CanoodlingFlibbertyJibbit Hmmm.....I pretty much just let the characters pick. Sypher has been my character for so long, things I intend to do with him sometimes just don't happen. I'll be writing him and what I write is wrong or doesn't fit or something just isn't right. So...
My suggestion is just play Marie true. If she wants to be Kage, she can certainly come to Sypher and speak to him. He will happily let her know what's up and how best to make the choices that will lead her to Kage...

-gives a look- Tetsuya is extremely broken and lonely. He treads between not wanting to be forgotten and not wanting to be walked on. He felt a little of both happened there. Playing him to his character.
He knows. He really does. But he is not a mind reader. He cannot help if a person doesn't ask first. If he's afraid of being forgotten, then he needs to become unforgettable. But Sypher didn't forget him. I'll post just as soon as I can...

As true as that may be, it's a conversation that hasn't been driven home between them. He is a orphan, he's still afraid of that a yum_bacon spect, even though he tries to be fiercely independent. He is letting himself down, but he also has only had himself to stand with over the years, it's why he is so morose.

Also, Sypher is an orphan as well. So we'll see what happens.
