Dante started to drive without replying back at first. Get a new life, Dante thought. This can't be what it's coming down to. he told himself as he stopped at the red light in front of him. Dante watched the people cross the street in front of him. He wondered how many of them had to start new lives. "If only it was that easy Aria." he said as he went through the now green light. He turned onto the street before the bridge to Easter Heights. "She's okay. She's been working a lot, but somehow found time to help me move. I think she went a little crazy because she went more overboard than usual with helping me." Dante looked into his mirror at Daren who was sitting in the back quite. He wasn't expecting Daren to tag along, but if that's the price he had to pay to hang out with Aria, then he'd put up with him. Dante hoped that he would stay out of the way tonight and not get in his business. Dante needed to talk to the guys about what had happened lately and how they were going to fix it. And the last thing that Dante needed was Daren to get nosy and get involved with something that he shouldn't have.

Dante picked up speed as he got onto the bridge. He was late and knew that the guys would be showing up soon. "So did you think about my proposition Aria?" he asked as he switched lanes.

((It's alright.(: ))

Daren grinned when she blushed, and laughed when she called Dante a dork. He shrugged, brushing it off. "It's fine, really Aria. Don't worry about it." Daren tried not to glare at Dante when he pulled out and walked up, patting him on the back. He gritted his teeth when Dante said he was surprised that Daren didn't look worse than he did. He ignored this though, and forced himself to smile. "Yeah, me too. Heard you went to the hospital too." He felt uncomfortable for a minute when Dante examined his face. He stood up with Aria and said nothing else to Dante, deciding to stay quiet. He saw her apologetic face, and he smiled back at her in a reassuring way, trying to tell her it was okay. He held back another laugh when she told Dante that she thought he would look worse also. He walked alongside Aria, watching them both as they talked. Daren rolled his eyes when Daren opened the door for Aria, and he got in the back, glancing out the window as he fumed. He watched neighborhoods fly by as he stayed quiet.

Victoria felt disappointed when he said it was just the beauty in the room. She took a deep breath and brushed it off, smiling at him before he left the room. After a moment, she followed quickly after him, wanting to see him go out the door. She watched him go out, but was confused when he came back in. She flinched when he set a large knife on the table, and said to use it only when she had to. She nodded, but knew she wouldn't, and once more watched him leave. When she was sure he was gone, she sat down on the couch and watched the large television, feeling all too lonely once again. She instantly missed his presence, and she hoped he hurried. She leaned back and thought about where their relationship was going. Did he like her? Did she like him? She wasn't sure, but she knew she felt something towards him. She sighed, again hoping he picked up Aria soon enough.

Aria let her arm hang out the window; she was enjoying the ride, mostly the scenery. "Not since I've been on restriction. But hey, if you can charm my parents into letting me stay with you, I'd be all for it. I don't think I can stay in that house anymore." Part of the reason was her parents; she'd tell Dante about that part. The other reason was that Veto had started having people watch her house. Like she was some sort of possesion. She thought he was probably trying to weed out Dante, but she wasn't going to mention that to anyone, especially not Dante.

Dante slowed down at the end of the bridge. He saw a few police officers behind a car, and Dante couldn't risk drawing attention to himself, since he still had the gun in his trunk. He looked over at the police officers and they stared him down in return. Dante turned the corner onto the main road and picked up speed again. "I'll try. But you gotta tell me why you can't stay there any longer." Dante turned onto his street and saw cars in the driveway. He noticed that everyone was still sitting inside of them, so he figured that they had just arrived. "We'll talk about this later." Dante said as he stopped in front of his house. He turned off the car and opened up his door before turning towards Aria. "I have to talk to a few of the guys. Victoria is inside. Can you try to keep her company for a bit."

Dante stepped out the car and walked towards the house. Xavier, Kevin, and Diesel stepped out of their cars and began to greet Dante. "Hey how's it going guys?" Dante asked as he gave each one of them a hug.
"Not too bad. So what are we discussing?" Kevin asked.
"What we're going to do about Vito and his antics from the other night. Shall we go inside?" Dante began walking towards the door and took out his key. He unlocked it and stepped inside. "Victoria I'm back. I brought the guys and Aria." Dante yelled as he went into the living room. Dante motioned towards the couches. "Have a seat guys." Dante sat down on the one in front of the window.

