I played soldier, you played king.
and struck me down when I kissed that ring. "Noctis Lucis. " He'd speak, glad things didn't get too out of hand. At least he arrived when he did and helped as well. Who would have known what could've happened if he didn't come and go to Ariel's aid. "And Yeah, mermaids are definitely new." He'd speak with a small laugh. The man had battled large summonings and entire armies, however a crazed mermaid in search of her possibly dead boyfriend was not on his list of confirmed kills, or even sights.
The girl seemed a bit more bright and cheery now though, which was better. It put a bit of a smile on his face as well. He was mainly just glad they were starting over. "So, Ariel, what exactly is this place?" It was a strange question, however he was from a different world entirely. Everything was strange to him. "I've never seen a place like this. Aside from the fights apparently, this place is really...nice." He spoke, as if relieved to be able to say that. He'd been to some pretty messed up places recently, so the islands were a breath of fresh air.
He took in the scenery before looking to her. Ariel Fair. He'd remember that name, as it seemed that there was more to her. Just as she was curious about him, he was the same for her. Where was she from and basic questions like that.
Even for common questions, they had a big meaning to a man void of knowledge on a new island, a new world. The vast places and experiences held different levels of amazements and monstrosities. It was all oddly beautiful and intriguing, which is why he hadn't gone back home in awhile.

  "Pleased to meet you, Noctis." She said with a small smile, Though that smile would become a grin as he mentioned mermaids were new to him. "You haven't seen anything yet. The Serenitian race can shape-shift into what most of us would call more mythological creatures. There's the Queen of Serenity who can turn into a Unicorn, her sister, a Phoenix, which is also her name too. Hee..Umm, there's dragons and wolves too. I guess you will probably run into one of them at some point. " She just hoped who ever he did run into, was a good Serenitian. Luckily, most Serentians were good. Just the few that weren't, much like with any race.
"All I know about this place is it's part of the Serenitians land, They call it Island of Serenity, but not very many others know of it besides them. Few humans stumble upon it, which is good..It would be pretty bad if it became popular and,well, you know! All the peace and beauty would likely be destroyed by them. " Looking away a moment, she looked to the house of Azura's, glad it wasn't destroyed thanks to her luring her away earlier, otherwise, it may not have been standing anymore. "That house is Azura's, the crazy mermaid princess. " She grinned playfully. "But, if you need anything, I'm sure she won't mind letting you use it for a while for some shelter. I'll show you where she stores water, when you want something to drink. " That was the most important thing for now, surviving. He would need shelter, water and food if he stayed here a while.
"Oh...! If I start talking to much, you can tell me. I won't mind! " The teen said playfully, laughing a little. "But I guess your more concerned about this whole world right now, It's true a lot of people have been coming up from many different worlds and ending up here in Gaia, They used to appear in a place we all ended up calling the Tear of Worlds, but now it seems so out of control that people and places are just appearing randomly. It's kind of scary when you think about it. I mean, what if were sleeping one night and a giant city appears over us??? " Ah, the great imagination of Ariel.
"How did you get to the island? If you don't mind me asking? Do you have any abilities that you can get off it with like teleporting? If not, you can come with me and my friends on their ship. Wanna-be-pirates, but I think its more like treasure hunting. " They certainly didn't do anything remotely close to pirates, it was just a joke between them as they called their self pirates.

Praefectorum Agent Bainz  "And why the hell're you here...?" "Not for you, Praefect." Bainz stood on the porch of a certain house. It was the house two Lamia were abducted from. This was alarming to the Goddess *********, specifically because they had been abducted by a fellow Lamia... And this incident from a while ago seemed to be a magnet for trouble. It seemed the house hadn't been touched for a long while, save himself... And the one standing before him. "Ya'know, I don't think I ever liked the beach... Too much sand. The ocean's kinda stupid too, if you ask me. Just water." "You never answered me." Bainz spat. "Why are you here? Shouldn't you be eating children?" " That's what you high-an'-mighty daydreamers think we do?" Forte chuckles. "Nah, I dunno about anyone else, but I only like eating dreams about traveling. I don't really recall kids bein' involved in my meals." Silence. "...Okay, fine, fine..." The Fouth Seat sighs, giving in. "I'm just here to check out the scene. Had a couple of our girls kidnapped by a newly-revived officer." "Sounds to me you guys're finally getting your ops in check." Bainz huffs. "Our leader might be generous, but he's still a fool." he smirks. "What say we put our differences aside for today? I'm lookin' for clues too. Our Third Seat has yet to report back to us... Okay, no, she went AWOL, like tons of us..." Bainz glared at Forte. "...You do know I'll kill you the second you step outta line...yeah?" "I don't have a reason to trick you, now, do I...?" If you're my enemy, I'll end you.

