"You did a great job," he assured her with a smile. "Did you know, that my friends are coming to visit soon? I'm sure they would love to meet you," Brynjar said, a bright smile on his lips as he plucked the strip of tickets that the machine spewed forth, handing them to the girl.

"Really?" the girl asked happily, tilting her head as she looked to him. "Are your friends also like you?" Charity glanced to the tickets before gently pushing the other's hands towards himself. "Those are yours. You paid for the game, after all~" she nodded.

He shook his head, laughing gleefully. "I insist, Charity. If you make me keep the tickets, I will have to split them eventually and buy something for you," Brynjar insisted. "They are like me, yes. Christmas elves equipped with the best of Merry Magic! Except of course Ivy Rose, who's had her powers suspended for some time now," he continued on with a gentle frown.

The girl simply smiled at the boy as he spoke, listening to his words. "Why can you just use them all to get yourself something wonderful?" Charity asked, tilting her head. "And I'm sorry to hear that your friend had her powers taken away. What happened?"

"It's for the boy to get things for the girls. Traditional, old fashioned, but it's very proper, if you ask me," Brynjar said, walking towards another game machine. He pushed idly at the buttons, turning to Charity. "It is against the rules of Merry Magic and Christmas Spirit to ever do anything with ill intent, and she had hurt herself, so her powers were suspended until Mr. Frost will allow her to restore them."

The girl followed closely behind. "Oh, I see," Charity nodded slowly. "Why did she hurt herself?" She looked to the boy's fingers pushing at the buttons as she slowly moved to lean against the same machine.

"Nobody knows for certain. All that we do know is that Ivy Rose is very different from the rest of us," Brynjar sighed in thought, tapping at the buttons a few more times before deciding to play. He slipped a few coins in the proper slot, beginning to hit the buttons with vigor.

"Ahh," the girl replied with a nod, her voice trailing off. Charity watched him thoughtfully, wondering if it was a sore topic considering how he was playing the game. "Should we change the subject?" she questioned, her eyes fixated on his hands.

Brynjar turned to Charity as the screen displayed his obvious victory, the machine rather violently spitting forth the tickets he'd won. "When we're finished here, shall we stick together for another activity?"
