"It's really hot upstairs and I'm trying to get a crossdraft. I don't really think asking you to keep him in your room is an unreasonable request if he's bothering your roommates."
"Well, he's just a puppy, he doesn't know any better."
"That's because you haven't spent the time to train him. All I'm asking is that you keep him in your room."
"Can you not be like this in front of company? Yeah, thanks."
The dog is still not in her room.

Disrespect seems to be a recurring theme in my life lately. I'm grateful, though, that it's happening in minor and unimportant situations because I feel like I spent a lot of time not standing up for myself in the past in much more important ones, and it's better that I get the practice on things that don't really matter.
