"And if she's not able to think clearly..." Reaper's voice calmly said from behind the demon. "...what then?" Reaper stood, leaning against the wall directly across from the doorless room, his arms crossed and humorless black eyes narrowed on the demon. How he'd gotten there so quickly was hard to say. Because the light was now out, he could have used shadow travel. Or he may have found it urgent enough to simply teleport here. What was evident though...was that he wasn't very happy for some reason.
....and his clothes were splattered in blood. His hands, what were visible, were bloody and looked as though he had simply wiped them off in a hurry.

"Well," Azazel said, not bothering to look at Reaper over his shoulder and instead keeping his eyes on the wild Black Cat, "then I suppose I would speak to someone who could think clearly. Wouldn't that be the obvious path?"
He finally broke his gaze from Cat to turn and regard Reaper. He didn't turn his back on her, but leaned against the door jamb and looked at Reaper so that Cat was to his left. "What about you, big man?" he asked mockingly. "Are you capable of thinking clearly, or should I approach someone else?"

Reaper's grimace grew at the man's tone. "I've been level headed enough to see past that cheap imitation you tried to pull off earlier." he replied, his tone as even as he could manage.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Cat grated out. It was obvious that she was caught firmly between fight or flight, much like any cornered animal, and wasn't willing to give up on either. Her posture was definitely more defensive now that he'd blocked the doorway. "Was I being rude? How incredibly insensitive of me. After all, you're such an upstanding, swell kind of guy, and you've given me so many reasons to TRUST ANYTHING YOU SAY!!!" If people were going to make a deal with this b*****d, she wasn't going to be a part of it.

Rogue took a couple of easy measured steps toward the door, "Ah didna mean ta intrude on anythin, so.... mahybe Ah should just go an get some tea. Black Cat, wouldcha want ta join meh?"
Sydney smiled at Rogue's suggestion, "Actually, that does sound like an excellent idea. If you would allow me to join you, perhaps -- with Black Cat's permission -- she could help me 'fill in the blanks' as you Yanks say it..."
Rogue glared at Sydney, "Ah ain't no damn Yankee."
Syndey looked at the agitated Southerner and responded in her Brit accent, "All right... 'as you Americans say'. Now may we depart from one volatile situation and not cause another. I don't believe that Dr. Strange would, once we retreive him, appreciate us turning his home into a warzone."

"Hell, no!" Cat snarled automatically, her eyes staying on the demon. It wasn't as though she had a way to get out of the room without going through him, anyway.

Rogue about had enough. She strode up to Arazel, "Buddy, it's mighty inconsiderate for you ta be standin in the way of a lady."

"Oh my," Azazel said, feigning concern, "am I in your way? By all means, my lady, proceed on to your grand tea ceremony." He stepped out of the door with a chuckle and made his way over towards Reaper, his gait amiable.
"That had nothing to do with level-headedness, though I appreciate both your desire to somehow prove me wrong - misguided as it may be - and your ability to actual catch that. It was an unfortunate lack of foresight on my part, as I did not expect to encounter anyone that my disguise knew that I did not. Interesting how that happens."

Reaper's frown curled just a fraction of an inch more. "Uh-huh." he replied simply. He was tempted to bring up the whole telepathy and the fact that his blood signature was beyond just a little different from the Spider's. But...best save that tidbit in case the being ever tried to pull something like that off again. He took a quick glance over at Cat to make sure she could leave the room freely now, then shot his glance back over at the Demon. If need be, he could open a shadow for her to pass through. "So after trying to use tricks, among other things, you just decide to sneak into here and talk? I'm sure you can see the rather lengthy list of issues people might have with that." And he snuck in right after the Goddess had left. Interesting how that happens. .

Syd's hand never strayed from the pommel of her sword. She wasn't going to make the situation worse, but was ready in case something did happen, "If you wish, Miss Hardy, you may join us. It is up to you."

Right about then, Strange appeared.
However, he was... fuzzy. Obviously an illusion, instead of the solid-as-stone copies he usually made. Also, he didn't look at any one person. It was like the spell equivalent of a pre-recorded message. "Good Evening; my name is security protocol one. I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately, the real me seems to be incapacitated, out for an ethereal jaunt, or off at tea in an alternate dimension. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but his mode of leaving has apparently fractured some of the spell-work protecting the house, which let something in." At this point, the illusion turned and looked directly at Azazel. "I have no idea what you are; I'm not that complicated of a spell. However, I know that you're not supposed to be here. You have exactly two minutes to politely excuse yourself, after which point I will be forced MAKE you go. And by 'me', I really mean the house. That wouldn't be enjoyable for anybody, now would it?" The illusion smiled frostily, then flickered and vanished.
There was silence for a brief beat, and then Cat chuckled. It was a very dark, unpleasant sound, with very little in the way of actual humor in it. "You know what? Sure. Why not?" She shot the demon a thoroughly wicked little smile and walked past him, back down the hallway towards the living-area and kitchen. "Enjoy, Prince Charming; you've apparently got two whole minutes to make your pitch."

Azazel laughed aloud at Reaper's words, and the appearance of the Strange-hologram only caused a brief pause followed by more laughter, even stronger this time.
First was to address Reaper. "Sneak? Sir, don't insult me with your semantics; I walked straight through the door and made no effort to hide it. Don't blame me for the shoddy defenses.
"Secondly," he said, waving towards where the Strange-hologram had stood moments before, "my offer is not to be treated in such a fashion that I will condense it in any way to please you. If you would like my help with your problem - and I stress, this is the last time I will say this, so pay attention - I am offering it with assurance of no ulterior motive and an insurance policy. If you would like to discuss it, very well; meet me in the place of your choice at the time of your choosing. If not, then good day and good luck."
That done, he waited for their response, making no indication that he was eager to leave before the house decided to expel him.

Reaper paused a moment in thought, his frown firmly in place. The...house knew that the man shouldn't be here, so that was a rather good indication that they had no business trusting the thing. They had one magic user, and a goddess whenever she returned. That might be enough, right? Did they really need any extra help? From a demon?
.......
Reaper took another glance in the direction Cat had ventured, then turned his gaze back over to the demon. "There's a city block on the outskirts of the city that's completely out of place and out of time. Should you venture there, I'll know when you arrive." he said simply. Edel's little world...Audra Adlith or whatever the heck she called it...should be safe enough to discuss things further. At the very least, she'd be able to tell whether they should take his offer of help or not. Woman probably had the power of Doctor Strange but she rarely ever used it. At all. And if he brought the problem to her doorstep, she'll have to engage in the situation at least a little bit. That would be one more magic user they could gain help from.

"Well then," Azazel said, bowing with only a hint of mocking, "I will see you there momentarily, if it suits you." As he straightened up, he nodded meaningfully at Reaper and disappeared in a puff of smoke.
[Exit Azazel to Audra Adlith.]

Once the demon had left, Reaper sighed deeply and turned to walk back down the hallway and back to his room. Edel should be able to handle things with the Demon. Perhaps she'd even be able to keep track of him once this whole thing was done so that they could make sure Cat wouldn't have to worry about him again.
Alex stared at him as he walked past her. She'd seen him before when the woman was here. He didn't have all of that blood on him then, so... "What exactly did the woman give you to help?"
Reaper paused a moment, then glanced back at her. "A few corpses to play with." he replied.
"....it smells fresh."
"I assure you..." he sighed and turned to continue back through the house. "...they were dead when I walked in."
