Well, that's the classical cartoon theme of the dog dragging someone/something around in the street.
I hope you're alright. My hand is a little scraped and my clothes are dirty (and right after my shower, too crying ) but I'm fine. I just feel silly 'cause I totally called it.
Also, there are more items than the ones you get just for filling the cards? I knew there were achievements for the event, but not more items. You need to fill all five for the next item
