Inque Clay Of course, there was no sign of any actual intellectual comparisons to be found in said post.
I'm just not as goods at the book lurnin' as you peoples is. I should, in all seriousness, warn you about Lost Girls if you intend to get it. I think the reason that I was able to get through it mentally unscathed is that I've come into contact with the abyss a few times already, most notably where Grant Morrison's The Filth is concerned. Lost Girls is at it's heart a good narrative, but it's powerful and disturbing stuff. There are several sequences in the book that I never want to think about again.

Yeah, I really wouldn't want you plunging into the abyss without knowing what you're going to find at the bottom.

Well, there's that and there's the fact that I don't think I really want to imagine some of my favorite characters in those positions.
Figuratively and literally speaking.

So. Devil's Due Press has the oddest of promotions going on. If you send them the cover of a comic from one of the Big Two, they send you a free comic book. The premise being "they ripped you off, now you can rip them off! Well, their cover, at least."
After reading Heroes For Hire #1, I think I might do just that.
The really funny part? When I showed this ad to a friend at work, he named the exact same title xd
For the interested
Nya ha.

I like more than a few of theior books. Hack/slash is good. Dragonlance and the Drizzt Do'Urden series. I've been meaning to try Family Guy or Declassified . .
