Maximos ((I did compliment her! Through an IM not a post.)) That sort of being is the reason I have a job... Maximos said with a sigh his eyes scanning downwards. Rae may have been confused but she was stable. Her mind was slowly re-attaching and forming into...something. Good or bad she was his friend, and he was happy she was alright. He watched silently as one by one the epiphanies dawned on her. Identities, perhaps places, and times, the very thing the spell was meant to accomplish. Accomplished as such, and without Verandi's involvement the imaginary world they had come to meet in would begin to slowly fade. There was a completely other world in which they could talk and chat and eat and such. Maximos eyes were the first to open, Tomorrow would be released next, and Rae, last, as the last of the violet glow poured into and faded from her square. All the memories and emotions she had access to before and more would be there, only now she would be awake. And Maximos stomach would growl ever so faintly as he placed his hand on his stomach and said. How about lunch? "Yes...lunch would be marvelous...but, if it's too much to ask, can we have it outside?" Donner asked gingerly. This underground palace, with it's labs and secret boxes, were beginning to take it's toll on the giant Aesir. He needed fresh air. He needed to get out. And, although he was trying to keep it hidden, he was starting to look agitated.

Indeed. I'll have Walter set us up a picnic.
Of course that was all it took and Walter had already begun preparations. There was just no explanation for how the man was so good, so quick or so quiet at what he does. Well...there was....but it wasnt common knowledge.
Rae is that alright?
----
Maximos stood impressed, a smile from ear to ear as he watched Teira glide down the empty hall. She was right, it would be more impressive outside. And before he had the time to even think of acting or moving, she was already tugging his hand. D had taken to pushing him from behind to rush him forward. But the moment she seemed lost D immediately jumped into place. He grabbed Maximos opposite hand and took off down the hall, making sure to grasp Teira's hand as he breezed by Maximos.
Dis way!
The halls, doors, passageways and the like would whiz by in a blur, and before the trio knew it sunlight would be pouring into their eyes as they breached the door at the top of the windmill. D immediately screeched to a halt, nearly falling over. Spinning on his heel he would turn to face Teira waiting for her lovely demonstration to begin.

There was just no explanation for how the man was so good, so quick or so quiet at what he does. Well...there was....but it wasnt common knowledge. Rae is that alright? Rae sat up and stretched, before she tried helping Grace stand up as well. " Sure, outside is fine by me.. so long as we are not hovering again!" xp She was still Rae, still putting things together, and there was still an emotionless quality to the memories that she had uncovered, that told her that whatever Verandi had done was not completely undone yet...

Grace definitely looked like she wanted to be sick. Her cheeks were flushed and she didn't want to look anyone in the eyes as Rae helped her back to her feet. Her head was pounding and she was surprised that no one could actually see the tattered remains of her shields.
She was not entirely clear about what had happened, except that she had been used and that she was going to rearrange all the furniture in Verandi's apartment the next time she was there... let the blind b***h trip over her own things and feel like a fool for a few days stare

Maximos ---- Maximos stood impressed, a smile from ear to ear as he watched Teira glide down the empty hall. Dis way!The halls, doors, passageways and the like would whiz by in a blur, and before the trio knew it sunlight would be pouring into their eyes as they breached the door at the top of the windmill. D immediately screeched to a halt, nearly falling over. Spinning on his heel he would turn to face Teira waiting for her lovely demonstration to begin. She winced only a moment as they stepped outside and into the sunlight. It hurt, but nothing like the first time she had left the house upon her mysterious arrival here.
Letting go of their hands, she never slowed. In fact she sped up, her wings furled tightly against her back. They opened with an audible SNAP! Catching the air and hefting her into the air. Flapping her wings she caught an updraft that she somehow, instinctively knew was there... and jetted upwards.
Laughing with delight, for this was still a fairly new experience for her, she slipped back into a backwards double loop'dee'loop proceeded by a figure eight. Pulling out she spiraled downwards before closing her wings and freefalling, opening them with a snap and back winging to land gracefully in front of her audience with a beaming grin.
"I fwy!~"

