Arlen nodded slightly, but still remained silent.

Vincent looked between the boy and River, frowning and rather curious. Then he cleared his throat and smiled at the boy. "Then you can take my bed for now, if you still want to sleep." he murmured when River was gone.
Lily closed her eyes and hugged him tightly, falling silent herself.

"..But then where would you sleep?.." He asked in his usual soft voice almost falling asleep again, watching the woman come in. Reconizing her almost instently and waving, though he didn't expect a wave back. Blinking sadly he looked down and fiddled a bit more laying down on the floor, huddling to himself, tail falling over his legs softly."....Who is that lady?.." He asked Vincent and watched him intently though it was hard to keep the look he was giving because he couldn't keep himself awake.

"I would sleep down here, with Ukaia. She doesn't like to sleep alone." Vincent answered, reaching out to rub the boy's back again. "That lady? Her name is River. I don't know her very well." he added, wondering if the boy remembered being bitten by her. "What do you say, champ? Want me to carry you up to bed?"

"..Oh..." He looked at her and smiled."..Thank you.." He said to his question, trying not to stress himself, he wanted to see if it was real. Though he was a big skeptic for a small child. "..She is nice.." He said softly thinking about the woman again."..she gave me these cloths.." He mumbled then watching Vincent tirdly.

"Alright then... here we go." Vincent carefully lifted the child into his arms, carrying him carefully. Then he gave a slightly strained smile. "Yes... she is nice, I suppose." he agreed, then headed to toward the stairs and up them. "If you need anything, just come down and wake me, alright?"
He didn't need her, Lily realized, then slowly let go of him and got of the couch, standing. Maybe he needed the alone time that ha hadn't gotten last night... "I'll be in the kitchen." she told him softly, then stroked his hair one last time before heading that way.

The boy nodded the scenery around him blurry. eyes almost all the way closed as he shifted in Vincents arms. Tail hanging down weakly, ears still up though, they never fell.
River came back in, the glass full of a red liquid, a half filled wine bottle with her as she walked. The wine bottle un-marked as she set it down on the counter to think. "..Man..." She muttered weakly and rubbed her forehead siping the crimson liquid, that was much thicker then wine and water.

"Sleep well..." Vincent murmured, taking the boy into the room he and Ukaia shared. Carefully, he tucked him into the bed, then kissed his forehead. "Dream well..." Then the man took his leave, leaving the door open a crack so the boy would have some light. Then he went downstairs, stopping in his tracks when he saw River. "So..."

"..Hm?.." River asked drinking as she saw him, eyes light up with life, tan skin looking more human like as she sipped on the dark liquid."..Yes?.." she said more clearly as she set the glass down, playing with the bottle.

Lily was beginning to feel rather depressed by now, and it showed in her flopped-over ears; they were just about as low as they could get. She started to bake again, but her heart wasn't in it; she put the cookie dough she'd made into the fridge, then went back to the main room, tidying behind the bar, every once in a while shooting a look to Arlen; River and Vincent were ignored completely.
"He is an orphan, yes? I won't be keeping him from a family if he stays here?" Vincent sighed and stepped forward, then sat at the bar, shaking his head. "I am glad you didn't drain him dry... seems to be a good kid."

River went quiet and sat very still as he spoke of the boy."..I almost sucked him dry as you say, but I didn't because I didn't have the heart for it." River mustered to him and watched Lily for a second before continueing."..He has no family, Orphan's usualy don't do they?..I did find the kid in that ally way so Imagin.." She blinked then. "..I did kill someone though.." She swirled the liquid in the glass and took a quick drink before placing it back on the counter.

"Frankly, I don't care." Vincent admitted bluntly. "You're a vampire, and you have to feed. You also have instincts that are hard to control when you get riled, I imagine. I only went after you because if I hadn't, Ukaia would have." Then he sighed, running a hand through his hair. "And I just wanted to make sure you did think he was an orphan. Thank you, for bringing him here." he added gruffly.

"Well I wouldn't want to disapoint you." She said to him and narrowed her eyes at the drink she had."..Want some?..Once you get past the copper taste you really start to enjoy it." She tilted her wine glass towards him with a sneer of a smile, and sighed. "..Thanking me for bringing a child into the muffin, why bother doing that?..A worthless monster such as myself doesn't need that." She muttered then sighed taking a drink out of the glass.

"I don't care for it." Vincent told her, propping his chin in his hands. "Though I can handle blood wine on occasion. You aren't a worthless monster by the way. If you were, you'd have killed the boy, not brought him here. So yes, you do deserve my thanks."
