Anei nodded as Austin took off and then sat down on the couch next to L.A.
Reimei handed Anei a towel to wipe off with. "He'll catch up to him. Those two, aren't meant to be separated."

Soon Austin found Sokras and he stopped in front of him. "Just what do you think your doing? you are not going to the city alone." Austin said smiling.
(by any chance did you get the name glass city from a book called the mortal instruments?)

"I used a horse silly." Austin said hopping down. "Now why did you think you could go by yourself?" Austin asked worry in his eyes.

Sokras huffed. "I know that!!" When Austin stood in front of him, he looked down at the ground. "Why? Well, I've been pretty good at keeping my self alive these past years. And I know my limits with my illusions. I figured I could pull this off without endangering you and our kid."

Austin made Sokras look up at him. "Lok..don't do dangerous things on your own. You have a family now. I will be the one protecting you." Austin said softly.

"Huh? They are?" Sokras said surprised. Then it's just Austin and me! He nodded, reassured. "Yeah! Let's go!!! The next checkpoint village is at the bottom of Thunder Valley*."

"Sounds like a plan." Austin said getting on the horse and helping sokras up. "Hold on real tight." Austin said as he set the horse off at a run to the bottom of the valley.

Sokras leaned against Austin's back. "Be careful not to let the horse get sppoked. The sound of thunder rages through the valley for the village is a mining district."

Sokras looked around as they went. Warning when he could feel a wave of thunder headed their way and checked the sky routinely to make sure they were headed East.

Finally they made it out of the valley. "Do we chest head west?" Austin asked.

Sokras shook his head. "The village is at the bottom of the valley. There should be a tunnel that leads down to it over here somewhere..." He looked around.
