The harpies didn't take kindly to being pushed around and less so having some of their own being dissipated, and so they retaliated, talons attempting to swipe at him, the force of them pushing him back.

But he wouldn't give up. With a growl, he attacked back, catching the harpies off guard, and he panted as the last of them faded. With that he was finally at peace. With this he was at rest. He found what he came for, and could finally move on.

Rhryse found herself looking at the cliff again. She was bound and determined to see what those harpies were hiding. So, up the mountain she went.
The path was much like before. Not exactly safe, but with some careful navigation and a little bit of patience, she would find her way to the top sooner or later. Which she did. Again.

The bridge. She stared at it for quite some time. Small and ready to give out at any moment, she didn't know how much longer she could trust it. Too bad it was the only way forward. Making her footsteps as light as possible, she attempted to venture across.
Once again she scurried across that bridge, hoping it would hold. Once again her luck held out.
The real challenge lay ahead.

They came at her much like before. Screeching and clawing. Rhryse did what she could. She aimed, she fired, she covered her head and ducked.
These were vicious beasts.

Unfortunately, even though it felt like there were less of them, they still packed a wallop. She didn't even manage to fire a shot while they bombarded her with claws.

They were tough old birds, and she was barely managing to hold her won against them.
