Midori would freshly snap out of the giddy daze she was put in after crushing the poor sap, Bertram. It would show, how happy she was with herself as she giggled, leaning forward and placing her hands on her hips. The look he held on his face before was priceless, as was the angry expression after.

she was called cruel, she had been cursed at for the most part. And yet, a person did not yet try to understand her position. Although it may not seem like much to someone else, to Midori the many kisses she had recieved.. They were aweful! They were embarrasing! They were humilliating!

Oh well. Midori seemed to be one of those girls who were cruel. The kind who, for the most part, would used to use someone until they were useless to her. In truth, however, Midori was quite kind. Ask any one of the previous residents!

Hakan, too was maybe a little cruel. Arrogant, selfish.. But he could be nice when he wanted to. If he really was so cruel, he wouldn't have ended up taking his own life just months ago. Or would he? Hakan's whole character was mysterious. Many around Jekyll de Hyde practically resented him.

He didn't seem bothered though. Although while he stood there outside the hotel he would hold onto a rather.. lonely expression for a moment. Why? He missed what few friends he had made previously. Many of them tolerated his arrogant attitude, even if it did wear on their nerves time to time. Oddly, though.. It was them, those 'back stabbers' as he called them, who intially(sp?) drove him to slitting his wrists.

He would lift up the slives of his coat to stare at the scars which were left over. Finally, that same devilish smile would come across his lips. For once, he powers were realized. Reconized! Duellist was the first, and if Hakan would have his way.. Duellist wouldn't be the last.

Tossing jet black hair away from his eyes by moving his head backwards, he would finally begin to walk into the hotel lobby whistling a cheerful tune.

She fought very hard against the power that assaulted her, but as she felt the monster released, so to did the sweetness and pain reach into her and awaken the dormant sweetness that was truly Taryn. The woman in Duelist's arms went limp, as if she fainted, and after a moment an enraged howl poured form her lips. It was wholly inhuman sounding, and wracked with pain. The limp body lay twitching in his arms, as if the inner turmoil was enough to rock the physical body. After a long moment, there was a gasp, and wide blue eyes opened, filled with tears... "I'm so sorry..." She whispered, going limp once more, into a true faint.

With another shriek of rage, and another wind borne of nowhere, the little girl appeared. Eleanore, as the male called her, was rather pretty. Large, blue eyes peered from beneath thick, light aburn locks of hair. A large, cream-colored bow kept half of those semi-curled locks. Her thin frame was covered in a cream and grey dress with a black pinafore over it. "Perhaps I shall find a nice little spice jar for you, Theodore."

The boy appeared shortly after, unhooking his fingertips from the suspenders that kept those black slacks in place."Elly...."

*Slowly wheeling around to meet the unseen voice, Rei-kun unknowingly tightened his grip on both his daggers. He did not like this, being snuck up on. It made him feel as he were someone's prey. And during his short life-time, he had come to realize that being someone's prey was a bad thing.*

*Seeing the tall demon standing in front of him, the demon hunter took a step back. His eyes narrowed.* Were you the one who was making all of that racket?

Duellist held her to him, his eyes filling with tears. "That's okay... it's all okay..." he tried to smile down at the woman he loved, but he couldn't. Instead, he concentrated, his power spiralling around them both. Finally, the other... the other woman... was sealed away, deep within the recesses of his beloved's soul. And... and that was all he could do. He felt empty inside, now. '...did I do the right thing?' The assassin warped them both back to the lair, then.

He lay her in the coffin, and brushed his hand along her face. He blinked when he found the diary, and held it. The urge to open it was hard to resist, truly. But the assassin managed it, placing it where he found it. He couldn't resist the urge to kiss her while she lay sleeping, peacefully.

The vampire then turned, and walked to his foyer, where he found Bertram crouched in the corner. "Master?" The wraith asked, miserably. "...was she telling the truth? I am worthless, aren't I..."

The vampire thought before answering, and then shook his head. :"No. No, you're not."

Bertram sobbed again. "Then why is everyone mean to me? Midori hates me... " Duellist opened his mouth, but shut it as Bertram continued, "Taryn thinks I'm worthless... even the little ghosts bully me..."

Duellist didn't have a response, at least at first. "Taryn... Taryn wasn't herself. As for Midori and those ghosts... I'm going to go speak to them. Right now." He reached out and patted the wraith on the head. "Get yourself cleaned up, Bertie. And keep an eye on Taryn."

The vampire faded out, suddenly, and reappeared in the bar of the hotel, his eyes a very frightening red.

((Damnit! She finally cracked. Someone get a pyschiatrist here on the double! eek ))

Taryn didn't know anything. She was pretty well far gone, and so went easily along with Duellists' actions. Her eyes opened for a moment, after Duellist left, and she whispered to Bertram. "I'm so sorry... I didn’t mean it..." And then the force of the day hit her, and she fell into a deep sleep.

((Because I have to actually get up in the morning. Blah. So good night all, and sorry for the drama... ^^;; ))
