He stood now, atop the outer rim of the coliseum, facing outward and gazing down at the people beneath him. His expression was bored, his posture proposed this as well. After hours of standing there, he got an idea. It was something to do after all.
He spread his arms out, his hands pointed out in a knife-like position, he stood compeltely erect. Just then, he hopped off with the utilization of just his feet. He continued to fall, face first, at a rate of which would completely shatter his skull. But, just as his nose came but just an inch from striking the unforgiving dry soil, he stopped. He kept both arms out, and just floated there for the time being.

Akako Shiko
Akako'e eyes opened and she tilted her head to look over at Omi and Shilon. "Hn..." She stood back up fully, her back now off the wall and headed over to the boys. Her arms fell away from her chest and she stuffed her hands into her pockets. She walked over slowly and had a layed back look about her, but her eyes showed she was being very catious of her surroundings.

"Hey boys... " She said smootly as she arrived in their area. Akako pulled her hands out of her pockets and they rested at her sides. "What do you think they are going to do?" She asked now turning towards the battle then looked back over at them. Her voice had been slightly muffled by the cloth that cover her face. Her right hand camp up and her thumb came across the cloth and over her lips. She turned again to the fight and watched waiting for a reply as her hand fell back to her side again.

It wasn't until Akako had first spoken with such a smooth voice, that Omi swiftly turned around - slightly irritated at himself for not noticing her earlier. But, relaxing his shoulders and losing what tenseness he had gained, the mercenary gazed back at the fight with a smirk.

"Honestly, I couldn't tell you. The one with that odd mist flowing about him seems to be our attacker, so to speak - but, he's at least being contained, at the moment. If all of us struck at him at once, I highly doubt he'd last for long. Not that we should, mind you."

Gazing over at Shilon for a second, Omi gave a light shrug. "Perhaps he found out about this place housing tournament contestants and wanted to 'test himself'." His last words spoken had a bit of mockery to them. "You know the type. Bah. Nothing we should waste our times with, if you want my honest opinion, the both of you." Letting his left hand slide into a respective pocket of his pants, the other lighty scratched his side for a moment.

Although his eyes never left the battle - gazing at it with such an odd, piercing glare - Omi seemed to voice his next statement and following question towards Akako, "Name's Omi, this guy's Shilon. Yourself?"

Akako's crimson and gold eyes averted their glaze over to Omi and she smirked, although it was unnoticable. Her voice came again still soft but had a proud tone to it. "Akako.. Akako Akari. Nice to meet you boys."

Her focus then returned to the fight and she thought about what Omi had said about all attacking at once and she laughed mentally. Of course it wouldn't last for long.. who would last long with four people attacking them.. well... decently strong people that are capable of fighting. "Hm... " She thought for a moment before speaking again. Her tone was serious and her eyes narrowed as she examined the mist creature. "I would assume that you would be able to go through it and attack to man controlling it.. right? I mean.. it is mist" She emphasized the word mist then looked over at Omi and Shilon. "Wouldn't you think? I'm wondering if the guy fighting him had thought of that yet... I'm sure I would have already attempted that.. well maybe not. It could be poision..." She then turned back to the fight as she spoke and her brows furrowed as she thought of this.

"Akako, ah? Very nice to meet you, as well." Turning his gaze from the fight with an uninterested stare, he sat down on one of the stone benches behind him - yawning loudly. After clearing up said yawn, Omi began again, "The man with those magical attacks, though, seems to have the upperhand in this. Whoever the Hell our little attacker is, he'll be out momentarily."

On her comment about the mist, he gave another light shrug. "There's definetely something unnatural about it. If you wanted me to be honest - I'd say.. it even seemed alive. But again, I doubt it'll matter for long. What I'm concerned about, is.. can we be sure this guy's our only opponent? Did he strike here individually, or with a group? Furthermore, was this a planned strike, or totally random? ..Bah, random questions won't get us anywhere."

Crossing both arms behind his head, the mercenary spoke in a relatively more calm, slightly merry voice, "So, are you a contestant in this, or just came here to watch everyone duke it out~? I've enlisted for the tourney, myself." Now, his eyes were upon the sky.

Akako's eyes were still focused on the fight. "I'm not sure if I am strong enough yet.." She said softly. Akako then turned and sat down as well a few feet away from him. "I've been training, but I don't think I am ready. I will once I think I can actually move on to the next round. I would at least like to try." Her eyes showed her determination. Akako then leaned forward and looked down at the sand beneath her feet. Her elbows rested on her knees and her hands were folded together. She seemed like she was in deep thought. You can do it Akako.. just work harder. You'll get better.. and maybe be able to control your powers before this thing is done She cringed at the thought of her powers. That worried her the most. She couldn't change forms with out losing control and about destroying everything within a ten mile radius. She shook the thought away then her eyes shifted over to Omi. "Have you started yet? I mean.. the tourney."

Hearing her first comments, Omi chuckled once with a reassuring voice. "Don't underestimate yourself. It's often when we are pressed against a wall, that our true skill and potential is unleashed. The same applies to all." But when her question came, a light flicker came to his amber-brown eyes. "..No. Not yet. I will be soon, though." Laying all the way back, eyes gazing with a far-off sort of look in them, his mind began to wander.

"Please. With that pathetic little flame, you won't even survive against him for a moment. How pathetic, that Vincent took you of all people as his underling!"