Aria shrugged. "Not much to tell; just parents." She hated lying, especially since Dante was her brother from another mother, but she didn't want thinsg to escalate. When they got out of the car, she grabbed Daren's hand and then waved to Xavier. She didn't really know the other two, but she waved anyway.

She then walked inside; the place was huge! Much bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. She walked over to Victoria with Daren and smiled. "Heya, long time no see."

"So Dante how did you get out of going to jail that night?" Kevin asked as he propped his feet up on the table.
"To be honest I don't even know. Maybe the Dante charm was the trick." Dante laughed at himself. He knew he had no charm. If he had anything it was the total opposite of charm.
"The Dante charm? You gotta be kidding me!" Xavier laughed as he punched Dante in the arm.
"We'll never know for sure. But we do know is that this Veto thing has escalated to a new level. A level that we should not only fear, but also watch out for." Dante looked all of them in the eyes. "Tell me. How do you guys feel about having a gun placed in your face? Watching your life flash before your eyes?" Dante placed his hands on the end table in front of him and leaned in towards Diesel. "And you. I thought you had my back? You didn't tell me there was a ******** army in front of my house!" Dante slapped Diesel across the face.
Diesel immediately put his hand onto the now red spot. "How was I supposed to know! I don't have night vision!"
Dante snarled at him. "You were supposed to scope out the situation before I went out there!"
"Well I had a gun against my back. How do you think I feel?" Diesel snapped back.
"I had three of them in my face. And are you talking back to me?" Dante backhanded him in the face again.
"Dante calm down. It was an honest mistake. Anyone could've done it. It won't happen again I promise you." Kevin said as he pulled Dante back down onto the couch.
"The only reason I'm letting you get away with this Kev is because you put up with my moms s**t for me." Dante said as he sat back down.
Xavier sat silently and took everything in. He smiled and shot Dante a smart comment. "Are you, the fearsome and powerful Dante, saying that you're scared of Veto? Is our leader becoming paranoid right now?"
Dante's faced fumed with anger. "Oh look at this! The little b***h is speaking now." Dante quickly stood up and snatched Xavier by the throat and began chocking him. "You have the nerve to speak. If I remember right, you were one of the people sitting in the house, and wasn't doing anything." Dante began to squeeze harder as Xavier gasped. "And no I'm not scared. I'm pissed off that piece of s**t Veto was able to get away with so much that night!" Xavier began to squirm in Dante's grip and started to grab at his hand.
"Let him go Dante! We need him." Kev jumped up and stopped Dante.
Dante threw him onto the couch. "I want all of you to take action. Recruit more people. Even other gangs that we know and don't have problems with. Teach the newer people the ropes. And watch your backs." Dante walked over and stood in front of Diesel. "Look out for your fellow friends. We're not letting this rat get away with anything else."

Dante walked over to the front door and stopped. "What the hell are you doing? I told you what to do, so go do it! Do what ever you think is necessary for us and our friends to survive. And do what ever is necessary to make Veto weaker!" Dante opened up the door and the three of them quickly exited. They got into their respective cars and took off.

Dante walked into the kitchen and looked out the back door. "What the hell am I going to do?" Dante quietly asked himself as he turned around. He went over to the couch and fixed the pillows. He sat down in the middle cushion and sunk into the comfort of it. He put his feet onto the coffee table in front of him and turned on the television. He put on the show Cops and stared at the large screen. He wasn't watching the show, but instead was staring through it at the wall, as he hoped he would somehow come up with the solution to everything.

Victoria's panic rose when she heard nothing of Dante. She could hear cars coming up to the house, though, and waited. She continued sitting on the couch, not daring to get up. She was glad when Dante came through the door with a couple of his friends she had seen before. She perked up when she heard the mention of Aria, also, and waited for her to come in. When she did, her eyes widened as she noticed the boy she had bumped into on the sidewalk. She glanced down and noticed that the two were holding hands, and she frowned. But she quickly recovered and nodded her head, gesturing for them to sit. "Yes, it has been a long time. It's nice to see you though, Aria. And you too.." She scrambled to come up with his name, but found her brain empty. She was relieved when he told her what it was; Daren. "It is nice to properly meet you." She smiled at him warmly, and turned again to Aria. "So, how did you two meet?" She asked nervously, losing interest when she heard Dante's voice coming from the kitchen. It seemed more than angry, and she wanted to go in and ask what was going on. But she stayed put, trying to focus on the two in front of her.

