[☼яΞ√Ξζịђ☼] ["..."]
[Land of Dragon : Field near Forbidden City] The loud beast made a thunderous roar, signaling its approach. It soared in the sky quickly approaching where the two waited for it. The beast took notice of their presence and paused in the air before it went in for a dive at the pair. Revelin took notice of the creature in the air and watched it as it went in for the swoop. "What a foolish creature, diving towards its own grave..." When the creature got close, he side stepped and released a blast from the lance, to propel him away from the attack and lightly burn the creature's side.

~Window~ [Traverse Town::Third District] The second encounter with the Heartless did not affect Window as much as it did previously. He still remembered some of the attack patterns of the short and small Heartless, so he decided to focus on them first. Two of the small shadows converged on Window's left and right side, causing him to jump up in the air to avoid them. They were awkward opponents since they were so close to the ground, so he knew he had to take advantage of the moments when they jumped toward him. For one, their trajectory would be predictable--you can't change direction in midair--and secondly, Window wouldn't be putting himself in a position from which he might not be able to recover; he wouldn't be kicking downward at the ground. Keeping a short but controllable distance away from the small Heartless, Window narrowed his eyes as he watched their jerky movements, waiting for the next jump he knew would come. However, he had forgotten about the soldier-looking heartless who had been lurking in the outskirts. All too late Window heard the whirr of metal and shadow as one soldier spun towards Window's back, much like a tornado. He jerked his right shoulder back and his body followed, but not soon enough; Window felt the sting as an edge of metal cut into his arm. But he did not curse or falter. Instead, the man merely added one more factor into his mental equation of how to deal with the heartless. One of the small heartless took this opportunity to jump at Window, who quickly ducked down and let the small creature fly over his head. Window spun around just in time to see the heartless begin to land and so he stomped on it, much like how one might kill a bug. It squirmed and wriggled, making Window feel very uncomfortable (much like how one might feel when killing a bug). He could feel it--the life in this creature. And he was about to take it away. The guilt felt heavy. He knew he didn't have the right to control thing's life, but what was he going to do? Desperately the shadow clawed at Window's sturdy shoes, helpless and yet deadly. Giving up, it began to sink down into the stone. Window knew he couldn't let that happen, and so he stomped on it with all his might--again, and again, and again. With each blow, Window only felt increasingly remorseful, and on the final one, the small heartless disappeared in a wisp of smoke and darkness. But he did not have a moment to waste. It had only been a matter of seconds, and the other two heartless were not about to give up so easily. Keeping an eye on the small shadow-like heartless and the soldier one, Window glanced over to see where Nalo was. He seemed to be all right. "Of course I will stay on guard! I apply the same sentiment towards your personage as well!"

[[For future reference, if I ever post as a Heartless or other NPC of some kind, then I intend to control those characters throughout. ^^]] [ Heartless : Third District ] Of the two Shadows that Nalo had assaulted, the one he'd grabbed was destroyed upon being thrown into the other, while the second merely shrunk into the ground, waiting for its next chance to strike. As the Soldiers continued their watch, dancing in the back (though one had managed to attack Window), they seemed to strafe around the battle zone, watching, waiting for the lower Shadows to weaken them. It was after a few moments of brief silence that they struck; three Shadows all jumped up from the ground, immediately taking form as they attacked Nalo; each from a different angle, much like a triangle, so as to trap him in. Window was perhaps a bit more lucky, as he seemed to only be attacked by one Shadow from the front; however, behind him, a Shadow had snuck underneath him and took form, pouncing at the man's vulnerable back.

NαlΘ Attacking the heartless was still very awkward without some sort of weapon, especially since he was so tall. He dropped to the ground and performed a little street trick that he learned a while ago. "GET AWAY!" His legs flung out with force, brushing back the two heartless in front of him and (rather inadvertently) knocked the heartless behind him into the wall.

[ ȤęҟνƴƦ ] {Don't fear the dark... fear what's in it.} [Castle Oblivion : Basement Halls -> Lab #2] "I'm glad we understand each other," Zekvyr said blandly. He led the way into the lab, still blinded by the light of the scanning device, but that hardly deterred him. There were other senses than sight, and he was used to utilizing them just as often. The hallway was a brief one, and soon enough it opened up into a decent sized room, complete with all sorts of science equipment. There were three empty pods along one wall, and a table in the center with straps on it. It appeared the straps were a newly added feature. Otherwise, the room was full of whatever a scientist would need. "I hope this meets your needs," Zekvyr said, tilting his head as if looking at Zigmund. "If you need to move through the castle, dark portals are always at your disposal; it's a far faster way to travel," he paused, not willing to leave just yet. He was curious to see what this scientist could do.

[Moggie & Shade : Traverse Town : Maze]
Moggie, who had remained back during the fray for a casting of a spell, finally let it loose. The moogle unleashed a large fire spell onto the last remaining wyvern. Defeating the last wyvern who had started lingering over the head of Fang.
The massive wolf didn't even flinch as the fireball hit a Heartless over his head. Instead, Fang leaped up teeth out to attack the last remaining Dark Ball. He was able to get a good bite out of it but not enough to defeat the floating heartless.
Shade didn't hessitate to dash in behind the fat heartless and stab it in the back. Leaving it weakened but not defeated. In the corner of her eye she saw the last heartless, it was weakened thanks to Fang. Shade took out three of her throwing knifes. Throwing all three at once in the at the Dark Ball, finishing him off.

