Hidden Steel

If Hedoro had a human face with muscles and bone structure, she might have frowned at Slade's comment. It seemed he had already had experience with her. She knew that she had no relatives, nobody else was anything like her, she was alone. So he knew about her, yet he still lived? She would have to fix that. She began to advance again, not moving forward quickly, just a steady walking speed. By the time she'd covered four feet, Slade had already created the grass and shot it towards her like thousands of flying needles. She made no move to dodge, and took the brunt of the attack, the grass spears slicing into her with near audible results. A second later, after the grass had flown, she slowly fell to the ground, in uneven chunks and pieces, torn apart by the grass. Of course she wasn't actually hurt by being dismembered so violently, she was already pulling herself together again. But if there was a chance that Slade didn't know that, then that just might give her a perfect opportunity to launch a sneak attack. While she waited, she began devouring the grass that had vivisected her. No reason to leave potential ammunition for her enemy lying around, after all.

"Well, that is far too easy. Hurry up and rise so we can continue, I don't feel like striking at you while you're down." He says, as he chuckles a little before bringing his hands together for a string of hand signs to be made. He was going to wait for his opponent to rise, but he was not planning to have himself be defenseless in the process. Even as he was sinking into the ground from the use of his Leach All Creation: Attack Prevention Technique. He finishes his hand seals in order to cast the technique known as Birth of Dense Woodland, causing trees shrubs and bushes to shoot up into the air itself form the ground around them. A good offensive and deffensive style that Slade normally used in any and all situations. Now that he was ready, he crosses his arms across his chest, and completely sank into the ground, making himself gone from the area entirely before he grins deep beneath the earth he was now a part of.

Rising from the ground about half way, Slade raises an eyebrow, it seems that his opponent had in fact reformed themselves and then moves from the current location. Closing his eyes and using the Communion with Nature Technique, he chuckles and then winces, a tree was being killed. That would prove the location of his opponent and make things easier for him to track down and then possibly kill them. Bringing his hands together into hand seals, he creates a series of hand seals, as he opens his eyes, soon every branch and tree in the area began to move as if they were animated, and then began striking out with blunt force at Hedoro. Since his piercing did not work, Slade doubted that he would be able to cause pain with vines and branches from the trees around his opponent. But with the use of the Tree World Construction Technique. He could attack from a distance, and not need to worry about things such as a counter attack yet. Every once and a while using his Communion with Nature Technique in order to view the area and locate his opponent through the trees themselves.

Slade grins almost darkly, as he sinks into the ground once again, soon after he emerged from one of the trees around Hedoro and grins, his hands coming together, as he casts the technique known as Shichuurou no Jutsu. Causing wooden beams to shoot from the ground and trees around her in order to create a prison that would seal her away inside. At the same moment, a flurry of seeds would rain down from trees as they jerk violently. More seeds being attached to the beams of wood that would be circling around Hedoro. As soon as these seeds connect, they would imbed themselves into her gel like body, and drain her of chakra until she were to die. And hopefully thanks to the Wooden Prison, she would be stuck within until those times. Slade chuckles lightly behind his metal plating, as he allows the effects of the Death Seeds to take place. This was a rather interesting battle, the only problem was if he could keep an advantage. Those branches that were yet to be cut, shift and attempt to either knock Hedoro into, or keep her inside the prison as it forms around her. Full trees themselves assisting, as the seeds rain like snow from the branches above.

Hedoro felt the wooden beams lance out around her, surprised that not a single one was trying to hit her. It took a brief moment, wasting precious seconds, for her to realize the truth of the technique. The beams weren't trying to hit her, they were trying to contain her. Well, she had had enough of being a prisoner before her life as it was now, she wasn't about to let that happen again! As the prison built itself more and more solidly around her, she became less and less solid, until she seemed as insubstantial as the air. From there, it was a simple matter to run across the air, squeezing through the few gaps still remaining in the wooden prison, before the seeds even struck her. She solidified once more only a short distance away. Acting fast, she began to get tired of Slade's wood styled attacks. He seemed intent on using the various techniques to keep her at a distance and drain her dry. A good tactic, one she used herself numerous times. And because of that, she had an inkling of what he might try next. But first she should try to clear the air a little bit. Her arms still at the ready, prepared to lash out at any branches that came too close, she expelled a long stream of flame in a wide arc around her, setting a huge portion of the forest aflame. The trees, their branches, the seeds, the wooden beams, all of it would be so much tinder. She didn't like using a fire technique, for obvious reasons, but when faced with someone who made it such a tantalizing option, how could she resist?

She could feel the fire getting sucked away, and traced it's source, or rather destination. It wasn't a vast stretch of the imagination to think that that must be where Slade was. She was tempted to just rush towards him, but recalling how he'd been fighting so far, there was no reason to think he would still be in the same place. Instead, she'd have to do something else. An idea came to her, one that seemed like it would work nicely, assuming things went as planned. Stretching a hand out, she produced a heavy blast of water, aimed approximately where she believed Slade was. But this water looked different than normal water, it was a dark black color. The infamous Symphony of Water technique. Slade wasn't the true target, at least not directly. No, the true target was the trees. The trees, which had been rained of water by her own hand, and then heated up by a brief bathing by fire. Those tries must be terribly thirsty, so she would give them something to drink. And if there happened to be a nature inclined ninja merged with a tree when it happened, that would be a bonus. But she didn't have time to enjoy her rather underhanded plan, as another fresh rain of seeds began to pepper her. She wasn't sure exactly what their purpose was, but if Slade was using the technique a second time, then it had to be something he believed could work against her. Not sure what to do to counter the technique, she instead went with her old standby. When in doubt, eat. So even as the seeds struck and entered her gel, they were promptly digested and stripped of any nutritional value. Of course, in that brief instant before they were dissolved, they would each drain a tiny portion of her chakra, but they were not in place long enough to drain a truly troublesome amount.

Hedoro knew that she didn't need to answer Slade's question, but it was such an obvious one she couldn't help but answer. "Because I'm hungry!" A simple answer, for a simple question. With that done, it was time to resume the battle. She could feel hundreds of flowers start to fly towards her, propelled by some force she wasn't quite sure of. And a moment later, a large piece of the ground below joined in, rocketing towards her. There were far too many projectiles to eat, and they were too close to each other to dodge effectively. That left one choice. An instant before the massed flowers struck and exploded, there was a small puff of smoke, as Hedoro activated a simple Substitution technique, replacing herself with one of the chopped off branches she had severed earlier. Now she stood a short distance away from the nexus of the colliding flowers and rocky mass, even as they all began detonating. She began to get a little frustrated with Slade's tactics, if he didn't come out soon, she'd have to get serious. But for now, she would just stand where she was. The wind blew, a chill breeze rustling through the branches of the charred and poisoned trees. The sound seemed stronger than it normally might have, but one would have to be looking closely at Hedoro to see the flute she was playing.