Daren still sat fuming, growing even more angry when he heard Dante speak of letting Aria stay with him. He wanted to object, but knew it wouldn't help his and Dante's relationship head towards friendship. It wasn't like he wanted it to, anyway. Taking a deep breath, he was glad when they came up to a large house, where other cars were already there, and boys were waiting for Dante. He instantly felt better when Dante left them and Aria took his hand. It felt warm, and he grinned at her. They went inside, and went up to the same girl that he had bumped into on the sidewalk. He recognized her, but couldn't remember her name either. He felt it was rude to ask, so he would just wait until Aria said it. He kept himself from rolling his eyes when he had to tell the girl who he was. She seemed to not be paying attention at all, but was focused in on the kitchen, where he thought Dante was. Oh, so Dante has a thing going on with her, he thought with a chuckle. The big bad guy was with the shy girl, which didn't make any sense to him. But he let it go, and pulled out of his thoughts just in time to hear her question. "Um.." He frowned, shrugging. "I really can't remember. How did we find each other, Aria?" He asked her with an apologetic face.

Dante went into the room that Aria and Victoria was in. When he stepped in the room, he saw that Victoria was staring in the direction that he was, and he smiled at the thought that passed through his mind. Maybe she does like me Dante processed in his mind. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it either. Granted he liked her, but because of the recent activities in his life, he didn't really think anything of it. He looked at the three of them standing there talking, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything", he told them as he walked up to the side of Victoria. He noticed that Daren and Aria had been holding hands and he slightly laughed. Oh the fool. He doesn't know what he's getting into Dante thought with a small feeling of sympathy. He mentally punched himself because of the new feeling towards the guy. He looked at all of them once again and quickly became bored. Dante wasn't much for sitting around, unless he was drinking, and since that wasn't an option, he wanted to find something else to do. "So what's the plan?" Dante asked them as he crossed his arms on his chest.

Victoria was relieved when he stepped out of a room, and came towards them. She saw him smile, and grinned back warmly. She felt instantly better when he had stepped in the room, but she didn't have a clue why. When he asked if he was interrupting anything, she quickly shook her head. "No, we were just talking about how Aria met Daren." She gestured to the two, who were still sitting close together. She didn't look away from Dante for a moment, until he asked them a question that took her by surprise. "I-I didn't know they're was a plan." She muttered, and glanced at the three of them. She frowned, going into thought again. What plan would he be talking about? She hoped it wasn't anything to get any of them in trouble.

Daren sighed when he saw Dante coming towards them. He really didn't want to see the guy, let alone speak to him. He rolled his eyes when Dante tried to be polite. He wanted to scream, yes, actually! You're interrupting my life! But he forced himself to stay silent, glaring at Dante instead. He raised an eyebrow threateningly when he noticed Dante looking at the two of them and laughing. I wonder what he thinks is funny, he wondered furiously. Daren also wanted to ask what plan the guy was talking about, because he hadn't planned to do anything in the first place. I'm sure Aria knows what he is talking about. They seem chummy enough, he said in his mind grimly.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:06 pm

Dante looked at Victoria and smiled again. He thought that she would understand what he meant, but apparently she didn't, so he would explain himself. "There isn't one. I was basically asking what everyone wanted to do." He said as he stepped closer to Victoria. He looked over at Aria and Daren and felt the hatred pelting against him from Daren. Dante stayed calm even though he wanted to put Daren into his rightful place. "I'd watch yourself Daren. Wouldn't want to see you in the hospital again, or possibly somewhere worse." Dante said without any emotion as he shot Daren a glare. He went over to the table by the door and picked up his knife, hoping that it would somewhat intimidate Daren, and so that he wouldn't forget it. He walked back over to the three of them and placed his hand into Victoria's. He kept his eyes fixed on Daren, hatred beaming out of them, but kept his cool so that nothing would escalate. I let him slide once, and I'll be damned if I let him slide again. Dante thought to himself as he balled up his free hand. Dante looked over at Aria for a quick moment, raised his eyebrows a little, and tried to tell her through his eyes to control Daren. Dante then looked back at Daren, and said to all of them, "Maybe we should have a seat? No use standing if we're not going anywhere right away." he looked to his left at Victoria, changing the look in his eyes from hatred to loving, and gestured to the couch with a slight diagonal motion of his head.

