She had looked up at him while he talked. When she saw the ring then the scars she finally broke down. She had never stopped loving him either but she always set herself up to the expect the worse. The tears rolled down her face before she realized they were. "No note, message, not even a good bye." she muttered. "I kept hoping you'd gone out to hunt and would be back....as days turned to weeks I feared the worst. I couldn't stand it, I left. I knew you couldn't be dead, you just couldn't but I couldn't let Dante get his hopes up thinking your be back once he was old enough to realize that his dad wasn't in the picture. He thinks you're dead because of it. My mom, even my brother always watched me knowing I was upset. I was starving myself and making myself weak. Dante got his powers right as I first lost my consciousness only two months after you'd left. He was scared as my life started slipping." she couldn't stop talking and felt herself losing control of her powers like she had when she first met Shayde. Her body began shaking as her eyes flickered between normal and glowing purple. She shook her head to snap out of it but it wasn't working well. The obvious signs were showing as she clutched her arms around her stomach, falling to her knees.

When he kissed her, her eyes flew wide open on shock but relaxed soon after. When he started to whisper to her she calmed completely. Her eyes focused, glowing the bright purple before slowly settling to normal. She gave a weak smile to him to say thanks as she passed out.

In that moment the door to the cabin flung open, Dante standing wit his bow and arrow aimed at Shayde. From his view, he saw his mom passed out in some strangers arms. He had felt his moms powers getting out of control and humor up, forgetting Caius in that instant. "What did you do to my mom! Let her go!" He threatened and bravely as e could, his eyes glowing the familiar purple that matched Aqua's. He looked down at his mom worried then back up at Shayde.

He eyed Shayde carefully. "I'm not a child so don't call me one. I can beat my mom and I can certainly beat you cause my mom is the strongest." He defended. When he saw Shayde grab his sword he drew the arrow back ready to shoot if he did anything. When he saw the mark the arrow shot off, completly missing as Dante dropped the bow to the ground. He shook out of it as he yanked a small dagger out of the belt he wore. "Who are you? My dad is dead so you must be related to him but I can't trust you. How do I know you wouldn't harm her?" He said accussingly. His stance proved he had been trained well and obviously knew more than a normal ten year old boy would, even for his kind. He showed the skill of a well used warrior, and his eyes only proved Ge wasn't just good with weapons.

Dante listened carefully, thinking about everything he said. When he saw the ring, he glanced down at his mom as he gripped the dagger tighter. When Shayde corrected the position his hand was in he muttered under his breath, biting his lip with a fang as he quickly adjusted, his eyes never leaving Shayde. The air around them began to pick, whipping around violently. "You left us, she nearly killed herself because if you!" he yelled, anger evident in his eyes and voice. "How can you say you love her?! I finally got her to take that ong off her hand, knowing she'd feel better if it wasn't constantly in her view to remind her of you! I almost lost my mom because of you, get away from her! Now!!" with his last word the ground shook, the wind blowing leaves and small branches around to hit him. "It's all your fault!" his eyes shifted from the bright purple to a black as he glared at Shayde.

In that instant, everything froze. Dante's eyes shifted back to purple. He shook his head. "No. I won't kill you. I can do much worse to you if you live. I'll erase mom's memory of today, that you ever came back. Make her believe she hates you more than anything and throw that ring as far as she can. You're dead to us anyways so why not make her truly believ it. She's asked me to make her forget almost every time we train together. I know she'd neer be all there if I did so I just make her forget she ever cried. You don't know ht we've been through and I don't want you near me or mom now." He disappeared only to reappear behind Aqua. He knelt down beside her, still watching Shayde. "Worse yet, I could make you believe you killed mom and I with your own hands. We'd go on living here, hiding from you and you'd be tearing yourself apart thinking you had killed all you ever cared about after abandoning them to fen for themselves." He had placed a force field around himself and Aqua. "Doesn't that sound worse than being killed by your own son?"

"I can if I have to. She wouldn't be mad because she's asked me to do it for years now." he didn't acknowledge anything Shayde said after that. He jumped up when Shayde had flashed out. He looked at him and Aqua. "Reslly? Why do I always end up in these kind of positions?" He muttered to himself. He gave up on the idea of messing with either of their minds for now. He knelt back down by his mon and closed his eyes, his hand hovering above her heart. After a few minutes she woke up and he leaned back to catch his breath. He gave a small sigh before getting up and standing above Shayde, debating whether he really wanted to do what he was about to, Aqua was sitting up now and regaining her bearings. She saw Dante and knew what he was thinking. She didn't know of he knew or not since she wasn't even sure how long it had been since she passed out. Wit a sigh Dante kneeled down by Shayde an repeated the action. He pulled his own life force out and through Shayde. Healing and dragging Shayde conscious mind back to the surface to wake him.

Dante looked a little weak but knew he'd be fine in a second. He got up and took off into the trees around the cabin. The smell of blood filled the air as Aqua stood an looked at Shayde. "He's talented and powerful. Worst that could have happened would be passing out for a minute. He knows his limits, better than I know mine." She said.

Dante returned almost immediately, wiping the blood from his lips as he came up beside Shayde. "Hurt her, and I won't hesitate again." he muttered just loud enough for Shayde to hear. He ran up to his mom and hugged her. He was smiling. "You scared me mom. I felt your powers going out of control and came out and this guy was there. I'm glad you're ok. He was helping you so I thanked him." He said cheerfully, his attitude completly different than what he had shown Shayde, closer to how he was when he had win the race against his mom.

Aqua shook her head. "I'm good." she said as she put her arm around Dante's shoulder and smiled down at him. She have a sigh and looked back at Shayde. "I have one question for you though....Is it ever going to happen again?" She asked him, keeping vague and hoping he caught in sincehe didn't know what had happened while she was passed out. Dante looked between them acting confused. Aqua was sure what his answer would be but she wanted to be sure before she dragged Dante into it. She didn't want to tell him who Shayde was just to have him dragged from their lives again. Dante was twirling his dagger in his hand as he stood there
