Magitek is a term from FF3..and the engineer in the hint could be Cid the engineer so I would look in that game. Although, I haven't played it or FF5, Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana so I'm not sure about how helpful that would be.

yeah, Magitech isn't in Chrono trigger so I think Lion's guess would be the best place to look

Magitek is an FF3 term, and upon completing the quest you unlock the Magitek job and get skills like Bio Blaster, Heal Beam, and Tekmissle. The engineer that gave me the clue was somone to talk to who you start the quest at. He gave me the clue, it's not cid. Can you think of any smart monsters from FF3 though? None of the espers and magicite are in the game just fyi.

I haven't played it. And I realized that I put FF3 instead of FF5. I remember my cousin playing the nintendo version of it a long time a long and it talked alot of magitek.

Well I found my next clue, I went searching through a place called Fanatics Tower (to ask the Magimaster on the top floor) and about half way up I ran into a White Dragon that gave me my next clue...
The White Dragon looks at you oddly and clears his throat. "Well damn, you are quite the fool to be looking for Magitek. But I could care less... Magitek is a large source of power. But not everyone seeks it to use it for their own cause. Some seek Magitek because they need its power source... to live, perhaps? There are many foolish people... not only humans are."
Now i'm having trouble finding this one aswell. Ohwell any suggestion or tips are welcome and much appreciated even if failed ones (it means one less place it could be)