Aria smiled widely. "Actually, he was clumsy enough to bump into me." She laughed a little and then hugged Daren's shoulders. "We've been hanging out ever since." She let go when she heard Dante walk in and say something about a plan. "Dude, I have no idea. You invited me over here so I thought you had everything figured out Mr. Bigshot." She punched Dante in the arm and then turned to Victoria. "What do you like to do V? I hope you don't mind me calling you that. But we could do something you want; I still don't know what hobbies you have."
PostPosted: Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:59 am

Dante laughed a little after Aria punched him. "You really want me to come up with the plan? It might not be in everyone's best interest, but I mean, I will if I have to." Dante listened to Aria as she asked Victoria about her hobbies. Do I even know? Dante asked himself silently. Dante sat on the couch silently and took in the conversation. If he were to choose something, then he'd make sure it didn't include Daren. Dante hated to hang around someone who didn't like him. Granted most of the time he was the one causing the problems with said person, he still didn't want to be around him, especially since he didn't really know Daren. Dante didn't want to take the chance with the guy. He seemed like the type of person who never got into trouble nor did anything wrong in his life. And he also found that those type of people were the ones who would rat on someone in a heart beat. He thought about telling Aria all of this and how he truly felt about Daren, but he knew that he would get no where and would most likely make things worse for himself. Plus if he was keeping Aria away from Veto and that crowd then he didn't have a problem with it.

Dante soon began to think about the Veto situation. He hadn't heard any news about him or his gang lately and began to grow suspicious as to why. Possible reasons began to race through his head, Is he plotting something? Are they just watching us? Are they waiting for us to start something? Did Aria have something to do with this?, but he tried to throw them out. All of them could be true and he didn't want to think that Aria had anything to do with it. The air in the room started to become heavy and Dante started to get uncomfortable. He stood up and stepped out of the house and mumbled something along of the lines of I need some air.

((Music, you are wicked pretty. Just wanted to mention that.(: ))

Victoria felt her face flame when Dante mentioned that there wasn't a plan, that he just wanted to know what they wanted to do. She felt like an idiot and apologized instantly. She frowned at Dante when he began speaking to Daren and threatening him verbally. "Dante, it's alright.." She said quietly, grabbing his hand when she saw it ball into a fist. She tried to relax it but sat down when Dante said that there was no use standing, and met his eyes when she noticed the change in his expression. She smiled up at him for a moment before turning away, her ears turning pink. She smiled when Dante took her hand, and she felt better somehow, like it belonged there. When Aria told her how Daren met her, she perked up and laughed softly. "That's how I met Daren also. We met on the sidewalk after he crashed into me.." She drifted off, flinching when she remembered the look on Dante's face. Victoria grinned when Aria called her V. "I don't mind. I do like to go bowling, but I haven't been since I was small.." She thought, remembering the last time her father took her. It was the best day of her life. She came back to the present fast and shrugged. "'But it costs more than it should, and I wouldn't be able to pay." She sighed, frustrated. "Just forget it," She whispered, not wanting to ruin the mood. "I don't really have any hobbies," She said to Aria. Victoria glanced up when Dante mentioned needing some air. "Dante, I.." But she had no idea what she should say and figured he needed to be alone, so she watched him step out of the house and outside. She bit her lip, thinking it was something she did as always. She felt tears brim her eyes but kept them away. Quit being so emotional, she told herself angrily. He just needs some time by himself, that's all.

Daren relaxed his uncomfortable pose when Aria hugged his shoulders. He felt his face turn a light shade of pink when she mentioned him bumping into her. He grinned when she said the rest, but sighed when she let go because Dante came back in. Also ruining my love life, he thought furiously. Daren wanted to jump up from the chair he was sitting in and claw at the guy's face when he threatened him, saying that he wouldn't want to see him in the hospital or someplace worse. Same with you, buddy, he thought, wanting to kill him. Daren returned his stare of anger back at Dante, not backing down. It was just like a small chihuahua standing near a bulldog; the chihuahua knew it was going to get banged up, but wasn't going to look stupid while doing it. His expression changed to one of shock and nervousness for a moment as Dante picked up a knife, but he tried to remain emotionless so he wouldn't show him that he was frightened by it. "What, are you going to stab me? Kill me? Go ahead." He sneered at him, before rolling his eyes when Dante raised his eyebrows at Aria. He could see one of his hands ball into a fist, and the other one in Victoria's. What are they, together now? Daren thought with a smirk, glancing up at Dante. He was relieved when he left the room, but he could see Victoria was upset by it. He said nothing, not wanting it to get worse.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 07, 2012 6:30 pm

