Well Nick does it too right? And yeah I live on CN and Comedy Central. I can time my need for a bathroom break just fine with them.
Yeah Toonami was their downfall but I guess it was because they couldn't afford the licenses to air as many of the animes as they once did. And then they just kept showing Naruto, I think that's what made me sick of it so soon.
But really they should find a way to buy the airing licenses to some animes that aren't mainstream just yet since almost and I repeat almost everything they do air will get popular as long as there's a manga backing it too.
So keep Pokemon, bring back One Piece, one other action anime directed towards the girls and then one or two purely comedy animes. Get a small 3 hour stretch going and fix the Midnight Run on Saturdays. And stop with these new cartoons with the same ideas as the old Cartoon Cartoon shows.
Johnny Test is the sad knockoff of Dexter's lab. Blonde sibling invading and constantly messing up the experiments in the red head sibling's lab.

I agree with Bern's idea, just not the choice of shows. One Piece was almost as bad as Naruto, in my opinion.

Nick is worse than CN in regard to shows. I feel murder in my blood when I see spongebob logos.
Drake and Josh is alright, but after enough of it is is just pathetic, since they have it so that one brother abuses the other, the abused one is better without, and the abuser destroys the other's life but need him to not get killed. :/
I doubt they've come up with anything better. I might have glimpsed a few that were basically soaps for kids. -shudder-

I just liked One Piece better. There was a goal in that one and you knew which direction they were heading in. A nice show about friends and comrades, funny here and there.
I can't do Naruto anymore because a loud ninja in orange, the know it all annoying pink haired girl, the emo loner. I only watched hoping that each time they would finally die. But not it because the same after awhile. Naruto and friends went on a mission it turned out to be more difficult than they had expected, some one with a grudge wants to do something stupid. They fight fight fight until they lose then through sheer will power get a second wind and Naruto gives some sort of speech to that stubborn person that changes their lives and blah blah blah. -_-
And I miss Shin-chan.

After action show followed by action show followed by more action something mindless and stupid was a relief.
I miss the old Nick. When there was only like two live-action shows. I remember Pete and Pete, Salute your Shorts, I think they did Ship to Shore oh and the Tomorrow People...oh I'm so showing my age!

Hah. I still remember watching Looney Toons on Saturday mornings. I also remember SWAT Kats, Thundercats, Voltron, and Gundam Wing.

I can't stand Shin-Chan.
The Naruto anime has a lot more of the tedium than the manga. Neither have a plot, but with the manga I keep thinking there might be that will pull everything together. I started reading just to see why it was so well liked. I didn't but now I can't stop because I keep thinking there is a plot somewhere. @_@

Shin-Chan has always seemed just as mindless to me as Naruto. Heck, only reason I stuck with watching Naruto for as long as I did was because I was waiting for someone to slap Ino and Sakura for being so stupid. Not to mention bashing Naruto and Sasuke with a sledgehammer.

Oh, another thing I was searching for was to see a girl actually fight. Which has yet to occur. In the on-on-one battle BOTH GIRLS fought each other. That is how bad they are. Then they just both got the lose card, with a hell of a lot less damage than anyone else, without waiting for someone to get up first. :/ WTF? Naruto was determined defeated at least 3 times before each win. :/ WTF?
I think I figured it out, everyone watches/reads it because they are searching for these things, and then because everyone knows it they can talk about it, and thus it becomes popular?
