Old joe clark. It is so long and slow and since I play the bass, I had to pluck through the whole darn thing!!! That song is over 8 lines of pure terror and bordom. And you repeat a lot!!! burning_eyes

anything that makes you repeat the same measure more than ten times in a row should be burned. and the composer should die a horrible and painful death for being too lazy to come up with more diverse measures. in this one song i had we had to repeat the same measure literally twenty times in a row. i felt like my tongue was going to fall out because it was eighth notes and sixteenth notes at 160. hey, im only in middle school.

Also any song that written in one key and has so many accidentals it should have just been written in another one.

I hate most Sousa pieces, and at the end of the year when that's all we play after we've done all our concerts, we get the book from hell! It's a tiny book filled with Sousa songs. All march songs I've ever played I always play 8th note off beats, for French Horn. My idol for French horn who has graduated used to turn his stand around in defiance and play it from memory to show how pointless, unchallenging, and boring it was.

I hate that song also, it is very monotonous. How come the trumpets always want to play it ... well I guess they have a solo.

I really don't want to play the Simpsons theme. I'm not entirely sure if my band director will even pick that, but we get to vote for our pieces for the spring concert. Please, fellow band mates and band teacher, don't choose it...(I have a grudge against the Simpsons)

Little Drummer Boy's Christmas for Clarinet needs to die. They just play [[(1/4)(8th)(8th)]] over and over and over and over and over again. There are only.. like... 2 rests in the whole piece.
(Note I'm not looking at the music, so it's probably not 100% correct, but along those lines.)
