Koujin simply chuckled as he hoisted the basket of swords over his back using a strap not visible from the front. "Ah you a wise one Mr. 4, I nearly had to take both legs off of Mr. 2, because he insisted on fighting right in front of the shop, very messy, very bloody." Koujin sighed as he recanted a story of todays earlier events as they proceeded out of the village gates and into the surrounding country side. Cresting one last hill of flowers they would find them selves in an almost circular valley, a good portion of earth was flat enough for a good duel and pieces and chunks were already torn through the flowers from the past battles. "Are you ready to begin Mr. 4?" he found it easier just to give his challengers numbers rather then have them bother with full formal names. "Now I won't be holding back so don't blame me for anything that happens." Koujin said as he reached up to the top of the basket his fingers sliding across hilts until he found the one he wanted and drew the blade.

"Do not worry. I won't be holding back either." Komen said as He himself pulled kept the predator armor on and extended the battle claw that was attached to it. The claw was comprised of two parallel blades that extended a good 3 feet from his wrist. He had a feeling that this man was going to be very fast, and very precise since his chosen weapons were very sharp blades. Komen wondered how he would fair against this one. Komens eyes began to pulse up in veins as his byakugan technique was taking effect. Komen thought that he should go first since this man had already siad that he wasn't going to hold back against him. Komen performed hand seal after hand seal, trying to predict what was going to come at him. As he was doing his hand seals, the cannon on his shoulder propped up and fired a powerful blast of energy at Koujin. It was a super heated energy that could melt steal and also melt the flesh off of bones. Komen continued to do his handseals as he watched his opponent.

 It seems as if your opponent has left rather suddenly. Too bad, what he was fighting for, you would have thought would have been more important then whatever he left to obtain." A male says, from a small distance away from where the fight had started, his dark almost black eyes shifting in their sockets to peer upon Koujin as a slight smirk forms on his lips. Of course, he had come as soon as he heard the rumors of the armor that was here. And since that was not too long ago, he was surprised to see that the fight had ended so suddenly. It was a real depressing thing, to see such an occurance. Some people were just not meant to fight for what they wanted. With a slight chuckle escaping his lips, he walks forward slowly. His bare chest showing that he held no notice able weaponry, which for a moment made it seem odd for such a thing. Perhaps he had everything concealed, and he was simply planning to reveal it all in the nick of time and fight for what the other male had come for. There was no reasoning really. He was here for the armor, in that limited time between battles in the Exams. "Shall I test my own abilities against your swords? You seem to be ready, for a fight as it is." He says, with a wandering eye being cast onto the many swords, along with the one that the male was already holding. He grins once, before raising his arms and crossing them about his chest in order to show an almost cocky stance. [274]

Koujin side stepped blast with a small hop his sandals drawing through the flowers without much resistence. "Hahaha... ahhh... I'm tired of saving the world, yah know? Hmmm I get the feeling that I know your chakra, but I guess we will just have to see if I'm right. Kōka Hirameke, Nijigasumi!" The blade began to glow before vanishing completey, as it vanished the blade released a blinding flash of light towards Than, if he paused even for a moment, he would be cut by a series of blades made entirely from light. He began performing hand seals preparing a jutsu.

