"You're welcome." she said.
a maid happened across them. "Ah! I've found her! Katsuko-sama, you-!" she noticed Garret and misunderstood. "Oh my, I'm sorry to interrupt but we must get you ready, Katsuko-sama!" she said.
Katsuko looked at her maid confused. "What do you mean?" she didn't understand the implications of what her maid was trying to say but could tell that there was something more.

"Not yet, it'll start tomorrow." the maid informed him. "Now, we mustn't waste anymore time." she noticed Katsuko's torn dress. "oh dear... milady, please come with me." she looked at her mistress desperately.
Katsuko retained her frown, but she stood up. she sighed. "I don't suppose that i have a choice." she turned to Garret. "I will see you later." she said.

"We must get her ready. If you want we can prep you up as well to look suitable for the ceremony." the maid said.

The maid pursed her lips in disdain and muttered something under her breath.
"Clara!" Katsuko reprimanded her.
"yes, yes, I'm sorry, milady." the maid took Katsuko's wrist and led her away.
"Bye!" Katsuko managed to say before she was whisked away.

Katsuko was led into her quarters and pampered. they bathed her in fragrant warm water and then rubbed lotions and oils into her skin. she saw her dress in a basket but was quickly led off before she could part with her torn dress.

Garret decided to pick some roses in the garden. He tied them up with roots and walked over to a group of guards. He looked at one guard and handed him the bouquet. "Place these flowers next to the graves of the guards I have slain...I am very sorry for what I have done."

The guard looked at Garret in surprise. he slowly took the flowers. "T-thank you." he managed through the oncoming emotion. "Would you like to deliver them yourself?" he asked.

The guard let a tear slip out. "They would forgive you." he said. "Thank you for this. they will appreciate it." he said.
