"Thank you..." Lyre took the prepared bottle from the soldier, testing a bit of it on the inside of her wrist. It was slightly colder than her own skin temperature, which meant it should be the right temperature for Vah... Lyre, being a full blooded Laguz, had a higher body temperature than humans. Shifters in general had higher body temperatures due to the strain caused by what was essentially body-reformation each time they shifted.
She turned to find a very young girl she'd never seen before, as well as Renault. "...So was this YOUR job, sir? I'd hate to see you raise children, leaving her behind in a wet diaper and hungry! No wonder she was crying like she was, and without a familiar face in sight!" She gave Vah the bottle, holding it until the child grasped it in her own little hands.
She tilted her head at the small girl who was talking with Renault. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Lyre... would you like to stay and play with baby Vaher? She doesn't like me much, probably because I smell Gallian, and she isn't a brave girl like you yet who can take care of herself without her momma."

Amara blinked. Gallian? What did that mean? She filed it away in the "things to ask Alihi" folder in her mind (that folder in her mind was getting rather stuffed...). She then smiled sweetly up at Lyre. "I'm Amara Kaua-Aelfgar, miss. Alihi's daughter." She tilted her head in the same direction as Lyre's was, much to her own amusement. "Vaher? Was she the one making the loud sounds?"

Lyre smiled back. "Yep- Vaheriansyleri, but you can call her Vah or Vaher. She isn't too happy right now- maybe you can cheer her up."
She shrugged her head toward the baby in her crib, her tail flicking back and forth of its own accord.

Amara nodded. "I can try..." She walked over to where the crib was, cloak draped over her shoulders. Carefully, she climbed up on the chair that was so conveniently-placed next to the crib, peeking in at the baby inside. "Ooh..." She whispered softly. "Hello there, Vah..." She whispered to the baby with a smile. Amara didn't really know how to react with kids younger than her, since, well, she was used to being the youngest.
She would find out, one way or another.

[Whee, already have two browsers and two different accounts open~]
Vah squirmed fitfully in her blankets as the rubber tip of the bottle was thrust at her, but when a bit of warm milk dripped out onto her lips and rolled onto her tongue, she seemed to get the idea, and slowly she reached up to take the bottle, only to find--
Oh god! She already had something in her hand! Daddy feather, and bottle, and... and and it wasn't working, she couldn't do both and oh whoops she just dropped the feather and after sneezing once she decided the bottle was the bigger imperative.
Tiny little hands pressed against the glass while her feet rose up, seeking footholds and after none were found she simply latched her mouth onto the rubber cap and began to fill her little baby tummy. At the sight of a bushy head of red hair that appeared over the edge of her crib, she turned giant baby eyes upward, suckling more slowly and letting her bottle fall to the side a bit, as if to say, "What, you want something? This is mine. D<"

Sue was one of the first to return to Fefga's, although she swore she remembered Rhys and the others trailing ahead of her. Maybe she lost them?
"Amara? Alihi? Aran? Lyre?" she called a few names just to see who was 'home.' They might as well stay in Fefga's, because of how often they were forced to the fortress-turned-2nd-hideout. It gave her another name to call... "Fefga? Nino?"
She wondered if she was alone. Where was everyone?

(@Soren & Tibarn: Ohh I see : o Because if Tibarn did end up losing his powers, it would make it much easier to fight him 8D -shot-) Aran was munching on some bread when he heard Sue's voice at the front door. I sure hope everythings okay... He stuffed the rest of the bread in his mouth, chewed it down and put his helmet back on. Sue could probably hear the clinking of armor as he headed towards the front door.
"Sue! Is everything okay? Is Rei back to normal?" Those were only a few of the questions he was about to ask, and if they needed backup then he was ready. He had finished the bread before he started talking, so as to not talk with a mouth full of food. Always a bad idea.

"Rei's back to normal, but... he hasn't woken up yet." The nomad begun grim news, hanging her head low. "I think everyone else is coming. I'm sure they were right behind me."

Amara smiled. "Hi, Vah~" She whispered to the baby, waving to her. She didn't really know what else to say, really, or what to do.
She turned, hearing a familiar voice. "Sue?" The child quickly climbed down the chair, landing on the ground with a "thump". She ran to the main room, Alihi's cloak billowing out behind her. "Sue!" The red-head skidded to a halt in front of the nomad. "Hi, Sue!!"
Of course, she didn't know the meaning of what Sue said. It was just words to Amara, nothing else and nothing more. She had a silly grin on her face.

