She nodded and looked to Kenji. Taking a kunai from her pocket she showed Kenji his hair had changed with his eyes. "Isn't it awesome Kenji??" She spoke through mind.

Kenji's eyes widened in surprise. 'My eyes...look like yours? and my hair is black? Wait?' he looked at Shoko his eyes filled with confusion. He had heard her but she didn't speak. 'What happened?' he thought looking Shoko in the eyes, he didn't mind the hair color change he thought it was a slight improvement but the eyes looking now a tint of red with black...matching Shoko's and the fact that they were able to hear what the other was thinking confused him. He then noticed the seal on Shoko and saw a similar one on him and he knew what it meant though two things still confused him, why his eyes matched hers, and why his hair color was now black.

"This man put a seal on me then I put it on you. We're linked as partners." She thanked the man and gave the kunai to Kenji so he could see his seal easier.

The man nodded and disappeared. Kenji nodded understanding what happened to partners of the squad leader. He didn't know how to take it considering that now the two were linked. 'I see....that's cool...but why did you give me black hair? and do you think I look better now?' he thought giving a bit of a smirk though he was still getting use to the fact that she linked him as her partner, and now he had her eyes and black hair. She had basically changed the way he saw himself in the mirror. By now the fox would be waking up and probably would be confused when looking at Kenji.

She petted the fox. "See little fox? This is still Kenji!" She smiled. "It was a side-effect to have the same eyes as me...sorry."

Kenji smiled at the fox and sighed. "You avoided two of my questions and yes it's still me." he said sticking out his tongue at her. He then walked over to the nearby lake and sat down taking in his new look. He was actually starting to like it, the red tint eyes went well with his now black hair. "So why did you give me black hair...well do you think, and overall do you think I look better?" he asked his thoughts drifting a bit into his flashbacks, mainly sailing with his parents. If Shoko wanted to she would be able to see it as well, simply by focusing on the messages coming from his mind.

Kenji chuckled a bit. 'That's your fault.....so what do you want to do now?' he thought turning towards her and smiling, he was starting to like the mind link, it would come in very handy for missions.

Kenji nodded "Alright then, we have to go find Rin. She shouldn't be too difficult to find. All we need to do is get the info for her mission and then you'll decide if we take it." he said as he got their gear together as she put out the fire and would take care of the fox. He paused a moment and looked at the mask for her. 'The hidden ace?' he though cracking a smile. He put the mask away along with what appeared to be a replacement for him. "Alright here is the gear..." he paused and looked into Shoko's red tinted eyes with his own, now red tinted eyes. He hugged her and smiled a bit. 'I'm glad your my partner, thank you for giving me back my memories of my family and choosing me to link with...' he thought as he hugged her. He honestly felt like the luckiest Bushin in the world, and that was why he wanted to protect her so much, because he felt she did so much for him.

She hugged him back. "No problem Kenji-kun." Shoko let go and picked up the fox. "How do you think we can train the foxy? Oh and can we name it??" Her little nine year old self shown offen.

Kenji looked at the fox knelt down a bit and poked it's fur. "Well, you can always use it as a blanket." he said chuckling a bit before becoming serious. "We can train him to sniff out targets, it will make it easier to find people...he can also be used for recon if we can figure a way to change his coat color when we need to, simply to imitate the color a fox in that area would have." he said grinning and laughing when Shoko asked about naming it. "Hmmm...well what's a good name...." he said and glanced at Shoko and then at the fox.
(is it a boy or a girl fox lol)

Shoko stuck her toung at him. "Mr. Snowy? It's a boy by the way." She layed it on it's back and pointed to famaliar thing on any boy.

Kenji's eye twitched a bit at the fact she had to point to it. 'Geez, at least let the poor thing have some decency.' he thought forgetting that Shoko would have heard that. "Well then....Mr. Snowy is out, think more Bushin less 9 year old." he said chuckling as he thought of names. "How about Akiyo?" he asked still debating on multiple names.
