She hiccuped out, looking around before rushing across the street again. He could see her...but she just wanted to go home. Maybe take a shower...or a bath... [ I ] { A } m that shy person that is forced to speak. [ I ] { A } m that quietly loud person that seems to be able to be both at the same time. [ I ] { A } m not ready for this

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn groaned, burying his face in his hands. Now he felt like bursting into tears. Why couldn't he seem to do anything but make Ashriel mad or make her cry? He sighed then loped after her, ignoring the cars around him. He caught up to her easily and wrapped an arm around her shoulders to try and keep her from taking off again. "I'm sorry! Look I'm sorry, alright? I didn't mean to yell."  The tiger that should be....isn't....

"It's alright...not your fault." She said softly. That was her automatic response- the issue was always her fault. No matter what it was. Continuing to walk with his arm around her shoulders, she was relieved to see that she wouldn't have to cross the street again. They were only half a block away from the apartment building. The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I'm sorry I keep making you cry." Raevyn whispered quietly. He was relieved to see the apartment building just ahead. Surely nothing else could go wrong now, could it? He hoped not. Otherwise, he was sure he was just sit down and bawl. The tiger that should be....isn't....

They reached the apartment building quickly, Ashriel hurrying up the stairs past Raevyn, hoping he'd left the door unlocked. After all, she didn't have her key - again. The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn had indeed, locked the door. He walked up the stairs unhurriedly. Seeing Ashriel by the door, he sighed and pulled out his key. Now he was really glad he'd gotten a copy made for himself. He unlocked the door and pushed it open, letting Ashriel in first. Once she was in, he entered and closed the door, locking it behind him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn watched her rush off but made no move to stop her. He didn't go after her either, like he had every other time. He just shook his head, and walked into the bedroom. Sitting on the bed, he rested his elbows on his knees, head in his hands. All he did was try to make things better and all he did was make things worse. Maybe he shouldn't even be here. Maybe he should just leave. He could watch her from afar, keep true to his responsibilities that way. The tiger that should be....isn't....

She got in and just laid there, the water now off. Soon, she was asleep, sitting in the tub, her head resting on the edge. [ I ] { A } m that shy person that is forced to speak. The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn thought it over for awhile. The more he thought, the more he became sure. He was just an annoyance that had forced it's way into Ashriel's life. And now he was making her miserable. Quietly, so he didn't disturb her further, he packed up his things, shoving them in the far back of her closet to hide them. He could get them later, when he had something to carry them with. He quickly scribbled a note and left it on the stand beside her bed. Then he left, opening and closing the front door silently. He was gone, but for a short note on her nightstand.
"I'm sorry for making you cry so much. It won't happen again. It'll be like I was never here.

Upon seeing the note, she was back in tears. No way was she leaving now. She shouldn't talk to anyone. The people she thought cared about her always left her alone. Always. Why should she talk to anyone?

Raevyn spent the night as a cat on the roof of the neighboring building. He could see Ashriel's apartment but the window was on the other side, so he couldn't see her. He curled up and slept, his fur fluffed against the cold breeze. He was glad when morning came. He'd forgotten what it was truly like, living on the streets. He glanced at Ashriel's apartment then hurried to the school. He didn't want to leave the same time she did. Then she would know he was still around. He was one of the first to school and went straight inside, laying his head on his desk and relaxing, not quite asleep. He couldn't sleep, knowing he would turn back into a cat if he did so. The tiger that should be....isn't....

She laid back down in bed, no intentions of leaving it that day. No way was she leaving now. There was no longer a reason to.
The school day started, Jennalin walking into the classroom to see Raevyn - but no Ashriel. Since when would Ash stay home by her own accord? It seemed...odd. For now, she didn't think anything of it, although it was beginning to bother her as second period came. [ I ] { A } m that shy person that is forced to speak. The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn ignored Jennalin as thoroughly as if nothing had ever happened. As if the past week had been nothing but her imagination. He was slightly worried when Ashriel didn't show up but he ignored it. 'It's over and done with. It's not my responsibility if she comes to school or not. I just have to make sure she doesn't reveal Sanctuary and all the were's inside it.' He told himself determinedly. He couldn't help the twinge of guilt though that told him this was his fault. She'd fought tooth and nail to be here when she was sick yet now she was voluntarily staying home? The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin skipped out on her next class, taking out her cellphone to dial Ashriel's number. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. No answer. She walked into the class late, ignoring the teacher. Then she muttered softly, although she knew she wasn't the only one that would hear it. She knew that he would hear it, even if he was ignoring her. "She didn't answer her phone...I wonder what's going on."
Ashriel heard her phone ring, all right, but she didn't move to answer it. In fact, she purposely ignored it. Why should she answered? Whoever it was would eventually leave her alone, anyway.
