Ryu and I were making popcorn shrimp, and came down to take them out of the oven.
Oven: *ON FIRE*
Yuki and Ryu: OMFG.
Ryu: Water! *grabs glass* *tosses water on fire*
Water: *Vodka*
Oven: *BIG FIRE OF DOOM*
Yuki: OMFG. *has fire in his face*
Ryu: *dying*
Yuki: OMFGOMFGOMFGOMFG. *flails towel around*
Oven: *sizzles*
Ryu: *dies on floor*
Yuki: *flailing like an angry Azumanga Daioh character* *with towel*
...don't put out fires with vodka. It ends...smoky.

wait a sec...dr4gongirl, the monster youre referencing isnt a gryffon is it?(in your test)
because there was a gryffon in a tale i heard about once, that guarded a road, and if any person wanted to pass, they needed to answer its riddle or be eaten. so in a way, the gryffon is a beast of truth. am i right in my assumption?
edit: and ryu shouldnt have been going through your pms to begin with, yuki. so that serves her right. 3nodding

yeah, that was it. sorry...fuzzy memory. i was close though; lions body with wings. the only thing wrong there was the head. thanks for reminding me ryu!
i do remember the riddle though;
what walks on four legs in the morning, two during the day, and three in the afternoon?
(the answer, if you dont know; is man. He walks on his hands and knees when hes a baby, on his feet when he is a man, and with a cane when he is old; the third leg being his cane.)

no, the gryffon was created in folklore before harry potter featured it XP
and in harry potter, theyre called hippogriffs. And the difference there is that it has the head AND wings of a birds, and the body of a horse. gryffons have the heads of lions and the bodies as well, but they have wings. ands im pretty sure you remembered gryffon from the house that hes in; gryffindor(sp?, havent read the book in...forever)

I meant the riddle from the sphinx... From book 4... Doesn't he run into a sphinx in the giant maze?
And I know plenty about griffins ok? I used to rp only griffin anthros characters...

I figured that, but I thought I'd explain anyway.

No, I dont believe so. Im pretty sure that..he ran into a spider of some sorts. i kinda rushed the end a bit, so i cant give exact details.
but yes, he was asked a riddle. during like...the second part of the trial. for the underwater rescue portion of the goblet.

No, in GoF, Harry was asked that exact riddle by the Sphinx or whichever creature it happened to be - and it was within the maze of the final round, I believe. It wasn't a spider - the vast majority of those were in Chamber of Secrets xp
