The manga is better than the series.
It's Pokemon, but without the censoring. Like, Pokemon can die, people die, etc. The creator of Pokemon wanted Pokemon to be more like this, but the audience was aimed towards young children, so they made the anime more friendly.

Is really good, but I lost all love to it after Yellow defeats Lance and a new hero takes the spot. I like way better Red then any one els and I can't stand how awesome Green is. Red and Green are my favorites.

or some times Visa Versa, i'm used to Blue=Gary and Green=Leaf