Souzourou {Don't we live in a beautiful world? And now a beautiful universe?}
[Traverse Town :: Maze]
A wave of flame leapt out from behind shade, narrowly missing the Wolf and slamming into the large heartless' back, instantly disintegrating it. Souzourou had chased after them, but hung back during the fight to see how competently and with what styles they all battled. "Sorry for the late entrance!" he said quickly, with a smile on his face. "I thought you guys had it all handled, but decided to lend my hand in the last little bit anyways." And with that he gave a shrug, and looked around. "So...what now?"

Kuropo Guroko
{Judge me not by my size; for I am much more then meets the eyes.}
{Traverse Town : Maze}
The Tarutaru couldn't but chuckle to himself as he watched the combatants fight their way through the maze. Finally joining into one big group at the very end. He twirled his staff excitedly as he began to focus once more and six large red orbs were released from the staff.
'Ah they're at the center of the maze finally. Now it's time for the finale!'
As the large orbs of data fell down into the maze they floated in the very center of the maze as they grew to take on the form of the six pieces of the large Heartless known as the Guard Armor. He then called down into the maze for all to hear.
"Defeat this Heartless and gain great power! So I implore you, please do not cower."

[∫ ʋ ʓ ʋ ʁ ᾲ ɳ] {You look like you fell down a tree and hit every possible branch on the way down.}
[Traverse Town :: Maze] Suzu watched as a multitude of people and creatures alike came forth to defeat the final group of heartless. It seemed that nearly everyone had about met up. She looked to Sory with a wry smile that masked her fatigue. "Don't sweat it, I'll just blame it on my lack of ability with directions," Suzu jested as the last heartless was distroyed, before swinging her scythe onto its holster on her back.
The princess swayed a little as she stood atop the remaining water, she was tired and she wanted out of the god-forsaken maze and into her ship so she could snag a potion already but right through her train of thought came the disembodied voice again, announcing their final task. Suzu groaned, why do I get the nagging feeling that I'm being used? Suzu watched in a mix between disbelief and disdain as the giant guard armor formed itself before them. She reached back for her scythe, momentarily wincing, forgetting that a large gash traveled the length of her forearm. "A certain midget is going to be in for one hell of a beating when this is over," Suzu seethed, feeling her mood go sour as soon as she looked at the heartless that was blocking their exit. She didn't care that she was supposed to act refined and dignified, there was a certain fine line in her head about pranks such as these.

[ЌɄɄɱɐƦɄ] [You aren't good enough for her... drop dead buddy] [Traverse Town : Maze] The group of Heartless before them was vanquished just like that with an effort put up by everyone. Before there could be any celebrations though, the mastermind had spoken and released a larger more formidable enemy before them. He listened to his sister speak foul words and chuckled. " Such words don't suit you sister!" he said making fun of his sister. " Here, take a potion and let's get out of this situation." He took out the potion that he saved from earlier and tossed it to his sister. He gave her one last smile before facing the Armor and then prepared himself mentally for the next fight.

[Moggie & Shade : Traverse Town : Kuropo's Maze]
Moggie had joined the gathered group just as the voice of that annoying bugger spoke, which was overlapped with the appearance of a bigger Heartless. The moogle's rage boiled over as she held onto her Fire Staff.
"KUPO! He makes me so mad!" the moogle shouted, "When I am through with him he won't be able to feel his a** for a year! KUPO!"
"When will it end..?" muttered the ninja from the back of the group, shifting her hold on her weapons. As Fang growled and snarled in mirrored annoyance at her side.

~Window~ [Traverse Town::Third District] A sudden searing pain shot through Window's back, making him arch in surprise. He spun around and saw another little Heartless, bobbing and weaving back and forth like the inconsistent shadow that it was. He wished he had a stick, anything to help, but there was none. Pulling what emotion he could together (for he was not a very angry or fiercely passionate person), he gave a small cry as he vaulted over the black mass and immediately pivoted to leap at its back before it turned around, hoping to catch it unawares and pin it down beneath his body.

[ Heartless : Third District ] The spin-top kick was successful in killing the third Shadow and sending the other two flying; indeed, they immediately went into the ground, biding their time until their next attack. However, the kick also left Nalo vulnerable directly afterward- enough so that one of the Soldiers rushed forward with a roundhouse kick of its own, attempting a slash at Nalo's chest before immediately retreating behind the other Shadows, two of which followed the attack by jumping at Nalo's (hopefully hurt) chest.Window was also successful in pinning the Shadow to the ground, but his success was short-lived; the Heartless struggled for all of a few seconds before simply seeping into the ground, waiting to strike again. All the while, another Shadow leapt at Window from the side, hoping to take advantage of the distraction. It seemed that, overall, without weapons or some way to damage them better, more Heartless would simply replace the ones destroyed before anything could be done. Such was the nature of the Third Districts attraction to the Heartless.

~Window~ [Traverse Town::Third District] Window gasped with surprise as he felt the struggling Heartless give way beneath his body to merge with the ground. He had not particularly noticed this feature of their abilities before, and now the task of overcoming them seemed just that much further out of reach. Window saw a movement from the corner of his eyes, and his head snapped around to see another small Heartless fly at him. He immediately rolled towards the Heartless under its arc of trajectory so that the thing would pass overhead, and jumped up again onto his two feet. From a strategic point of view, the situation did not favor them; Window and Nalo were expending too much effort for too little results. They either had to change their tactics or run. "Nalo!" Window called. "Do you have any offensive magic skills? Or just that shield?"

NαlΘ
Nalo pounced on the soldier heartless before it could slash him. He was sick of these things already. When two more heartless piled on top, Nalo fell flat on top of the soldier. They slashed at his exposed back before Nalo could throw them off at the wall. He flipped up and backed up to Window."I do...I can poison them, but only one at a time...I'm not sure if it even effects these things...I vote run. This district can only be so big...his house has to be here somewhere."