Nestled between two large boulders within the water, Azura was resting from days worth of swimming. Upon feeling completely alone, she really had no reason to return to land. What good did the land going people bring her? Friendship, then that friendship vanished one by one as she was constantly forgotten, or her heart broken in some way. Here, she was completely alone, and nothing could hurt her as far as the land walkers went. Unfortunately, her parents were right in the end. She should not have interacted with humans or other serentians, the sea was where she belonged, no where else.This place, this island, was the only land she should ever leave the ocean to. If she couldn't be with anyone from land, her choice was very slim when it came to a partner. The only one she could ever be with in the sea was, Yuriko..His dreams might end up coming true if she was unable to figure things out soon....

They had to make many return trips due to their respective allegiances and their near-war status, but that was the least of their worries, really."Well, after running with this scent and comparing with the auras and essences of many different Lamia, there's no doubt about it..." Forta sighs. "Arda is indeed the person we're looking for." "...You never really explained who these people were." Bainz finally turns to face Forte, after examining a major hole in the wall."Y'never asked, Praefect." Forte smirks. "Allow me... The Lamia in question are three females and one male. The girls are Nau the Envious, Mizuko the Intuition, and Ereia the Berserk. Those three often work as a group, so I read. They like to go by the name 'Nightmare Sisters'." "What ridiculous names.""Then we have our male, the suspect by the name of Arda the Inferno. He goes by the moniker 'Knight of Phoenix', and his deal is that when he's given a job, he's gonna do it by any means." "Did you read that too?""I've seen him in action. He's the second-in-command for a reason." Forte nods. "Alright..." Bainz shakes his head. "That still doesn't explain what links the four of them together.""Unless there was a third party; some mysterious fifth person to bring them all together." There was silence. "Here's what I think. This room is far too trashed for Arda to have done this under normal circumstances." "Because he's the Knight of Burning, and he has this whole chivalry thing going for him.""On top of a massive layer of armor and arrogance, yeah." Bainz nods. "So, he had to have been under the effects of Elucidation. That's when Lamia first wake from their revivals, and they go crazy, right?""So that begs the question; What killed him?" They shared another silence before Bainz speaks up. "So, who get's to take him home?""Whoever beats him, I guess." Forte sighs, beginning to walk out of the room. "Let's get outta here and bag 'im already. I'm gonna get more sand in my boots if we keep this up." I'm not one of the top Lamia for nothing.

Cyria   In the distance, the softest, most gentle voice would seem to echo within the air, traveling through the waves as a young blue-haired girl sang softly to herself. She was sitting half in the water on a large bolder, but what was clearly visible was that of the long fish-like tail sticking out of the water.Mermaids weren't all shocking to see anymore, and especially not in this area which Azura, the mermaid princess, had made her home when on the land. Those who knew her wouldn't have to think much into it, once they knew of the many future children just about everywhere, and the sheer similarities to the mermaid princess and this young girl, it would become clear who she was..
As she continued to sing, two dolphins came up to her, swimming around the little mermaid girl and the rock she sat on.

Dream Vampire Nau -- Casual Nau was home, finally. It smelled as if someone had been in hers and Ereia's tarnished room, but she made sure she had fixed everything up before she left the Nightmare Sisters House. It was finally time for a relaxing dip, maybe so she could get her mind off of...things. She stepped onto the porch in a black and orange swimsuit, white sandals on her feet and diving gear on her back should the neko wish to swim low. What she saw once she got there, however... "...a...adorable..." She blushes, gazing at the mini Azura a ways forward. She giggles. She thought of surprising her... But what if this wasn't Azura? She approaches with this in mind. "...so, mermaid, eh?" I'll just slip on out, and...~

Cyria Giving the Dolphins each a kiss at the tip of their nose, she smiled as they began to swim away back to the sea. It seemed they were only checking up to make sure she was safe. Aww. It wasn't until the bright color of orange caught her attention, even with the small distance away that they were,she had seen it from the corner of her eye just enough to fully turn and glance to the figure on land. Her first impulse was to dive under and hide, but, at the same time she was curious. She only really knew of one person who lived here with her mother, so it was very likely this person was her. Nau, Azura's best friend. Slowly, she shyly waved at her, her tail fin slipping back under the water as if to hide it, it was already a habit she couldn't break, mermaids had to be cautious at all times when surfacing due to the human threats. "...Are you...Nau? " She would ask her when she was closer to hear the girls soft voice.

Cyria The blue-haired princess blinked at her, before her lips curled up into a bright smile. "I'm the second Azura.." She giggled softly. "Cyria. Azura's my mother...But she hasn't met me yet in this time..I just got here myself! " Moving a little as to give her more room as she joined her on the rock, she couldn't help but look at te strange gear at Nau's back. "I know you in the future too, your mother's best friend..." She paused a moment. "If you want to go diving, you don't need that heavy looking stuff on your back. I can help you breath under water. One of my specialties! " And hers didn't involve kissing, thank goodness!