 "Light? Ugh, that's annoying." Thantos said as he soon seemed to vanish entirely, using a simple Body Flicker skill to dodge the strike aimed for him. He was expecting an attack, but something made from light was a great bother to his usual abilities. For they normally caused him to grow annoyed. He was lucky enough to be ready for an attack, when he had come into such a battle. But a multitude of blades was not something he was expecting entirely. Either way it was time for Thantos to take his own offensive, although his opponent was preforming hand seals, perhaps for another attack against him or something to defend themselves from Thantos' upcoming attack, it could not be certain exactly which was the entire plan staged for. Either way, Thantos had no intentions of drawing himself into attack, so he figured the best thing to do would be to simply attack, and make sure he had a back up plan in case it were needed. But how exactly should he attack? There wasn't much time left, his opponent could surely control their own blades and that made things more annoying if they could. Thantos frowns a little and then makes a series of hand signs as he moves in a swift circle around Koujin. Figuring the best thing to do would be to keep moving, in case the blades could be controlled. As soon as his hand signs were finished, he grins as Ethereal Chains emerge from pockets at a maximum of ten feet from Thantos' form. these chains being about twelve in number all launch out in order to catch Koujin off guard. Each containing a barbed hook, in order to sink into flesh and hold Koujin in place, as well as drain chakra upon contact. The interesting thing about these chains, was that they were intangible until they struck the opponent, making them in a sense, unblock able by physical means. Thantos grinned, as he made another set of hand seals, in order to continue his preperations, as his chains attempt to ensnare Koujin. [349] [Ethereal Chains- A series of chains, to which emerge from a variety of substances including Than's form itself, they may even form from the air, though small pockets of a dark substance show where they are forming, when forming in the air only. They are intangible, which allows them to form and pass through most objects. [I.E. Trees, earth, walls, normal weaponry.] Though when they touch the opponent, they become tangible. as their hooks would connect to the opponent's flesh, which would then drain the chakra from the user until they are freed, or free themselves. The chakra drained form the opponent, only goes into keeping the chains at work. The chains may also wrap around the opponent, restricting their movement for another attack. Although, the amount of chakra drained is cut in half when the hooks are not connected. The chain double for every 10,000 chakra points of the user's possession. They're a length of 20 ft. And can only be used 10 feet from his form. Any that do not make contact, simply vanish when they reach their total range. The amount of chakra they drain, consists with the amount needed to use them only. Basically, it's enough to keep the chakra from being drained from Than, since they are supplying the source.
Basically, the chains are a form of stopping movement of the opponent. Since they become solid once contact is made, breaking out of them would be fairly simple, if they are not wrapped around. [since when wrapped around, no chakra is drained. It would last until Than releases them from exhaustion] ]

Koujin stood relaxed and at the ready, his blade actually pointed downward as if preparing for an upward slash. Then came the chains, they would hook into him and become corpereal, then as they began to draw away chakra the illusion placed there would vanish the Koujin simply poofing into a standard log, he'd used the basic ninja skill of substitution. "Interesting, those only looked solid once they hit the log, I mean it's pretty hard to notice it, but theres a slight shift in color, yah know? I'll have to watch out for that... Kakimushire, Konjiki Ashisogi j**ō!" the voice came from behind him a good 25 feet away, he'd picked that distance simply, because his next attack was rather large in scale. The blade pointed at Than's back vanished as it was obscured by at thick puple fog that rushed towards Than, and through that huge fog bank emerged the halo-ed head of a monstrous looking baby, as more of it overtook the rushing bank of purple fog that seemed to all be coming from the babies mouth, than would be able to see that it had the body of a large catepillar with a horrendous amount of blades coming out of it's underside. It rushed Than, mouth gaping it's blades looking to skewer the newest challenger through. This was by the strangest of the blades that the sword master seemed capable of wielding. The large catepillar baby was easily as large as any of the advanced summons such as Manda, Katsuya etc.

 "Well... Isn't that the most interesting thing you've ever seen." Thantos says, with a slow raise of his eyebrow as he looks at the attacking creature, though that was a sad way to describe such a thing. Simply standing there, paused in thought as if he were just waiting to be crushed. Thantos shakes his head slowly before he takes off running towards the thing. Towards, of all things that would be almost suicide to anyone. As he was running, he thew on a Breathing Mask. In case the odd purple smoke was poisonous or anything along those lines. Twisting into a sort of cartwheel and then using the Cutting Winds Technique, from Hidden Alchemy along with a strong push of his arm in order to actually tear at the ground beneath his hand, and thus shoot him into the air towards the monsterous thing that was attacking him. Twisting in the air at such a pace as to turn himself to face it, with debree and more wind from the attakc following behind him in order to strike the creature, he soon thrusts his left hand forward, as his fingers shoot out and aim to go not only through the creature, but possible continue on and strike it's 'summoner' Koujin. Of course, Thantos had no idea about the properties of either the opponent, or this blade summoned being. But he figured head on woudl be a good approach to striking instead of trying from below with that mass of blades to threaten him. Thanks to his Stabbing fingers technique. He had accurately managed to stop himself in the air, a little above the monsterous blade summon, and his opponent. [281]

