It hurt, it hurt, everything hurt and was wrong. Neither rider nor dragon had ever experienced such pain or fear in their lives, and the onset of both at once made each worse, as the one fed into the other and back again. Of the two, though, Hesperoth maintained the most of herself, and once on the ground she pressed her golden bulk against it to allow the Healers an easier route up. It was difficult to be still with her rider's panic bleeding in and gnawing away at her, and her own worry and guilt and helplessness to do anything, to make it stop, ate at reason. But with heaving, quivering breaths that exhaled as creeling, she forced herself to lie still and allow those who could help to do what they were there for, and wrapped her mind around Hers' to try to offer comfort, or at least support. Her neck wept ichor from a fairly minor wound from what bit of the clump had found her hide, but it was clear that her rider had taken the brunt of the hit.
Sylfie was vaguely aware of hands, voices, whispers of awareness slipping through the pain and panic. She was conscious, arguably, but incoherent and incapable of being any help to herself or the Healers, but neither would she actively be a hindrance to their tasks. She was well past the ability to do much at all but whimper...or scream and possibly flail weakly, depending on where she was touched. The tangle of Thread had connected squarely with her right side, and the damage ran from her cheek down to her arm and torso and then on down to her thigh.
Make sure it is all gone, she demanded of the blue, far more sharp in tone than she usually was. ...Please.
The mental brushes from the other Queens received distant, grateful acknowledgement colored with heartache. It was not supposed to be this way! Her poor, precious Sylfie. I am so sorry, Mine.
Uta
pardon my zombie-brained attempt at this (she's really probably not long for consciousness, tbh)

Alucarth was focused on a particular piece of Thread, flying towards it and about to open his mouth to flame it when the wind caught his wingsail and pushed him away. There was a growl from both he and Al'ndru before the two betweened to get closer to it.
The pair came out as close as they were able to get, but it was close enough. Alucarth opened his mouth wide and easily belched flame, destroying the clump.

This high up the winds were a lot worse then in the lower altitude. It had been expected but Alucarth hadn't expected that he would almost be pushed and thrown around by the wind. He fought hard, flapping his wings to keep himself right where he was needed to me, his muscles aching as both he and Al'ndru pushed their all forward. They had to keep going, they wouldn't give up and lose this just because of the sharding wing!

you see one of your wingmates struggling against the wind. They're getting blown out of their empty airspace, and dangerously close to a patch of Thread! You are able to twist and accurately flame down the clump they were going to fly into, saving them from Threadscore! Quote a Wingmate that took Threadfall Damage and nullify it! You saved them from the pain!
The wind was still trying it's best to push Alucarth out of position. The small bronze doing everything he could to fight it. Whirling eyes flecked with red saw one of his nearby wingmates being blown by the wind and into a patch of Thread. He easily twisted and moved to flame the Thread down, keeping them from getting hurt.

The happiness he saw in her eyes was unmistakable when he turned around for her, though the bronze only figured it was because he was not too badly hurt then anything else. She would have shown just as much happiness to one of their other clutchsiblings.
Aresoth paused when she nuzzled him back, his head moving back to look her over. There was something different, strange, in how she was acting, as if she was trying to hide something from him. He didn't care for not knowing things, he didn't like anything taking him off guard. Cynosuth....are you alright? You seem troubled by something? He knew that while, yes, Thread was worrying her, Aresoth didn't think that was the cause for this. He didn't want to think that anyone had done or said anything to her to cause her this pain....and if Elzebuth had decided to play a game...to manipulate her...Aresoth's eyes flecked with red for a moment before he calmed himself down.

They shifted, from the lower altitude to the higher altitude taking over for the group that were starting to show some exhaustion from dealing with the masses of thread. A few showed it as well, threadscore seemed to be plenty handed as gaps of missing riders showed in formation. They took it easy, maybe too easy as Rynsaith flames missed a clump of thread as Sa’do shook his head disappointed.

Fighting at low altitude with wind and twisting deadly strands was one thing, the thread had been small but there had still been room to maneuver. Changing into the higher ranges meant the pace shifted, the danger intensified and no dragon could even turn their heads without meeting thread to flame. Unsurprisingly the new onslaught resulted in heavy injuries that came with high penalties. When Thella and Lireloth were forced into retreat Mharlith let out a keen creel of concern.
But at least they were in the healers hands now. Refocusing Nim redirected her energies. Holding back on flaming any thread that wasn't directly a threat to their safety Mharlith circled their formation, nosing back any dragons that had fallen out of the practiced flying shapes all the time offering his own brand of soothing comfort and encouragement.
Stay with the wing my sweet ones. We have to protect each other now more than ever, but the good thing is, the thread is so thick here, you can't miss, keep your firestone going and your flame strong.
Wingsecond post: If a Wingsecond, you're always looking out for your fellow wingmates, and trying hard to lead and inspire. Though you take cues from your Wingleader, you're a force onto yourself. This time, you make an inspired call, and wind up helping them get a burst of renewed confidence. Quote your Wingriders and they all immediately Gain +5 HP in a moment of renewed energy and inspiration. We have another wing to our right, so keep your flame focused ahead or too your left.

It was harder, at least there was more to keep their focus when maneuvering around the skies, there was a clump of silvery mass in front of them as Rynsaith’s chest rumbled expelling a long breath of flames. Unexpectedly the wind shifted sending the silvery mass into a different direction as they moved in between only to reappear in the middle of the mass the threads burning as they tangled in. Another blink and they were out of it again but the pain lingered almost unbearably.

The pain still settled in as they tried to do their best to wince through it, of course Rynsaith was grumbling all the while if anything this was far too much effort for the lazy bronze. Still as pieces of the thread grew to close the oversized bronze rolled out of its way, more likely to avoid the pain again then attempting to dispose of them.

The wind blew, it worse higher up then it was at the lower altitude enough that it dragged Rynsaith out of the formation as his head dropped in refusing to return. Sa’do cheeks flushed red as other rider’s signaled for them to get back into place but the bronze merely shook still refusing out of exhaustion and pain.

With thread so thick and Mharlith's flame hot and strong blow back was becoming an ever increasing issue. Especially with the wind so unpredictable. One particularly large clump blew straight back into their faces, but with the wing doing so well even that could not deter the pair. They gritted their teeth through the full body sting and tingle, flashed between to cool it and came out ready to flame again.

Still struggling to get back into the proper formation a piece of thread scattered across Sa’do’s leg causing it to burn with a shriek of pain. Rynsaith quickly shuddered in between but the pain still lingered adding on to the others from before making it only more unbearable for the two.

Nimueh put a hand on Mharlith's neck trying to pour all her love, support and admiration for her partner into their connection as he belched flame again and again. He did not seem to be flagging or fatigued and Nimueh was in awe of his raw power. Now they were high in threads fall, he never seemed to miss his target or go without a new one for more than a few seconds and the air around them was thick with the resulting crack dust.