The nomad couldn't help but grin at the little girl. Even if the clouds of sadness hung over her, they seemed to clear up upon seeing someone so bright and full of life. Sue had to grin. "Hello... Amara." was all she managed to say. Every day, she was becoming more like her father.

Something suddenly came to Amara's mind and she reached up and tugged Sue's arm. "Sue! Sue! Have you seen my mommy...?" She asked softly, eyes focused down on the ground. "I... I heard her say that she was going to stop someone." She looked up, the grip on Sue's arm tightening a bit, but definitely not enough to even hurt. "What is she talking about? Do you know? Tell me, please! I want my mommy!!"

The sting of Abel's betrayal suddenly became fresh in Sue's mind. She had stopped Rei, and Siegell had stopped Nils... well, actually, Rei stopped himself, but she helped...
All of that was beside the point. She knew exactly whom Alihi wanted to stop.
Abel. Although he'd done various henious things to the villagers, showing them no mercy from his blade, she couldn't help but forgive him. He too was not himself. "Alihi... has to stop a friend of hers. Someone wants him... to do bad things to others. She cares about him very much... so she can stop him." the nomad replied, half-truthful.

Amelia came quietly into Fefga's some time after Sue. Not being horseback, she hadn't been able to arrive as quickly. She also had the burden of Rei in her arms, and by now, the wounds that hadn't been fully healed were coming back to pain her, cuts and gashes from the Frosttongue dripping down her arms and legs, chest aching in a dull throb underneath her breastplate. Having a dragon's clawed foot crush your chest was not something you could recover from easily.
Her breath came in slow, quiet rasps as she eased through the front door, making sure not to let Rei's head hit the doorframe. She looked around, then huffed out a sigh and started for his room, movements slow. She still had her arms clamped around him like a backwards bride and groom, one arm under his knees with the other supporting his head and neck, holding his weight against her chest. The others were busy enough with Amara and Sue. She didn't know if Nils and Ninian had returned yet with Siegell, but she didn't want to stop to find out at the moment.
Her breath left her body in one heavy rush as she pushed Rei's door open with her foot, nearly falling over. Her knees were weak when she got to Rei's bed, and as soon as his weight was on the mattress, out of her hands, some endurance seemed to rush into her legs, allowing her to hold herself up better. Amelia ran a hand through her hair, ready to get off the armor (which felt heavier, somehow, in her lethargy) and she covered Rei up snugly, smoothing his hair off of his face. He was breathing so slowly, but he was breathing nonetheless; despite his pale complexion and lack of movement, he was alive.
"...I swear I-I'm going to beat the crap out of you once you've gotten better," Amelia whispered, relief surging through her arms and legs. She tucked the blankets better around him, knowing the boy needed to rest, before shuffling out of his room, closing the door behind her. She was unlatching and removing her gauntlets as she moved into her own room a minute later. She let her heavy armor sit in pieces on her floor as she changed out of her cut skirt and shirt, leaving on the thick leggings to pull on a heavy shirt that grazed her knees after bandaging up the worse cuts, heaving out a breath. Rest sounded good, but the others had been left here so long, she didn't know how things were going.
With a sigh, Amelia lifted herself off of her bed, covered in a patchwork of bandages and just-beginning-to-fade bruises, and started towards the sounds of Amara and Sue's speech, bare feet silent on the wooden floors.

Moving over, Nometal heard Sue refer to Alihi, so he then said, "By chance would they need any help out there? Or do you know?"

"Well, at least he's allright.. Wait a sec, how did you return him to normal without the Tome? Unless Victoria got over there somehow." Maybe we dont need the Tome to restore them.. Aran shrugged and continued "Ah I guess it doesn't matter. So long as he's okay, no?"
He heard the door open and Amelia come in with a battered up Rei, heck Amelia wasn't looking too good herself.. He was about to tell Amelia that Renault was upstairs, but she kept going. I'll get him afterwards He thought.
He listened to the young Amara and felt a bit guilty if something bad/terrible would happen to Alihi. A frown on Amara's face was hard to imagine, she seemed too cheerful to be sad. "Don't worry Amara, Alihi will come back. As will the others." Aran couldn't make any promises though..
