Sounds like either the power unit or mother board is kicking the bucket.

I'm doing amazingly. Don't have my new TV yet, but I've picked up some add-ons for Disgaea 3 and LittleBigPlanet, and got my hands on Savage Moon, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, Fallout 3, Burnout Paradise, Folklore, Armored Core 4, and DBZ: Infinite World.

I almost forgot how awesome Comix and Shinobi III were.

Man, I just had my most epic victory in Rome: Total War to date. I had an army of about 900 Greek hoplites versus one of the great houses of Rome, whose numbers totaled around 3000. I won the battle. They killed about 700 of my guys and my guys killed over 1500 of them. The casualty count left them so demoralized they just fled every time looked back at my last remaining 200 guys guarding the enemy's discarded artillery. I'll tell you what though. It was hard fought and I was losing in the beginning. I made a tactical withdrawal and reformed my remaining forces and then they attacked with wave after wave of soldiers whose moral was lower than dirt. So after a few I basically routed most of their cavalry and infantry to nothing. All that was left were their artillery. So I took them and won. I took down their archers right off that bat. But man, I could have easily lost that had I not withdrawn. gonk

At this point, I had only 66 of 81 Spartans, and they were in another town I had just massacred. That battle was 500(Greeks[me]) to 1500(Macedonians). Oh how I love to use and abuse the parapets of the enemies walls. 3nodding I ended up losing maybe 71 guys in that battle, 5 of which were Spartans. While they lost the town and all defending soldiers in it. And, well the entire civilian population.

Wow, Vain, you must have moneys flowing like explosive diarrhea to buy all that....though honestly, I can't believe you bother to buy DBZ garbage. That whole series needs to just die already. I loved Dragonball and DBZ was pretty cool for the most part, but GT ruined the series for me, and seriously, DBZ is more of a burnout than Power Rangers and Final Fantasy VII, I wish they would stop trying to milk more profits out of an already horribly worn-out franchise.

Ryu, I shouldn't go there.... Spartans are good for only 2 things: making buttbabies and battle. Just watch Meet the Spartans, that movie was a great and horribly retarded historical documentary about the gayness of the spartans. XD
How are you people today?
PostPosted: Thu Feb 19, 2009 2:57 pm

That was far, far from a historical documentary. gonk Of course there were the gay ones. But I mean seriously, their culture was radically different from our own. s**t, they didn't even have a word for homosexual. Even Zeus had his moments of it.

I think I figured out what I'm gonna name the kid. Mashiro.

Income tax and frugal spending. When I smell deals, my wallet and PS3 are both happy.

DBZ is classically good stuff, but I buy the games because they're, ya know, good (Excluding Sagas and Tenkaichi). Same reason I pick up the Ultimate Ninja games. Just because the series starts to blow nuts, so long as the games still deliver quality game play, I'll continue to pick it up.

I couldn't stand 10 mins of Meet the Spartans... it was just as bad as all the other 'parody' movie films... Speaking of milked series...

No the anime was milking the series. Polar opposite of the manga. I'm just taking a name.

Am I the only one that's not really impressed by SF4? I picked it up today (along with Techmo's Deception) and... meh. It's not a bad game or anything, but it still just feels like the old fireball fest of SF2.... Hell, the characters stories don't even look like they changed much, and the controls and actions are still all the same for most part. The only thing that's stood out to me so far is the art direction.

I dunno, my oppinion might change once I get deeper into the game, but I really don't see me getting my moneys worth in the end.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 24, 2009 7:21 pm

It's supposed to be a continuation of the series. So of course they're not changing much. I happen to like it quite a bit. And I find the soundtrack to be especially good.

I honestly cant see it being much of a fireball-fest considering how little damage the projectile attacks deal. If you play online with people who only use projectiles, stop playing people who suck a**. I mean, ********, I'm terrible at the game, but I can play as any character with a projectile attack and win without using a projectile attack once. Unless it's by accident. Since I'm an aerial fighter, my stick is all over the place. So every now and then I pop one out without trying, usually in a combo though. So it's not really at a distance, it's right there, next to them usually after a punch or kick. I shocked myself the other day since I did my first ever Shoryuken completely by accident. However I must say, Seth is a b***h with those Sonic Booms. I don't know how many times he's cheesed me out of a win with a flurry of those damn things.

Also, I find it nice to be able to side step the projectiles if they ever show up. Cammy for the win. Which is also why I'm glad they increased her damage. Since, she's the character I play as. Zangief can also side step them. But he's a grab whore and I hate him.

Well that was ******** fail. I was playing Street Fighter 4. And my 360 red ringed. If that wasn't ******** fail enough, my game disk was inside of it and the ******** disk tray stops working when it red rings. Had to find a god damn paper clip and turn a ******** gear that's almost impossible to see, even with a flash light to open the gad damned thing. So I registered it and I'm getting it repaired. Man. That was ******** BS.

This brighten my night however.

I agree with Lum and Ryu, DBZ is overmilked waste of time. And the reason I view the games as such is they are nothing more than an attempt to milk more money. The Manga was great, they need to let it die in peace. And With how games have been lately, I can't say I actually expect any fighting game, let alone one from a burnout series, would be any good. Every DBZ game I have played has had a sucky fighting engine that makes it difficult to win doing anything other than button mashing. The other fighters are not much better. Hence why I don't buy as many games anymore. Only two I really want right now for the 360, and those are Beautiful Katamari and the new Star Ocean game. Other than that, I want some good DS games, and that is about it. I have given up on Sony, they seen to be dying out because of their stupidity. Sucks that Disgaea 3 is PS3 exclusive, I wish they would make a 360 one. In other news, Jayson's getting a PSP his brother got him for Xmas. Since he could not return it cuz he got it in Mass and Jayson doesn't want one(The only PSP game he is interested in is FFTactics, and he now owns it for the PS) He tried to sell it, but nobody wants to buy it, even the pawn shops don't want it because they can't seel the 4 they already have. I can see why too, Vain, you may be partial to it, but I personally feel, and almost everyone I know as well, do not like PSP, and think it is a waste of time. The sad part is, Originally, the DS sucked a** and PSP was decent, but now it seems to be reversed. Just like X-Box and PS, I hated the original X-Box, and loved the PS2, but I hate Ps3 and 360 is actually decent. Oh s**t, great, I guess I just revived that old debate again. Though this time, I am siding with Ryu that 360 is far superior to Sony. Of course, I still like Nintendo better(So badly want a Wii for my Ganondorf!)
How are you peeps today?

Aside from the red ring issue, the 360 is a good system. Then again, every system of this generation has it's major faults. The problem with the PS3 and 360 is that if you have one, you really don't need the other. Most of the games are cross platform, and the 360 games are 10 dollars cheaper. Each system has their own games, and for the most part, they're pretty good. But seeing as how the PS3 came out a year after the 360, and again, 90% of the games on both systems are released on all 3 systems, I have a very low need for a PS3. Unless Monster Hunter 3 miraculously goes back to Sony, I probably wont be getting a PS3 until the next price drop. Problem with the PSP is that they just about stopped making games for it. However you can hack them to play the games released in Japan and not the US, so that's all good.

Once this first team round is over, the arena will transform, and some others will be able to enter the Tower of Eternity, in an attempt to stop Lady Gamaru.
