Apollo gapes in fear and horror, his chest clenching. He was losing what he loved most in this world because of an attempt to train him. A sob wrenches it way through his body, his skin losing its warm tan and becoming a cold, ashen pale. He reaches forward, touching Endymion's shoulder, "Darling... please... I'm here.... I'm here and I'll never put you in danger again... Oh gods.... What have I done....?"

Endmyion drew away from his touch, not wanting to be observed crying his sniffed and gulped back the tears untill the sobbs stilled. On shaking legs he slowly stood up and avoiding Apollo's gaze he looked towards the ground. "....is.....this the price that I must pay.....to live as a God APollo?" he said soflty. "....this is a worse betrayal then what Diana put me throught..." He took a deep breath, the more he spoke the less it hurt. "I loved you Apollo.....I trusted you, I depended on you....." Endymion breathed evenly now. ".....But....I dont' know if I do anymore."
Diana sank to her knees leaning up against a rock as if seeking security from it.

Apollo knew the that Endymion didn't want to see him, but he still gazes up at him, still cowering closer, wanting os badly to take his hurting lover into his arms and hold him, rocking him until the sobs soothed away.
But then the words came. Apollo gasps, feeling his heart skip a beat in his chest, skip two beats. Tears begin washing down his sullen almost jaundiced face anew, his voice a breathy whisper, "N-no....." The breeze got a little colder and the sky behind him brightened while the sky before him darkened. The sun was setting. In the middle of the afternoon. The god looks up at Endymion, speechless. He suddenly blurts, "D-don't.... please.... don't say anymore...." His clouded greyed eyes turn to the ground as sobs tremble through his body. "I... I want you to know..." His eyes come back up, "I will never stop loving you. Never. I will a-always protect you from harm.... I'm so sorry...."

His hands squeesed into tight fists, Dmyion truned his head away from the Sun-God and took one step towards the river, on feet as fleet as the wind he ran acros the rushing freezing waters, feet lightly sending up splashes as he ran down river. He did not, could not stand seeing or hearing Apollo anymore.
Diana blinked, that river was dangerously rough, and was at least many feet deep, teh young god had tranversed it like it was a but a small stream. Endmyion's powers where now manifesting themselves.

Apollo watches him, gasping as he ran onto the river. He gets to his feet, running to save his lover, but.... Dymion was gone, having gotten over the waters easily and now out of sight. He falls to his knees, the pain spiking through his chest cold and sharp, stabin gwith each intake of breath. He falls down on his hands as well, cowering and sobbing uncontrollably now. Not even trying to form actual words, his mind builds a weak, fading link to Diana's, "I-.... it's... what in hades have i done?... Diana... Diana!! What's happened!?"

Diana stood up, she was recovering much better then Apollo was, she felt oddly weak from the fear and knowloge, it all made sence to her. She Walked over to her brother and put a hand on his shoulder. "Apollo? she knelt beside him and put an arm around him.
Some distance away, downriver, Endmyion finally stopped and walked ashore. He was compleatly soaked from teh run on the river, and he started to shiver as the wind blew frigded air aroudn him. "Did it never become spring? as far as he coudl remember this world was always winter. nothign but cold freezing wind and snows. Oh there was a small spark of spring...when he was with Apollo. Teh young God's chest began to ache again, just thinking of it. Dymion took a deep breath and tried to think of something else. It was cold, very cold. He walked towards the pines seeking shelter from the cold wind, once under the thick portective branches he huddled down and gathered the dry stick and tinder into a pile. Wishing he had a match to make a fire with he abestly ran his hands through the tinder, wishing that he had a fire to dry himself off and.... A wisp of smoke came from the pile as he continued to fiddle with the sticks. Yelping in suprise, Endmyion drew is hand away from the spark of a fire that came from the pile, he blinked in astonishment as the small fire took hold and consumed the dry wood. Still suprised he fed more sticks and fallen wood to teh fire untill it was buring brightly. Sitting in it's warmth Emdyion dried himself as much as possable.

Apollo was still trembling, weak from grief and from the draining feeling that was washing through him. He could feel it cold, rushing through his veins. It wasn't hatred, but it was close. Betrayal, distrust, disgust...... He couldn't bring himself to stop sobbing as the icy rush of it. It was worse than he felt before Dymion had began praying for him. Diana's arms felt cold around him as well, but it was only the effect of his greying skin. If this was it... then... He leans into Diana, his sobs beginning to ebb and dissipate as he shivers, wishing he were dead. Diana... Please tell me.... Please...

