Ceri sighed. She said, "I think we need to ask Rincewind what he wants to do." She turned to the boy. "What's your opinion?" Her eyes flickered to Alek, but then stayed on Rincewind.

"My problem really isn't all that serious, compared to the thing with the Heavens and all that." Rincewind said. "I'm sure that I can live with having a demon, albeit an annoying one, inside my head. I'd much prefer to stay with the vampires, if that's an option."

"Good boy," Val said, kissing Rincewind. "And I don't believe they intend on communicating with us, especially because of my family... which I mostly blame Angel for. Did she try to go down on one of you?" She motioned between Van and Mala. "Because she does that sometimes. She's actually pretty good at it."

Ceri nodded. "Well, what do the vampires want to do?" she asked. She knew why Rincewind wanted to stay with them-a pretty creature by the name of Val.

Mala laughed nervously about that. "It happened once, but We were able to set things straight - right?" she said to Angel, recalling earlier when she explained that what she was doing was unnacceptable since she persisted and Mala wasn't interested at the time - especially since she was still freaking out at the time since she and Van had just discovered their... Eventful night's happenings. She didn't even bother commenting on the her not wanting Mala to leave her part.

Angel nodded hurriedly, hugging closer to Mala, tears still flowing. A lot.

"Is it really that obvious?" Van said with a nervous smile, hoping he didn't just offend and piss off the trio of vamps.

Ceri sighed. She didn't say anything. She looked at Mala. She crossed over to her. She hugged her friend. "Be safe, my friend," she said.

"Like I said," Val murmured. "I blame Angel."
Angel started crying harder, and she tried to get an accusation out at Val but she was sobbing too much. Instead, she clung to Mala and felt really, really sad.

Ceri knelt down to hug Angel. "Come on, Angel...." she whispered softly. "We'll see them again soon."

"Noooo!" Angel hugged Mala tighter, not tight enough to hurt. She didn't want to let go, because then Mala would go, and that'd be just like her mother leaving all over again.

Rincewind sighed as goodbyes were said. Unfortunately, he had not gotten to know any of the others well enough to have to deal with a lengthy goodbye.

"Shhh, shhhh," said Ceri. She gently petted Angel's head. "Shhh, Shhh." She was being sweet and kind to the girl, for Ceri knew what it was like for someone to leave.

Mala hugged Ceri back for a moment. "I will overall. Despite all of the binds I get myself in, I'm actually the one watching out for these two idiots most of the time." she said in a joking manner, pointing to Van and Riley. She then went on to look over at Angel. "Besides, you'd rather not be around us for long - believe me. Back when we travelled together, we were getting in sticky binds by morning and having it resolved by bedtime. Rather tedious, really. You wouldn't get a moment of peace ever again if you stuck with us." Mala said, trying to convince Angel that it would be best for them to depart for the moment.

"But-but-but..." Angel sobbed loudly. "M-Mala..."
"Oh, by Sol," Alek muttered, suddenly moving to Angel and kneeling next to her. "Angel, sweet, it's not going to be forever. I swear. I can find them again. You know I can."
"B-but she can't-t go!" Angel whined. "Not again." It was so, so soft that nobody could have heard it except, of course, her brother.
Alek sighed, taking a few deep breaths. "Can you take her with you? Just for a while?" He knew exactly what was going on in Angel's head.
