Ryou still didn't dare look from his glass. His finger ran across the wet drops. "I don't know..." he whispered and began moving his bare feet nervously. He felt another pair of eyes on him and winced. "It's okay...it is always best to say how you feel. I wouldn't want to make you even more bothered." His brown eyes shifted slightly to the ground.
"It's just that...I don't want to trouble you. I know I would...I don't think you should like me like that...All that would do is make things worst." He felt himself shiver and he gripped the glass tightly. He felt the same way for Malik...but that didn't matter. If he went through with it all it would do is hurt them both. "I'm sorry...I am really really...sorry." He clenched his eyes shut with annoyance. "I really am."

(*crys* Poor Ry-ry! Ry-ry...where did that come from? o_o wink Malik was silent as Ryou spoke. Finally, when the other was finished, total silence ruled the room. Bakura was shocked. Did he just hear what he thought he heard!? Malik must have confessed. To his host. What, did Bakura suddenly have no say in his dear yadounshi's life? They had shared bodies, for the longest time, and now this? The tomb robber glared, but was silent. Ryou have turned him down for now, so there was no need to get involved. Yet. "You wouldn't worry me, Ryou. Please stop apologizing; it isn't your fault." The Egyptian fell silent for a moment, unsure of what to say. He didn't want to make Ryou feel guilty. "It's your choice, so don't regret it later." Malik's stomach growled slightly, causing the teen to stand and creep off to the kitchen to find an apple or two to eat. Bakura was silent. He didn't move.

((Haha...x3 It's fun...fun fun fun! *runs off to go play .Hack*))
Ryou looked up as Malik left, his brown eyes watering. "It is my fault..." he said under his breath and bit the inside of his cheek. He felt his stomach twist and he leaned over. "I'm sorry." He had wanted so bad to say the same thing back to Malik...So much it had hurt, but he knew it couldn't happen. No one...
"I'm so stupid." he said through clenched teeth. He gripped his knees tightly, knuckled turning white. He felt his eyes sting as they watered more. It was useless, why did it always have to be like this?

(.Hack looks like a good game, but the mature sexual themes on the label shooed me off, sadly.) Malik heard Ryou's soft voice as he left, but he couldn't make out what he said. So the Egyptian rummaged through the kitchen. He was having much more trouble this time. "Ah, poor yadounshi...Is mean Malik breaking your heart?" Bakura finally made his presence known, creeping out from behind the couch. He sat next to the crying teen, watching him cry. But as soon as he sat, he heard Malik's footsteps. Bakura disappeared behind the couch again. "Don't let him toy with you, you can't be loved," were his final words before he disappeared. Why did Bakura not want Ryou to love? Simple: They'd expect him to go with it. Besides, it was all part of his plan. Turn them all against each other, until finally, the wipe themselves out. Malik walked back, and was surprised to hear Ryou speaking. The Egyptian was shocked, as usual. He sat next to the other boy, curling an arm around his shoulder. "No, you aren't. You're...just not ready, I guess.." Malik couldn't really explain it. But it was the thought that counts, he supposed.

((Sexual themes in .hack? Whoa whoa... I've read all the manga, seen most of the anime, played a few of the games and read the novel, and I do not remember there being any sexual themes in it at all.))
Jou raised one eyebrow. "I thought you said there were no rules?" He didn't get Yami Malik sometimes. Most of the time. "You seem like the kinda guy who would like the games with no rules."

(Hey, it's what the box said. Is the manga good? Not that I can read it, I have hard enough time getting Fruits Basket and Yugioh, but I might try to convince my parents to get it.) "There aren't rules, you silly uke!" Yami Malik was now confused. Had he ever said there were rules? The split personality couldn't remember, since he didn't really care. "And yes, games without rules are best. You don't have to remember all of them, and people can't say that you cheated."

