Harlin walked close by Shef and kneeled down next to the boy. Incoherent thoughts formed in his mind, half-formed words and feelings prevailed. So Arthur had a son, but had never spoken of him... A least not often. And they had spent so much time together Harlin never thought of his best friend's own life outside of the Ether. On Earth. With a wife, maybe, and kids.
And Shef had never truly known his own father? Was that the case? Perhaps, with all the time Arthur had spent in the Ether, the two had never had a chance to get very close... But it was still a great loss to Shef.
Acting the most fatherly he'd probably ever be, Harlin put a strong hand on Shef's shoulder and squeezed firmly.
"He was like a brother to me," Harlin stated, voice flat with grief. He wasn't there to tell him it was okay; it wasn't. But with the information he'd finally learned, he felt it was his duty to admit the ties he'd had to Arthur. To Shef, even.
((Let me know if any of this is false information or if I need to change anything. I'm just going off what I've read and assumed from there XD
Oh... and this might be a time to introduce Hans if you wanted to get him jealous Bread twisted ))

Regond was filled with nothing but shame at this point. He was only keeping a promise to Arthur, Shef's father... Why did the boy take it so personally? Regond kept to his word, no matter what the cost. He looked toward the sky, thinking if whether or not he should just fly away and never be seen again.
-----
Suddenly, a flash of lightning struck the ground near the group, and enormous storm clouds began to roll in, rumbling and spitting their breath of plasma and destruction upon the Ether. Malis's body began to writhe, glowing with the same light as it did before, and a shriek of maniacal laughter rang across the forest.

Wish I had what you have. You said you'd be here.Send the pain below. You've made me green with envy.Much like suffocating.I can't feel my trust-"Be there for me. Swear to God you'll be there for me." I am only human. Floreta yelped, throwing her arms around Shef in an attempt to protect him as Alhiria landed near them, wrapping her wings around the group - that consisted of Shef, Floreta, Regond, Kiki, and Harlin. "What's going on?!" Queenie cried over the rumbling of the clouds above as Marina pressed her body close to her. Reign glanced around nervously. Oh. This couldn't be good. Show me you care. "Down on my hands and knees, I'll break the back of love for you." You said you'd be there- Head feels like it'll burst.
My cheeks are stained red with pain.
Piss it all away.
My back's burning and I'm screaming at the wall- Should've known you were merely waiting for my fall. You know you wanna click it.

Shef glanced up, shaken out of his reverie by the ominous repercussions of Malis' death--or so they seemed. "Wh-?" he began to ask, but then the effects became even stronger. Shef was then drowned by the mass of bodies surrounding him.
--
Onstaan had fallen from the air, and was now shaking uncontrollably, writhing on the ground, unconscious.

Kiki was with Onstaan, conciousness-wise. She was quietly sprawled out, off to the side. This was probably better for her- seeing as how the clouds rolled in ominously like they did. If she was to just stay like that for a while longer, she could avoid an attack- if such was the case. But knowing Ether, and outside the comfort of her usual forest- this was probably not the case.
A little orange monkey dropped down beside her, sighing with a slight of annoyance. He adjusted some small glasses onto his face and checked her wound.

Malis's body seemed to be having spasms as it writhed around, still impaled by the arrow. Out of his coat sleeve crawled a tiny, rabbit-like creature, glowing purple as it traveled up Malis's arm and shot a look at the one who killed him... Shef. Truth be told, the rabbit was absolutely adorable. Without a sound, the rabbit began to levitate upward until it floated steadily behind Malis's body. Suddenly, Malis's limp carcass was heaved upward by an invisible force as it shone brightly with white light. The man's eyes were milked over, pupil-less and glowing brightly.
"You filthy, insignificant human." Malis boomed, his voice louder and more prominent than a flurry of lightning bolts, "You shall pay dearly for hindering my grand design."
The cute little rabbit flashed a bright light again, and Malis began to walk toward the group, parallel to the direction that the arrow had flown. Blood gushed from the wound on his torso as he did this, feeling no pain.
"This shell is weak and vulnerable." he bellowed, "It will serve well enough until I am able to evolve."

I am only human. Alhiria screeched. Flapping her wings madly, she sent blast upon blast of wind Malis' way, forcing him backwards away from the group. Show me you care. "Down on my hands and knees, I'll break the back of love for you." You said you'd be there- Head feels like it'll burst.

Kal schreeched in primal form. To his dismay he was unable to transform back into man-ape-size, due to recently being knocked unconcious, and having to use some powers along the way. The best he could do was pull her shirt with his little monkey teeth away from the scene. This didn't work quite as effectively, so Odemunk hopped onto her lap and watched the scene play out.

'Malis' was hit with the full force of Alhiria's attack, but did not budge an inch. Staring at the now-torn and tattered clothing of his host, Lumah laughed through Malis's mouth.
"Foolish winged creature." he groaned, not yet used to his new body, "Are you powerful without the wind's aid?"
He held out his hands. Out of each open palm spawned a darkly colored, snake-like tendril that shot towards the bird Guardian at dizzying speed. Dozens and dozens of similar tendrils shot forth from Malis's chest, torso, neck... every spot on his body. Ahliria would not be able to dodge them in time.

I am only human. Blasts of wind erupted from Floreta's palms as she moved - faster than Alhiria was. Throwing up her arms, a massive dome-shield of wind erupted around the group - including Alhiria - and whirled, shredding any tendrils that came into contact with it. Alhiria was shocked. My God... how is Floreta able to do this? What is going through her head? But that was just it. Floreta wasn't thinking. Show me you care. "Down on my hands and knees, I'll break the back of love for you." You said you'd be there- Head feels like it'll burst.
