barry hp: 92Leslie stared incredulously as the blond infant masquerading as a hunter healed him, well. Sufficiently. "T...hanks..." he said, slowly, eyeing the kid. The kid that was, really, his exact same age. Physically, anyway. Emotionally? Mentally? There was no telling. All the same, Aleria reported a full shield, so Mik's hackjob with bandages had actually been...successful. Maybe that was what was more alarming than anything. "Good job," he offered, awkwardly patting Mik on the shoulder before taking off to go fight He Who Stomps On Camps. leslie hp 49 dmg 8 charge 1/3 fear chl1, ey2 remain barry AD: 1 buffs: x2 dmg to armored +2 defense

Rep left Sasha to her beauty sleep and wandered over to Tension on Ice.
"Did she have the antidote?" he asked. "I've got a few kids I need to take out, she can come with, if you are willing to part with her. I don't know when s**t will go pear shaped here. Sasha's infected, she won't be the last."

Cain was pissed, what kind of s**t was that? Screw the hunter that was injured or infected what the hell ever, that was HER OWN FAULT. She chose to come here and knew the risk and besides wasn't the main goal here to save civilians? By the way, hi, she was ******** and you know the sobbing mess of confusion Rep left them to deal with wasn't. For ********, the hunter shouldn't be over a civilian, but it wasn't his call, a glare was passed to the group that brought her in and he announced loudly,"well that was bullshit," having no fear of any of them in the immediate area, even though he knew most of them could kick his a**.
Plus it was dark, not like they could see who he was, hah.
Hearing Lukas he snorted, "he's a moron gorilla." Then Gretchen pipped in and Cain nodded, not that she could see but ah well. Seeing the glow he recognized as Gretchen's weapon moving away he assumed she was taking care of the civilian. Infected. But what exactly was infected, curiosity itched at him and a hand slid down to cover up the vile of zombie flesh he had collected. "I heard that the main camp might be in trouble, so lets go there." Cain swung around and moved back towards the entrance of the rink, glancing back with a pause to see if the other two hunters would follow or if he would be going in alone.
He needed to go, curiosity gnawing him to do so.

"That's why you get a flashlight," Hope said, a kind of cautious impishness leaking into her tone. She was rather proud that she had not screamed or fallen over or done something else embarrassing out of fear. Still, he movements were fluttery with adrenaline and fear. "Here." She tossed the girl a flashlight, one of the nice big, beat-your-enemies'-heads-in kind. What's a hunter?" Quote: Hope HP: 15 dice 2d4-6 Description: an overly stressed med student

Horace snorted at Tommy's suggestion. He had a half-inking the other man didn't mean it. In any event, Tommy could get whomever he wished into his bed with a wink and a slow, suggestive smile. He was quite clearly born to flirt. "No bed-scapades, please, Mr. Handsome. Unless you mean I get to knock you off of yours and take advantage of that plush, plush mattress." He raised one eyebrow at Tommy. Horace was pretty sure the mist hunter's bed was one of the standard ones, possibly sagging a bit in the middle, but he played it for dramatic flair, of course. "You'd have to share the cot with Hattie, 'course." He raked Tommy from head to toe with an assessing glance. Then he grinned crookedly. "I bet your butt would stick off the side." The hand around her arm was truly startling, because Mimsy hadn't expected him to stop or come after her. She stumbled backwards with a small noise of alarm, and followed Robert's guidance as he turned her to face him. Her eyes were wide with a lack of understanding, brow knit with confusion. The anger that he exuded in every capacity was more jarring than being physically halted, and she shrunk away when she saw how he was looking at her, not knowing that it was meant for someone else. "You are my husband, Robert. You know me best of all." The fear in her stare slowly drained away, like a fading light as she began to shut down. "This is unsuitable in the presence of children. You know that too." When she turned to Rep, she gave no indication that anything was wrong. He knew. She knew that he knew. "I have just administered it," she replied, tone empty and matter-of-fact. "She should be evacuated alongside them." Her eyes made a frigid pass over the girl--over Alice--and softened as she seemed to reconsider. With a short sigh of resignation, she leaned in close to her, and lowered her voice until it was little more than a whisper. "No matter how impossible this day may seem, do not ever believe that what you know of it is wrong. It is not wrong, or impossible." Maybe she was too young to remember. Maybe she wouldn't even understand what she was saying. But it wasn't impossible, and that was the point. "Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast. You should try to as well." As she straightened up, she adjusted her position to fit more comfortably within Robert's grip, and nodded towards Rep. "Let Alice go home, Robert." She sounded tired, her words becoming increasingly hoarse. "Let her go home, where she safely belongs, and we can talk. We will have all of the rest of our lives to talk."