As Dante sat on the brick path that led up to his house, he looked down at his scarred hands, and began to reminisce in each and every fight that caused the scars. Movies of his life flashed before his eyes, each one carrying a little piece of Dante history, but non of which were pleasant memories. He rubbed the deepest scar on the outside of his hand, the one he received when he was caught by a knife, and thought about everything.

Why do I continue to fight this battle when all it leads to is death and anguish? Day after day, night after night, as if it's some sort of habitual routine I become anger over this war between thugs and us. We're no better but we think we are. I've lost my life to this violence and for what cost? To say I'm revenging the death of my friend. But what about all those other guys who's lives perished because of my revenge. When will they see their selves glorified? Man. What am I really doing? Why have I become this monster who is hell bent on causing everyone else pain? Is it because I want other people to suffer because I'm suffering?

Dante stood up and rubbed the back of his head. He went to his trunk and took of his jacket, placing it inside and grabbed his Led Zeppelin shirt, and quickly put that on in fear that someone might see him. He began to walk back up to the house and started to get lost in the sound of the clicking of his boots on the brick. I really need some better shoes Dante thought as he opened the door. He made himself change his entire attitude before speaking to the three of them. He refused to show his worry and disappointment to them. After all he didn't want to look weak and allow that kid Daren to jump on it. He did his best to speak in a content voice, "So did you decide on anything yet Victoria?" he walked over to where Daren was sitting and placed his hand on his stiff shoulder. Dante whispered to Daren, trying not to make a scene, "Relax. Don't worry yourself to much. I was only kidding." He patted Daren on the back lightly and sat down on the couch next to Aria. What's up with the kid? He seems a little on edge. Dante said quietly to her. He looked over at Victoria and smiled. She looked innocent and as if she felt out of place. For some reason this made Dante like her even more and he didn't know why. "We can do what ever you heart desires. All you have to do is name it." he told Victoria as he smiled a little bigger and winked, hoping that she would become a little more at ease.

Victoria almost let out a sigh when she saw Dante come back through the front door, and her eyes lit up as he did, but was disappointed when he sat down next to Aria. She was also joyful that Dante looked a bit better and wasn't as tense with Daren. She could see him speak softly to Aria, but knew it wasn't anything meant to hurt her. So she focused on what he said next and put it in the back of her mind. She shook her head, embarrassed when he asked if she had decided yet. She felt herself relax into the couch once he smiled at her, and she gave him a small smile of her own when he mentioned it was her choice. "I think it would be fun if we all did a group activity that would be cool for all of us. Like, swimming or going to the movies. You know, something we can do together." Her eyes twinkled with hope as she stared at Dante, not tearing her gaze from his for so much as a moment. Victoria couldn't keep her eyes off his grin, and blushed when it got bigger and he winked at her. Did that mean something? She didn't know, but one thing she did know was whenever he winked at her; it sent shivers down her spine. And not in a bad way, either. "So..um. Does that sound good?" She felt like a moron, stumbling over her words like a fool. She finally had to look away from him so she wouldn't do anything more stupid than she already had.

Daren could feel himself become rigid as Dante put a hand on his shoulder. He gritted his teeth when Dante spoke in his ear, claiming that he was only kidding about earlier. He wasn't so sure though, and ignored these words as best as he could. He shook himself off when Dante patted his back, and put his arm around Aria's waist tightly. He watched as the guy sat down on the other end of the couch, right next to Aria. He tried to breathe and tell himself that it was nothing, they were just old friends. He was a jealous twit, and he didn't want Dante laughing at him later for it. He glanced away and towards the other girl, who looked like she had just found the lottery as she stared at Dante. He rolled his eyes but knew that was the way he stared at Aria, so he didn't worry too much about it. He let his arm loosen around Aria and put both of his hands in his lap awkwardly, trying to focus on the conversation. Victoria was speaking about going swimming. He frowned, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. He had clearly not listened enough.