As Than would jump up towards the head of the large catepillar baby, it would shift it's head slightly, it's halo catching the rays of the sun and directing them at Than. As he thrust the unbreakable points of his hand at the baby thing, it would meet some form of resistance, a wall of light, and if he took time to look around him he'd see that he was surrounded by walls around him, he was suspended mid air in an orb of light, his fingers may be unbreakable, but they didn't seem to be breaking the orb just yet. "Hmmm... I think I was right, I'm glad I used that particular one. My Saigyoku Nijigasumi should keep you from escaping, even with those interesting attacks of yours. I still remember serving under Dante-sama, those ruby red nails were always something to be feared, she was one of your elders, she passed away and with her went one of the greatest groups of our time. I imagine living in the Alchemy nation you at least new about the Alliance base in your backyard?" Koujin wasn't completely sure, but he had a certain amount of certainty that he was fighting one of the Dante clan now, and that information could prove to be invaluable in this battle. "Hmmm you must have been too young to be dragged into the army in the last war." he watched Than as the orb of light began to shrink, the swallowing orb or rainbow mist would continue to shrink until it crushed Than into a pulp if he didn't find a way to break out of it's prison.

[Well that's dangerous burning_eyes ]  Thantos raises an eyebrow slightly as his fingers retract and return to normal. "No. You're right. It was before my time, I'm actually a much more recent member of the Nation." He admits, with a slow nod of his head, as he looks about this light based prison that he was no stuck in. It seemed that his idea of attacking from above, was not exactly the best in the world, now that it's looked at more throughly. How was he expected to figure out a way to escape this place before he died from being constricted. He ponders his escape for a moment, before simply opening his mouth and lunging at the walls. With the technique known as Gluttony. He figured he could simply eat his way through the barrier, and emerge on the other side without needing to worry about things such as being crushed to death. Though it was hard, and would take a few seconds or more to make it through, it was not doubtful that he would, and as such. He'd then push off one of the light based walls, and force himself to move swiftly towards the ground below and Koujin. A sword of his own creation forming into his hand from a black void, as he moves through the air. His free hand making hand signs in order to prepare himself. Once he was close enough, he would slash with the ethereal blade, in order to use the technique that the blade is based behind, known as Eternal Blades: Awakening of a Warrior. And thus, drain his opponent's chakra away, determined by how lethal his ethereal blade's strike becomes. [277]

Free fall one of the hardest places to dodge an attack is when free falling, most ninja new that, Koujin exploited the fact simply pointing at Than's sword arm at the junction of shoulder and arm, the point would begin glow a bright orange, and if he didn't divert his course he would soon find himself missing an arm as a clay bomb sized explosion would take place right on his arm. With his hand pointing at Than he held the hilt of one of his invisible blades downwards, how strange that Koujin dropped the blade, even stranger still the blade began to sink into the ground vanishing. "Chire, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi." If Than someone how managed to avoid loosing his arm mid air, he'd still have to deal with the monster released from Koujin's other blade, the catepillar's tail lashing out of it's fog to strike Than, the sheer size of it would be sufficient to knock him back and do some blunt force damage. At the same time Koujin moved backwards out of the imediate range of the attack. With one sword gone a multitude of huge blades began to emerge from the ground in a two rows making a type of hall of blades with Than, the catepillar and Koujin inside. The blades began to shatter, or at least seem to shatter, the blades falling into thousands of petal like blades each of them glowing golden. "Each of your battles in the future will be just as dangerous as this when you posses the darkness, do you still think yourself capable?" the blades would circle around them in a vibrant display of light. A few of the petals fell into his hand forming into another sword, the hilt of the catepillar sword in his other hand.

[Noir. You're fun to fight. xd ] As soon as the explosion happened, it seemed as in fact Thantos had lost his arm entirely. And yet, at the same time his arm shattered into liquid and sprayed into the air, soon shifting from it's liquid state into a gas state in order to vanish from sight. The remainder of Thantos continued to fall, until the next strike to knock him with pure blunt force happened. But there was not much of a change in his defense. As soon as the tail struck him, he almost literally shattered into water droplets, spraying out until taking the form of a gas as well. Thus the use of the ability known as the Water Body Skill. Soon after becoming a gas like state, thantos reformed before Koujin. Of course there were plenty of things to need to worry about, but a simple strike and then leap back move never hurt anyone, at least never hurt himself. Almost as soon as he appeared, he was already slashing with a long katana that had formed into his hand. Aiming to strike his opponent with little heed. If his strike were to hit or not, Thantos moved back anyway, before he spoke. "Of course. All battles have their own deal of hardships, and difficulties. You really can not call it a battle, if it is easy." He says, as he chuckles, standing there in a half crouch. In his free hand was a kunai, to which he used to draw upon the ground. Nothing spectacular yet, of course. "Interesting array of weaponry you have around here. When I make it through all this, I wonder if I could count you as an ally." He says, before chuckling a little to himself. [288]