Diana sent out her mind seeking Dymion.".....He...didnt' go very far, Let's get back to camp and I'll go and see if he'll come back...." She helped Apoll to his feet and kept her arm aroudn him as they walked slowly towards the camp.

The sun god winces, but takes her help, able to walk on his own though he does stray with momentary losses of balance. He never realized it would be this hard. He was able to survive with apathy, but this... It was drawing from him quickly. He almost wish he could speed up the process right now and be done with it. Diana, please! Don't hide this from me. You know that there's something more to this, don't you? They get back to camp and he walks over, sitting down on a fallen log near the campfire that Adel had made. He wasn't crying anymore, but the tear tracks were still there and his face had a flat, emotionless look to it.

Diana sat down, drawing her kness up. "Endmymion's powers...they come from....from his hope and broken hope." she said soflty bearly audiable. "I had observed that when he was with you, only half of his ability must have been awakened and when you dropped him..."

Apollo bites his lip and nods slowly. He rests his elbows on his knees, resting his face in the palms of his hands and just wishing this would all go away. He was trembling like a child that had been smacked, cowering away from everything. "Diana... he may not want company now... But can you at least go check to see if he is ok?... I.... He won't want to see me."

Diana nodded. "I'll be right back...." She gave her brother a hug and told Adel to bring out the hotdogs and marshmellows. "...It's gotten dark enough to roast them like you wanted," "Where' Endymion?" Adel asked. consered, it had gotten so dark in such short a time that he was worried that they didnt' come back with out his friend. "I'm going to go look for him," She answered. "Ok, Tell him to hurry back, I wanted to teach him some camp-fire songs since he said that this would be his first time camping." "Alright....I'll tell him." Diana walked swiftly, disspaeering into the trees. The boy watched her for a moment and sighed. "How did you lose him inthe first palce? He'd easliy get lost in woods around here..." Adel added more wood to the fire and brought out the food stuff for roasting, the pointed rosting sticks also where brought out but the young boy didn't open them. He Looked conserned at Apollo. "I hope that he comes back soon...." he put his small hands together in a uncounsious gesture of prayer."....I wanted to show my friend how much fun camping really is."

Apollo watches his sister leave with a sad smile as his form of thanks. He felt empty, cold. Usually he was able to sense Endymion, but whether he was too weak or Endymion blocked him out, he couldn't sense him anywhere now. He hugs himself, looking cold in a way that he couldn't warm up. At least the frigidness of the air covered up his grief from the boy across the fire from him. He smiles sadly and nods, "He'll be back soon.... Adel, I may leave and go back to the city soon and let the three of you have a nice camping trip. Diana knows how to train Dymion better than I ever could..." He wanted Endymion to come back as well, and if he had to leave to do that. He winces, feeling the stabbing sharp pain in his chest. If that was what it took to bring the young god back, then what choice did he have?

"Hmm? Leave? soo soon?" Adel humphed and crossed his arms "Not only you are stupid, your also no fun at all." The young boy poked the fire with a stick, sending sparks flying upwards into the low twilight. "Gee, how long will they take? I'm hungey- "Then you dont' have too long to wait." Adel truned towards the voice, "Endymion! There you are what happend to you?" The young god gave him a sort of small smile. Diana was behind him. "Let's start roasting those hotdogs Adel." The moon goddess watched the mortal boy happily teach his older friend how to stick thr cold hotdogs onteh roasting stick and how long they should be in the fire. While he was sitting, He glanced over to Apollo. " I heard his prayer.....I could not refuse him." He smiled at Adel, luaghing as the boy luaghed.

Apollo cringed at Adel's words, feeling unable to make anyone really happy. He had thought Adel would be pleased at the thought of him leaving. But he didn't get a chance to think on it any further when he saw Endymion enter the clearing. He looks up, his greying violet eyes locking on Endymion's only to see that the young god wasn't paying him any mind. And when he finally turned a glance his way, there were those words. Apollo looks up, feeling his breath freeze within his chest, sickness churning cold within him. The worst was knowing there was nothing he could do. "I understand, Endymion.... If you wish for me to leave, I will.... I want you to be happy even if I can't be a part of it.... But please. I only ask that you don't let yourself think that I, in any way, meant to hurt you. You know me better than to ever think that... I love you, Endymion, and I know I've lost your trust and your love, so please don't hurt yourself more by thinking that I meant for things to turn out this way...." The sun god stands up, giving them all a weak smile, trying very hard to let it come across as genuine, "I'll be back in a bit. Just a walk to clear my mind." And with that, he strides out of the clearing, vanishing into the dark forest.
