There may have possibly never been a more boring storyline then the Khund War and the five-year gap. No wonder we were forceably rebooted.
You know you're in trouble when half of your letter column is dedicated to explaining what the GRIFE is going on...

Isn't that what the comic is meant to do?

Especially when half the team change their codenames and costumes.

Ms. Karen Starr Isn't that what the comic is meant to do? It's meant to turn the war into a frustratingly boring set of drawings of people standing still and talking to each other for four issues?

An member of a race of alien invaders, a literary convention to skip time forward five years, and the Legion of Superheroes, circa 1990.

It's the reason for Zero Hour. Another reason to hate this storyline arc. Those who think Giffen is so sprocking great need to sit down and be reeducated.

All in all I'm glad I paid a total of fifty cents for the arc. Now I can be indifferent to it in a thoroughly informed way.
Waid should hold an online poll for people to vote to see which Legionairre should end up on the threebooted team. I miss Matter Eater Lad.

Now youre just talking jibberish at me. xp
You know, massive wars (except between spandex-clad soldiers) just doesnt come across very well in comics. I mean, that whole Thanagarian war during NuCrisis was very lame. Very. Lame.

Before Zero Hour, way back in 1989, DC let Keith Giffen and two (up until that point) fan fiction writers revamp the Legion. They did a time jump, pushing most of the team into their mid to early 30s. The team was disbanded, Earth was secretly under the control of the Dominators, and things elsewhere in the galaxy weren't too good either. The team was reassembled over 12 issues, and afterwards the Khunds invaded the United Planets. Dox seems to not like it. He's probably mad he didn't invent warp drive or some rediculous notion like that.