As Than struck forward, it looked almost like he had scored a hit, but Koujin's body faded away, just an after image made from light, produced from the light based sword he'd released and combined with his flowering blade at the same time, Koujin showing off some of his speed. Koujin nodded smiliing, "Wise words, but I'll warn you, the last alchemist I befriended, ended up with my blades in his back. He also had a Chimera who could pull that trick, it was a real annonyance to kill." Koujin chuckled a bit before frowning knowing that it would be hard to hit him with a physical attack if he could freely switch his form, he knew there were a few ways he could exploit the boy's water form, but that would require moving in dangerously close and probably forsaking the use of his blades. "Omote O Agero, Wabisuke!" he added yet another form to the golden glowing blade causing it to lengthen and bend shifting into a strange semi rectangular hook at the end of the blade. This would prove to be an interesting way to see if he could think on his feet and discover what was happened. The golden petals began to swirl with purpose now a veritable waves began to converge on him in a pincer movement closed in front of Koujin leaving the only way to advance was back ward where the catepillar was waiting preparing to lash him again with it's flexible tail, this time aimed more at it's head, maybe to dislodge the breathing mask?

 Thantos raises an eyebrow, a multi jointed attack ranging from almost every side, that was a rather annoying feat to have to dodge out of. He wasn't playing all too good of a stratagy either. With a slow frown he shifts a little, as the Kujaku Myouhou's feathers span out behind his back, slightly more feathers then that of a normal one as Thantos' lips twist into a grin. Even while the many blades and Koujin moved in, he released the feathers without even the need of a hand sign and allowed them to spread around him. Soon they enter the formation for the technique known as Scatter. Each spreading out towards the multiple petal like blades in a matter of seconds. Thantos grins, the many small feathers, shrinking and multiplying until they matched the number of blades that were going towards him, as each would use the ability of the Scatter Formation in order to stop the attack of these multiple small blades. Even as his attack began, he knelt and activated the Alchemic circle that he had created only moments before. He grins, as it's activated, but nothing seemed to happen. Instead, he leaped a few feet backwards, in order to place the circle between them. Since there was no light, it was unconfirmed if he had actually activated the circle or not. "Oops. I guess I'm still a little rusty, as an alchemist... Now, you stabbed the poor guy in the back. I hope there was a good reason for that?" It was funny, keeping up a conversation even in the midst of battle. [264]

 Tamao looked around, almost instantly recognizing her home of Hidden Nano. What in the world had just happened?! One minute, no, one second, she had been watching the fight against the God of War, Ares, and now, now she was all the way back home, gone in an instant! How in the world had something like that happened?! Wait, she remembered a little more now. The stranger who had claimed to be from the future, he had changed. Before, he had been wearing black, and had looked weak and exhausted. Then he had changed, shifted, into garments of green and gold, and he seemed perfectly healthy. And malicious. Something about the tone of his voice, it had felt evil, malevolent. Even if she hadn't seen him, hadn't known what he was capable of, that voice would have been all the convincing she would ever need. He was evil. As such, she felt it was her duty to try to stop him. But how? Even if she were to go back to Hidden Time, would he still be there? And would it even matter, if he could, so effortlessly, send her to another village in the blink of an eye, with no more apparent effort than her brushing away a fly? She frowned, troubled by the appearance of what seemed a truly great force of evil. She had thought she was a brave warrior who fought for justice, but Loki's appearance had her somewhat rattled. It was only sensible, if he was a god like Ares was, or rather, had been, if in fact he had been killed, then he was as far above her as she was above an ant. But she couldn't let herself give up, she had seen the awakening of a great evil, and she would have to try to see it through to the end. She couldn't just let this Loki go free, even if it meant her own death! She nodded, resolve flowing through her. But even then, she felt doubt. She was determined, she knew that for a fact, but she had to be reasonable. He was strong! There was no doubt about that. Likely, even without his magics, he would still be stronger than her. So what did that mean? That she had to become stronger still! She didn't think she could reach his level, that would just be foolish to even try, but at the least, she could train, and put some of her knowledge to the test. Perhaps even finally try her hand at blacksmithing? She had wanted to try crafting her own blades for a while now, ever since her journey to Hidden Craftsman. With that short term goal in mind, she set out, to leave her home before she was swayed by old memories. She would craft some swords, and practice their use, so when she was able to find Loki, she could stand firm against his evil. She could do nothing else. (500)
