Besides, when facing your hordes or supporting the army while being with my girlfriend/fiance at the same time, I really need to be able to do so with efficiency.

Both sides have their fair share of victories and defeats.
When I look at this game from a military standpoint, the girls are waging a war of attrition, won by superior numbers, while the guys are waging a blitzkrieg, won by superiority in speed.
