Cabron LaSwan l-Kathulu-l Wantcookie l-Kathulu-l So many people online, but no one is really posting. :I I am busying myself with linguistics and the pattern of cleverly using portmanteaus for names of fictional monsters :U Well I just found out my belly button smells like my boyfriend. :U creepy yes but oh godddI demand an explanation as to how this happened. That actually is a good question... I stayed there last night and such. But we showered earlier today... So I don't really know.

Carchar-odin Wanna know what dub purists and sub purists have in common? They don't know how to do this.What is it about language formats that makes anime fans unable to shut their goddamn mouths and just enjoy whatever it is they're watching? Every time I watch an anime episode on Youtube or some anime watching venue or even just with a few friends or the anime club, subbed or dubbed, I always see or hear some jackass commenting on how much better it is in Japanese or English. Usually it's the sub-purists that are the most outspoken (and therefore the most annoying), but I've seen insults towards Japanese VA's flung by dub purists as well. Is this really such a big deal? I watch anime to enjoy myself, not to read or listen to your rambling about how annoying you find the VA or the writing to be. Nobody ******** cares. Either go to your respective format or kindly watch and shut up, schmuck. While I generally don't care how someone else watches anime, it gets more complicated in group viewings. Easy example: I was watching Utena with some friends a while back; I prefer the show subbed, and one friend there prefers it dubbed. We can both watch the show how we prefer it on our own, but at a group viewing someone will end up disappointed. The best you can do is minimize complaints. There's also been a bit of a comeback in the sub vs. dub war since a lot of companies are releasing some (or all) of their anime sub-only. While it makes sense that this is happening (most shows don't sell well enough to cover the cost of a dub), you're completely out of luck if you prefer dubs (or need to watch anime dubbed for whatever reason). So yeah, complaints are fairly legitimate there. Aside from those and really extreme cases where the dub and sub versions are completely different, it's nerds being nerds and finding something to complain about. Just ignore them and watch your anime.

Dub or Sub. Doesn't really matter to me. I know and like English Voice Actors, but I like the anime itself. I'm fine either way.