((Sexual themes? HAHA omg, thats funny. The only thing that I think is bad is how annoying it gets when you constantly have to tell Mistral to heal! She just CAN'T do it on her own...But I love her anyways. XD
But yeah, no sexual themes...don't know WHAT those people are talking about...*just got back from playing it*
And the manga was okay...not as good as the anime. ^^. The original anime was awsome, without those annoying highpitched voice actors. @____@ Seriously...))
Ryou flinched as he heard Bakura's voice and shook his head, not saying a word. He knew he couldn't trust Bakura, but then again he couldn't really trust anyone. When Malik made himself known Ryou bit on his cheek again and forced the tears back, glad they hadn't fallen yet.
Trying his best he looked up, hiding whatever pain he felt. "You don't have to try to make me feel better." His voice quivered slightly, his brown eyes moving away. "It's okay, really."
((Ahh, couldn't think of a decent post...all my creative writing juices are always used up on the collaborative works forums x___x))

(I wonder why the box said that, then? o_o;. I'll probably end up getting the first one and peering around. It looks really good, but I tryed to read the second review without playing the first game and got confused.) Malik's soft lavender eyes were focused on Ryou's brown eyes. "I'm not trying to make you feel better- I'm telling the truth." The Egyptian didn't move from his position, regardless of what the other teen said. He wasn't about to leave Ryou. Anyway, what would he do otherwise? He might as well stay with the pale teen. (Aw, that was a good post J! biggrin )

((Yeah, they're better in order, cuz' you carry your characters info from one game to the next ^^. Plus the story continues as well.
Maybe they were referring to the costumes with sexual themes >>. Just because some are kind of revealing. There's really nothing too bad though.))
Jou grinned. He didn't seem to mind the name uke this time, and if he did he didn't let it show. "That sounds more like ya'." He held the soap out for Yami Malik to take. "Well, we aren't here to play games ya' know. We're here ta' get clean. So are you?"

((Heh, I would think you would go in order. xp.
And yeah...the outfits are a bit revealing, nothing like wet white t-shirts on girls with DD breasts...>>;;
Sorry...*coughs and stops talking*))
Ryou smiled slightly and nodded to Malik. "Okay." he couldn't think of much else to say before shifting uncomfortably and taking a drink of his water. The cool water slid down his now dry throat quickly, making him drink down the glass quickly. He hadn't realized just how thirsty he had been, or how nervous in fact.
"Ummm...is there anything you need or want to do?" His voice seemed quieter then usual as his eyes stayed on the now empty glass.

(Yeah, that's probably it. I'll try it when I get enough money. ^_^ *choke* Ryou! In that situation, 'Is there anything you want to do' sounds so...funny! Or maybe I'm perverted. xd ) "Actually, the playing was more fun." Yami Malik sulked slightly, before washing up as well. Next on his to do list would be to tortue Jou more. Malik smiled to him softly. "I shold be asking you that after all I've put you through." The Egyptian was thankful their friendship didn't appear to be ending because of a miss-placed question. He didn't pay attention to the other drinking the glass; it was natural, since they had been injured...yesterday? The day before yesterday? All of the days here seemed to blend together.

Jou laughed. "Yeah... well, we can play after we finish gettin' clean." He ran his wet hands through his hair a few times to dampen it, then proceeding to scoop handfulls of water over his shoulders to get rid of the last of the suds. "I've had enough blood on me for awhile."

(Sorry 'bout that absence there.) Yami Malik sulked. Washing wasn't fun. Neither was thinking about earlier, either. The split personality tried not to picture the pathetic, dieing creature, probably so underweight that there were dogs that weighed more, barely able to breathe most of the time, only living off of energy from it's host. He looked away from Jou. The Millenium Rod had healed Yami Malik for the most part, except for the occasional, barely notice able shadow of his rib cage.

((Sorry about my even longer absence gonk ))
Jou blinked at Yami Malik, noticing him looking away. "Hey." He poked the other's side with his foot. "Somethin' up over there?" Though he couldn't imagine what he could have said to have made Yami Malik suddenly get so quiet. Usually he wouldn't let anyone shut him up.

(It's fine. ^_^ Lets get this show back on the road!) A smirk came across his lips. "What? Not used to me actually being quiet? It's not like you can talk." He lifted his head, lavender, glazed eyes peering over at the uke. His pride refused to directly answer the question, but the depression was brief. And over. The split personality shook his head, still smirking. "Are you done washing?"