Teeth gnashing together, Omi sat back up suddenly - running his right hand through his messy, dark hair. Something looked to have bothered him considerably, but he gave a valant attempt not to show it. "I've been practicing for this tournament for a good while now. But, I'll be continuing first thing tonight, and every spare moment I have until the matches start. You should too, Akako."

Gazing over at her with a much warmer smile, he added, "Who knows. Maybe you and me'll go up against eachother one of these days?"

Akako had noticed that something bothered him, but left him to tell her about it when he could trust her. She then smiled when he started talking about practicing. Even though her smile was hidden her crimson and gold eyes showed that she was actually very happy at the moment. "I train as much as I can. It's like a past time now." She shifted then sat up fully and looked over at him. "That would be fun.. to go against you.."

Akako's head twisted upwards and she looked at the sky. "I wonder what it would be like.. going against you I mean." She turned and looked at him again her eyes serious. Her left hand came up and brushed a few strands of her onyx black hair away from her eyes. Her scar was more visible now as were her strange eyes. "You are obviously a good fighter and by the time I join I should be pretty good as well. It would be a fun match. I wouldn't even care about who won, but I would work my hardest." Her eyes stayed on Omi and locked onto his eyes.

Watching her sit up fully as well, her eyes seeming to shift slightly, Omi nodded once. "Working hard can make the days go by quickly, that's why we never notice them. And the same to you." He was calm, arms relaxed and hands outstretched slightly. But, his legs were always tense, as though he were prepared to suddenly move away at anytime..

"You know, when I first heard of this tournament, I thought it'd just be easy money. Another betting square, ya know? But, I'm slowly finding it to be something entirely differnent.." However, as her eyes seemed to lock onto his own - almost with an akward gaze in response, the mercenary spoke, "I see. I dunno if you can call me a 'good' fighter or not, but.."

Smiling, he continued, "Suppose we do fight, I'll make it a good bout, ah? Heh, that's if I don't fall asleep during my first match or something." Giving a quick chuckle, he stood up strong upon his legs, reaching both arms out and letting his jaw drop a tad to etch out a slow yawn. Then, in a groggy voice, "Akako, by chance, do you know if there's anyplace that serves food around here?" Judging by the context of his conversation, and how mellow his stance was - it was highly unlikely he was even slightly concerned with the battle occuring below.

He floats back up to his feet and makes his way into the coliseum, walking through the arch-way that leads into the arena. He just blinks boredly at the fight going on, as though it was an ever-day thing...
Well. It was here.
He looked around, and noticed a small group of people congregating around the stands. He knew they weren't normal humans, some of them maybe not human at all. So, he decided he'd go say hi. So, he just hopped up the large height into the stands and walked up to them, waving lazily.

Akako listened intently as he spoke. She knew it would be hard from the begging. The only reason she thought that was because the man that had told her about what it was scared her the most. Akako didn't know what she would do if she were to face him. She shook the thoughts away and heard him asking about food. She lifted a brow and her jaw dropped slightly.

She stood as well, her hand lifting to her face. Akako debated pulling it down to show her face then thought against it. "Um..." She thought for a moment then shook her head. "I'm sure there is something around here..." Her hand fell back to her side and she leaned on her right leg while looking at him. "We can go look around if you want.. I'm famished. Haven't had food sense..." She thought a moment. "God.. I don't know." She then laughed. Her laugh was held back as if she was afraid to.

"Surely. Not that I'm that hungry.." At that moment, a loud growl flew from his stomach - and Omi's eyes widened slightly, a sweatdrop forming at his brown once again. Scratching the back of his head with his left, gauntlent-adorned hand, he added with a quick sigh, "Or, maybe I am. Let's scout around, ah? Shilon! You should-" Stopping himself mid-sentence, he decided to reword what he was saying, left eye twitching a tad. As though he'd nearly said too much. "Shilon, scout around for somewhere to eat and meet with us, ah?

Gazing back over to Akako, he grinned a tad as he heard her nearly withdrawn laugh. "They've gotta have a place to eat around here somewhere. Their fighters couldn't last in this place for days on end without it, ya know? It'd be fighter cruelty, or something like that." His voice held a bit of mild jest now, as his eyes scanned over the rings of the battlefield for.. something like an entrance to, perhaps, a place containing a food court as he suggested it had.

Her legs moves swiftly as she ran down the hall her eyes scanning for anything with food. Akako glance behind her wondering when if he would catch up or realize she had left. She furrowed her brow and slowed a bit.

" ... "

Huh?
Was he invisible?
Oh well, it's not the first time people didn't notice him. So, he just shrugged to himself and laid himself down on the stands.

"Naturally~ After all.." Turning around slowly, Omi gawked a tad. She wasn't there. Turning to Shilon very quickly, he spoke with a sheepish grin, "Hey, you know what I was talking about, ah? I'll pay you back for the trouble if you find anywhere that serves, we'll talk more " With that, he turned back towards the exit, which he assumed Akako'd gone through.

"Geh. I shouldnt've stood that way for so long, she must think I was being rude or ignored her or something.." The mercenary thought with a sweatdrop at his brow. So, that's when he did it. Lurched forward, the upper sections of his feet carrying his entire body weight rather than either whole foot.

He was inside the hall and down it in but a few moments time. The way he'd moved then, was absolutely nothing like before; though when he did spot Akako.. rather, nearly came crashing into her from the spiral design of the interior, Omi came to a sudden stop, forcing the back of his feet to shift his bodyweight backwards and cancel out his forward dash - keeping him in place. "Ah - hey, found anywhere yet?" He asked with a sheepish grin.