Maximos smiled in almost big brotherly manner as he watched her scurry off, his smile growing into a open mouth lipping the word "Wow", while he clapped in congratulations for her. Her instincts were strong, she made flight look absolutely easy and even he still had troubles balancing himself in the weightlessness. Though he could honestly attest his difficultly to the fact that Arian's simply werent made to fly.
Loops and twirls were harmless tricks, though most impressive. There was just something in her momentary dive bomb that made his smile fade. He wondered if D hadnt rubbed off a bit too much on her. While her form was made of shadow, her black wings and pale skin descending down upon him wore at the armor around his heart threatening to strike at some primal terror. The fear was immediately reasoned into nothing and squashed but it presence still played at his mind.
She looked beautiful, innocent, and yet deadly. For a moment, he remembered the cold, dead, dark place he had found her and wondered if some of its nature had no followed her out. Would the very passion of her hatred burn with black flames, would those wings carry her down on an unsuspecting village razing it to ash even as those flames laced around her body like a long lost friend.
There was something dark in her...something powerful. Something true. For a moment, for a split second, before the audible snap of her wings catching her brought him out of his daze, he saw it....And he smiled.
You fly very good too! Did D show you that?

"Hee heee!~"
without a complete vocabulary, it was difficult forming words to relay what happened.
"D--"
She made a pushing motion and then flapped her wings grinning. It was like a game of charades!
Was there substance to Maxi's fears? So far he hadn't seemed to recognize her... after all they had only met once. Weeks ago at the world's most acclaimed fighting tournament. Her team had met his at Heaven or Hell where she had squared of against his teammate Tzen. But Maximos didn't remember, and Teira had no clue as to who or what she was. Was it true? Was there some innate darkness lurking behind this mask of innocence? Even with her persona isolated from Ra'kar... was some part of the darkness she had fought so hard against her own? Or was it the very nature of fire itself-- To burn, consume, destroy?
Thoughts that might have plagued Sierra's mind... and began to prey on Maximos perhaps... but as Teira, the Mystery Girl... with no past and no knowledge of what dangerous potential she had, she was just oblivious.

Maybe it was the mystery, the curiosity. Maybe he wasnt sure how much power she had or how much he had given her. If it wasnt for the fact he chose Tzen' fight to go shopping in the mall he may have recognized her but sadly...he only came when the fight was at its close and bloodied and bruised he couldnt fit the pieces together.
She had the potential to be another Destroyer of men and worlds, and Maximos hadnt a clue how or where to use this power or whether it would even be safe to loose her on the public.
Would the public know her? Was she famous? Did she have friends and family missing her? Wanting her? It could really be all so overwhelming. But...as per Maximos, that could all be worried about later and he just sort of brushed it all away without a concern in the world.
He shook his head while raising a loose hand over his mouth as he laughed just a bit. He could see D doing just what she showed and wondered if Walter didnt expect or purposely allow it. His eyes rose to the clouds, to the sunny day before them and he turned back to Teira.
We've still got some light out, what would you like to do?

Opening her mouth to speak, her eyes widened in embarrassed surprise as her stomach rumbled loudly, declaring it's imminent state of hunger. Blinking down at herself, she poked her stomach cautiously, giggling nervously as she smiled at Maximos and D, her cheeks flushed a bright crimson.
"Heeeeee...."

Maximos let out a small laugh, lifting his hand to his stomach.
I agree with your belly, I think dinner sounds perfect.
The sun hadnt set just yet, but he could smell the smooth scent of dinner wafting up the stairway. Once again through winding tunnels, and spiral stairs Maximos would lead them to the dining room. Walter hadnt yet finished dinner, as Maximos had come a bit earlier around 4 and dinner was usually ready at six. But more than a few items had been spread across the table. There was the challenging Krak. Spider soup, served with a living plate sized spider with a hardened bread cage. Thankfully it was only a bit of magic zest that made the vegetable spider appear alive, thus why it never escape the "cage". There was Noct Soup, made of....well even Maximos didnt know that, it was a black liquid.
There were several kinds of bread, and a myriad of the smaller appetizers which would later serve as sides. Though things such as mini-burgers, mozzarella sticks, and chili could also serve as a meal.
Maximos would of course make his way to Teira's seat and pull out for here, even if she didnt yet understand chivalry Maximos would employ it.

