((*sighs and goes on with other things* all good things must come to an end I supose... sad )) I guess you could say I have lived a long life, but in my mind the last few years are the brightest... One would say that is only normal, seeing as how the past was long and the last few years were close in my mind, but that is not really the truth... I loved the last few years the most because of the people in them... the people that I have loved, and lost...
Those are the ties that still bind me to this life, the ties that I cling desperately to in these days... but as my life slips away with my power I can't help but to question my motives...
Do I want to live because of the people I love, or because I am simply too afraid of what might come next?
The old part of me says that if I really wanted to live I would be trying harder to find a way to fix the break in my power!
There is the other side though, the side that worries what the people around me see... Do they still see the bright vibrant woman I used to be, or do they see the empty shell that I am slowly becoming? I can't bear the thought that they might see me like that! I would rather die alone than let them see the hollow powerless creature that I am slowly becoming...
Some would argue that I am being silly, that I am simply more human now than I was before, and that the humans manage to live perfectly happy lives without a drop of power in them... but it isn't the power that I fear losing, I am more afraid of who will be hurt by the loss of my power!
I could loose them all by simply being there when they need me, and not being able to do a a damn thing for them! stressed
*Hono sat out in the middle of the desert, heat waves dancing around her as she soaked up the sun. Chaotic orange eyes closed as she reflected on her current dilemma, soaking up the power of the heat all around her along with the rays of the sun, a slight smile quirking on her lips as she thought about how an ordinary person would never just be sitting out here, they would have to worry about things like heat stroke, and sun burn, and dehydration... where all this killer heat was a major part of what was making her feel more alive... and that thought quickly erased the glimmer of a smile from her features.*
sweatdrop ah the joy of never being human to begin with....*she shook her head a little, long strands of fiery red hair brushing the sand around her. She could feel the same power that she soaked up draining away almost as fast as she collected it... She had to admit that the fun in the tower had only made things worse, she had drained away her deepest reserves and even started leaching the power around her to keep going, now she couldn't even close the link between her and the children! She had to keep it open, and she had to stay out here to keep from draining energy away from them*
I find in me the strength to go on.... sad

"Hullo beautiful." He stood there, a shadow dragging across her form, seeming to watch the view much as she was. It reflected off the colours in his eyes before he sighed and looked down at her with a tired smile. There was something older about Sunstrike now. Long gone were the times where he and this girl would romp through the many portals of the Leviathan, and they were both feeling it. Dark circles marred his eyes, a foreshadow for a weary future. She probably wouldn't be here if it weren't for him, dragging himself through her mind. "You seem a bit lost, sitting out here all by yourself." Fingers found their slow way to her temples, lightly dragging her hair back so he could see her face better. "Was there something this humble servant could do? Other then bask in the glory, I mean." A simple grin quirked across the lips, half in humor, half sadness. He'd known...for how long now? Of course, you couldn't have a connection like this without some deeper knowledge.

*Rave didn't open her eyes, but she tilted her head back as if to look up at him with a happy smile* hey now, I think we both know that I am perfectly capable of getting into all sorts of trouble on my own xp
Perhaps I should ask you the same question Sunstrike? 'Cause I couldn't help but to notice that you do not exactly look the same as I remember...*Change of subject... a lame attempt to keep an old friend from worrying about her, besides she didn't really have a clue as to what to do with herself right about now, so it was no use admitting that to someone she still cared so much about.*
*Orange eyes opened to look up at him, wondering if it was any use at all to doge the subject.* And I couldn't help but to wonder if part of that was my doing... "You can not be changed by someone without changing them in return" sweatdrop and all that....

"Ah now...you changed me, but only for the better, Hono." He plunked all the way down beside her, leg stretched out, letting her hair fall back into place. His hands weaved around his knee and he leaned back a little in thought.
"I can't help but feel that you contributed to the good in me, while all I did was take from you. I don't know if there really is any way I could give back what I owe you."
He looked at her out of the corner of his eye, she could change subjects as long as she liked, he was content to just talk. None of that topic was really comfortable for him either, so he didn't blame her for taking her time.

I wanted to be just like you and Enki in the beginning, I met so many people by following you two around...Nedy, Kas, Night.. Evan sweatdrop *she grabbed a handful of sand and then let the grains slowly drain out between her fingers* where would I be today without you in the beginning? I would never have stayed at the stadium without you... sweatdrop

He poked her gently in the shoulder.
"You have your opinions, I'll keep mine," He grinned in return and drew his other leg up to hug both. "You'd still be a godess, instead of mortal, though, either or, you've still looked and been a godess to me. You wouldn't have done HALF as much damage..."
He started to laugh softly. "All those things you were so worried about burning...at least YOU didn't help blow the whole thing sky high..." His head turned to her. "Silly pyro's, the lot of us. Kas is..." Sun was silent for a moment, worry and a blush scrawling across his cheeks. "Recovering okay, a little distant...grumpy, but asleep now. So I thought I'd see where you'd wandered off to..."

sweatdrop I think eventually it would have come to this between Munin and I anyhow... She was meant to live life, not hide throughout the ages...
Kas is always distant... it is very good that you are as close to him as you are wink *she couldn't help the slight snicker at that, hoping that the two of them would eventually stop glancing at each other out of the corners of their eyes... but they were men, and Kas in particular could be a very stubborn man*
See, my problem right now is that I don't know what to do with myself anymore, I just feel rather useless... No one needs me anymore..*She shook her head looking down and doodling with her finger in the sand, that wasn't the whole problem.. there was still the link between herself and samantha, draining the life out of both of them...*

"We all feel like that sometimes..." Pretending the blush hadn't gotten deeper at her words on his and Vahn's relationship.
"It makes me sad to know you think you're unwanted Hono. Even I have to admit, though...this place has changed a lot from what you and I knew...makes me feel old, and more then a little homesick."
He perked up a little, maybe it wouldn't have to end like this.
"You know, me and Vahn are heading home soon, there are a few loose ends to tie down, he's gotta heal...did you wanna come with? S'a long way, but we've got this jeep...Looks like it'll hold up til we reach the coast! We can...go swimming..." He trailed off a little, watching her.

Everything changes... I guess that it is just a matter of keeping up with the times. Too bad I'm too old to learn new tricks*laughing at herself she flopped back in the sand and smiled up at the sky*

"Eh? Get in the way of what?" Cluelessness won out, lest embarassment overload his senses. He looked down at her, smiling much like he did before.
"What kind of new tricks? Maybe I can help?" Maybe it was best to just...innocently walk into the trap waiting for them both.

ooh like that cool fire bird thing that Vahn did.... now there was a cool new trick xp *she moved her arms a bit, almost making a snow angel in the sand* and there are all the new fighters... they all know so many new things...

"I don't remember much of it, believe it or not." He grinned and stood up.
"But you wanna make a pheonix? Welp....all we need is a chicken...and a lot of distance, and I'll make you a pheonix. Admittedly it won't be as BIG, and the whole thing'll probably be a little loud, but we'll have something nice to eat afterwards." Sun grinned down at her in complete wickedness, his palm reaching for her hand.
"New things aren't that special! I still have all my old tricks, they serve me well enough."

"Oh, well, yeah! I mean, how many other people you know can turn into a great huge lizard?" He watched her stand for a moment.
"Hono, you know...if anythings ever too wrong, you can hunt me down, I give you permission, alright?" He placed an arm about her shoulders. "C'mon we'll go see how that grump is, I'm owed a kiss for draggin his arse outta there, but you gotta promise to save me if he beats me up for it."