Lex hadn't been paying much attention to the other two men, instead trying to scrub out what stains on his coat that he could. The sprinklers were a blessing in disguise, he guessed, since the grime and accumulated juices were washing off quite quickly.
He was still concerned about the thing underneath the mall, however. Rep seemed concerned about it when they'd talked, and that wasn't too good a sign. The man was fearless, from what Lex knew of him.
There was also the issue of the main camp; it needed fortifying and probably a good rotation of guards. Lex wasn't one for active field duty, his close combat skills still a little weak. He'd be better up on a wall, away from the main fighting.
"I'm going to head back to the main camp as soon as we've finished here, if you two want to come along." Lex announced to Tommy and Horace, pressing a rune to his right forearm.

And then, from the darkness, mildly grimey in clothing but bright-eyed and just slightly jittery, came Nora. Apparently talking about sharing beds was the way to summon her or something.
"'Lo, boys," she greeted them casually as could be, hammer in hand. She didn't seem fully aware of that fact as she eyed the gory mess on the ice with a mildly distasteful look and then checked her boots. Hrm. "Room for a third here? I took a wrong turn somewhere in this hot mess and--" She gestured vaguely to her person as if that was answer enough.

One could only do so much in the ensuing chaos and stream of announcements; luckily, Barry was a nice, clear target, and the job to deal with him equally as simple.
"'Sup, shitstain," Jack said in passing as he navigated the twisted limbs and struck deep into what he thought was a joint. Belatedly, he remembered zombies didn't particularly get phased by that sort of tactic. Ah well. "Been a while--since the French sewers I think?"

Unsuitable in the presence of - Alice's body twisted to look at Mimsy and he looked startled, as if he'd suddenly become aware of her only then. His rage melted away in place of horror, and he lowered her to the ground, letting her go. She had nowhere to run, but Mimsy's last words had stuck to her like glue, and she moved to wrap her arms around the woman's leg as one last lifeline. She didn't understand what was going on and she didn't know who she could trust, or where she was supposed to go. All she knew was the funny man had been angry, and he was scary looking when he was angry. These were the values her little mind worked in. These were the absolutes they could comprehend. "That's what - " He stared at Mimsy, his breath coming in short, painful gasps. "That's what I was doing. I thought. I thought that was what we were." But Robert worked in absolutes as well, and his mind couldn't comprehend the situation he was in anymore. He felt the walls closing in around him. He backed away, his hands falling limp against Mimsy before they fell to his side. Alice was wrapped around Mimsy's leg, and now she looked to Mimsy for answers. Not him. She was scared of him. Scared because he'd become the monster, instead. Is that all he was in the end? We can talk, Mimsy told him. That was the kind of line that came before a break up. He would know. His hand reached up, itching fiercely at his arm until the skin felt raw. He itched at his arm, and his neck, and God, something was wrong, wasn't it. They didn't have the rest of their lives to talk. That was the problem with Deus. They didn't have the rest of their lives. Period. He wanted to run. He stayed frozen exactly where he was. These were the absolutes he worked in. Mimsy had to tell him how to act around a child. He'd failed every single person involved. These were the absolutes. Rep didn't deserve his hate. Harrison didn't deserve his hate. That was an honor reserved for only one person, now. Himself.

Rep gave Mimsy a nod of understanding but did not reach out to take the little girl's hand as he had the others, instead he stepped back from her and nodded to Harrison. "I can't touch her right now. I don't want to reinfect her. I'll go get the others." He wanted to touch Harrison, to rest a hand on his shoulder, ******** anything. But he knew better.
He ignored Robert, primarily because he didn't want to start anything further between them all when things were already so ******** messed up and tense. Instead he just repeated for Mimsy. "She will get out."
It was more than he could say for certain for every other ******** hunter in this place.
He turned away to go gather the other civilians who were mingling with the injured hunters over by the cots. It was bad, it was inefficient, he was losing control of the situation but there was ******** nothing else he could do right now, he had to keep a lid on panic most of all.

Harrison wasn't immune, and he had on clean gloves with clean hands.
He took one of Alice's hands.
"Alright kid. Come on this way. You're probably hungry, huh? You like crackers?"
He waited on Rep. It was a shame was four, because she wasn't going to remember any of this. Even if he told her that in a lot of years, some guys in white coats were going to come knocking on her door, and that she should turn them down and say no and have kids and just live her life normal, she wouldn't remember it.
Even if she could remember, she probably wouldn't listen to him.
But he knelt down, and while Rep was getting the other civs, he told her anyway.
