*raises hand* Ooh! ME, ME!!! I can't wait. I've even been watching the online special behind the scenes stuff. I think this is going to be the best one yet.

Any one for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer? biggrin

I liked the first FF4 movie, and for those who wished for more action, the sequel, Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer, looks like it will deliver. For anyone that doesn't know about it or thinks it will suck... Here are a few clips:

FF2:RotSS Teaser

FF2: RotSS Trailer

FF2:RotSS Full Trailer

Now, can you honestly tell me you aren't the least bit excited?!? xd

I'm seeing Spider-Man 3 with nobletiger this Friday! The movie is gonna be awesome! mrgreen

I'll probably see it with my three cousins next week after my other cousin's graduation and before the after party.

I have a big family as any Vietnamese person does. 3nodding

I saw it.

It was so lame and cheesy, I swear, but I was laughing my a** off the whole time so it was kind of money well-spent. Awful, awful writing, though.

SPOILERS/Got some serious Clana vibes from Mary-Jane/Peter in this film. I think it was the lack of communication and the fact that although they really have the worst relationship where they don't even tell eachother how they're feeling they still got back together at the end -- even though Peter was "evil" and never even explained to MJ that it wasn't his fault she took him back. That, and he proposed Clark-style when she was breaking up with him.

Harry/MJ/Peter made Clexana. And none of them were really portrayed as being cool people. I don't really have a shipping preference for Spider-Man, although I lean to MJ/Peter, but she was being so whiny I was so ready to ship Gwen/Peter, except that didn't have any substance so I was just screwed.

Characters were underdeveloped. Villains were inconsistently portrayed. Et cetera. Oh, and emo!Peter and particularly the way he acted and in fact in a sense that plot thread itself gave off some serious Superman III vibes -- or was that just me? But, guys, when he was evil and he flipped his hair over so it was emo, and then we had that massive close-up and you could see he was wearing eyeliner? I lost my s**t. That was hilarious.

They also had a few shots that looked like they were lifted out of Advent Children/Kingdom Hearts II. Don't really care, I'm just sayin'.
/SPOILERS

All in all, I thought it sucked, but it was unintentionally funny so it was kind of worth it. It irks me that people think Spider-Man is cooler than Superman, and also that they'll probably say that this film was better than Superman Returns.

At least SR had a coherent (albeit recycled) plot -- that's all I'm saying.

It's worth it -- but only if you're a Spider-Man fanboy who'll love it nomatter what, or if you can look past the lame plot and cheesy one-liners, or if you like unintentional humour (like me, and in fact I might even buy it on DVD just for that).

Oh, you know what was weird, though? My mum was like "Ugh, I don't think I could sit through a Spider-Man film. I've never liked the story of Spider-Man." And I was like "Since when have you KNOWN the story of Spider-Man? Or any superhero!"

Think she's a closet comics geek?
