"Tell me 'bout it." She said, moving her legs to the side so Karisa could sit down.

"So immature..." Karisa complained, leaping up onto the seat. "So why do you keep the boy?"

She lifted one eyebrow, and turned the volume of the music down some. "Hmm... don't know." Zai responded simply.

"It must make it so that you lose money. Seems as if your the person who would disapprove of that."

She can read my mind anyway, might as well just say it. Zai shrugged her shoulder, lifting up her hands as if she was clueless. Letting them down and pulling up her knees, Zai strummed her fingers against her knees, then let out a sigh. "Yeah, the kid doesn't realize my buisness has cut down by more than half, then half of the income goes both directly and indirectly to him, yeah. Kid doesn't need more bad examples in his life..." Scratching the back of her head in thought, obviously it was a bit difficult to talk about, mainly because even with Julian and Nightshade around, she still didn't talk much.

Karisa ignored the thought. "What kind of bad examples were in his life before?"

Zai shook her head. "Let's just say... that kid has not had a normal childhood, and life has been cruel to him."

"Er, and me what?" She asked, looking at Karisa for only a moment before moving her gaze to the floor, then at her fingernails. "Is... that I'm just a killer who only cares about her wallet, but is scared what'll happen to that kid, do? Or, do ya want more detail?"

Not breaking her gaze from her fingernails, Zai responded simply, "Dad was a drunk and hated mom, mom raised me. I helped kill dad, mom was caught, killed herself in the courtroom when found guilty. Ran away from foster homes, educated self, started the buisness. Later, met Julian, helped out, here I am today."

Karisa's tail twitched. "And what exactly do you sell. All I have concentrated on were the poisons, but what else?"

"Altering weapons, toxins, raw materials, research, ext." Zai responded, resting her head on the back of the sofa.
