then why should we post at all? ;p 's not like we have the japanese artists are giving us permission. actually, most of those websites DO have a disclaimer that says not to post their art elsewhere. the only part in english.
it makes sense. but really.

Just if you get them from deviant, post the pic, and then a link to the pic under it. Does that make sense? It's ok, I've done it ^^

Just because the artist can't get on gaia, doesn't mean they wouldn't get offended. besides, the japanese art we DO post HAS disclaimers on the page. english artists, DA or Y, usually don't have any. anywhere. and the ones that do care put a copyright on their artwork. i really don't care. but if you're going to do it, don't not do it just because some foreign artist doesn't have access to where you're posting their art. by the way, my friend magnus deals with art theft daily. she doesn't care if it's posted, it has a copyright on it. and even though my art is not the best, it has been taken and reposted, and i really don't care as long as they aren't saying they drew it.

If someone asks for the link to a site where I got my Japanese pics, I give it to them. You sound just plain old fashioned rude. And if you think you're doing it to be cool and defend her, you're way off. I'm sure she doesn't feel offended or even jumped on. I was simply stating the rules and letting her know a possible way around it. I'm really not doing it to defend anyone, and I'm not being rude. I just think the rules should be changed. I think being required to post links at all means we should have to post the links of all art we post. I just think it isn't fair to the artists who are left out of this rule. I am not bitching at you, the guild, or anyone. You're being rude to me as well, don't forget. I'm just saying that the rules don't make any sense. If I were a japanese artist, who spoke english. Or someone who posted art somewhere other than DA or Y!, I would be greatly offended. So no links or all links, is all i am saying. Besides, this is way off topic. A mod should delete these posts.