Teira followed Maxi and D to the dining room like a contented puppy dog. Her keen elven senses picking up all sorts of aroma's from the kitchen as they made their way downstairs. Upon arriving at the dining room, she skipped around the table to what she deemed as 'her spot' and blushed softly as Maximos pulled out the chair for her, although she didn't know why.
Sitting she looked over what had been laid out on the table and stopped in open mouth horror as she laid eyes on the dreaded Krak!! IT WAS BACK!!
"Aiiyee!!"
She squeaked as she grabbed her fork and lunged at the root-like insect. Impaling it viciously, her lip curled into a sneer as she growled at it warily.
"BAD KRAK!!"

It really was adorable. In fact feeling a bit mischevious he responded quite differently than before, grabbing his fork and moving up beside her admonishing her a bit.
Like this.
He would say gesturing how to properly shank in-animate food. Hand on the grip, thumb just below the fork. Like a dagger.
There ya go!
In a few moments she would probably reduce the thing into bite sized bits and those were far easier to eat.
--
Maximos would lead the group outside, through a maze-like series of halls and doors before they returned to the spiral staircase, and once again breached the Windmill.
About 100ft ahead of them, in a small clearing surrounded by trees and freshly cut grass, was a large black and white checkered table cloth set out across a wooden collapsible table. It was of course large and overstuffed with food in the same manner the table full of bakeries was before. Everything was fresh, guests never go left over. And plates and forks were set out on a separate table that Walter stood in front of ready to serve.
The man worked fast...how, well that was a mystery, as much as a mystery as Walter himself.

She was a quick study, and properly wielding her fork in good form, she reduced the krak to tens of tiny morsels. Grinning triumphantly she quickly ate one up to cement her victory.
"Fweeeee!"
The veggi spider in it's bread cage now caught Teira's eye and she pounced on it in amazement, reaching a finger through the cage to poke it experimentally, laughing in delight.
"Uwee! What is it?"
She asked looking to Maximos curiously. Every time she came across a table, she seemed to discover something wonderous!

She was good, very good, too good to be accidental. Anyone can cut with a blade, but it takes skill to cut gracefully and purposefully through something such as a Krak. Teira...at least at some point, knew how to fight with a blade, by the way she took to the particular motions Maximos suggested, he would say a sword.
Looking at her so innocently now, he couldnt say he was eager to educate her in how to kill again. If he could he would hold that day away for as long as possible.
But before he could be completely lost in though, she jumped the table and was finger assaulting the poor caged.
Vider.
He chipped in. Eight pea eyes locked on her finger, it chirped and jumped to the opposite side of the cage where it immediately ducked down low ready to pounce. Instinct, there wasnt much that carrot bit fangs could do. It did however spit at her finger attempting to stun it. Though in vein as salad dressing has no real stunning effects.
On some of the more magical worlds, its quite a delicacy. As well as the symbol of the chef's power.
He smirked, wondering if any of that would get through.
You have to catch it, then you can eat it.

"Chefu?"
She blinked curiously, grasping at the word, oblivious to Maximos' fretting about her innate Krak carving skills.
"Chef... make... food... yes?"
She tilted her head to the side as she looked to him for approval.
"Walter... make food... Walter chef?"
She smiled and looked back to the vegi vider.
"Viiiiiider, hee hee" <3
She scooped up the bread cage and sat it down on her plate to take a closer look. As it tried to 'stun' her finger she tsked at it and waved an admonishing finger at it.
"Tsk! Baaaad Viiider! Bad!"
Then Maximos said the most unthinkable thing and she looked at him horrified, her lip wobbling as she clutched the vider cage protectively
"EAT THE VIDER?!!! NUUUUUUUUUU!!!!"
