Xavior Hellzwing Then I take it that it's automatically a good idea to infect most pokemon that will be EV trained.And reiterating what I understand about vitamins and anti-vitamins real fast ... Say I have a level one baby Caterpie. I can force-feed it full of 50 vitamins in all. 10 in each stat because none of the stats are even close to 100 at level 1. Although I don't want to do that, because then that will be subtracted out of the 510 EVs that I could have spent all in attack and speed, for example. However, if I first maxed out its correct EVs around level 20, with all it stats well under 100, I can THEN stuff it with the 50 vitamins? I have a feeling it doesn't work that way. And I still don't know much about IVs and how they effect stats. So I won't ask about how anti-vitamins react with them. Those I need to read about still, but I've just been putting it off.
no... vitamins give 10 EV's. so once your done EV training, you have max EVs and can no longer use vitamins...
vitamins cant be used after there are 100 EVs in the stats, not a 100 stat.
vitamins and anti-vitamins have no affect on an IV.
an IV cannot be changed, and ranges from 0 to 31. basically, at lvl 100 a pokemon with a 31 IV in attack will have 10 more points in its attack than a pokemon who had an attack IV of 21.
(as long as they had the same nature and were trained the same way
do you understand BAse stats? cause its so much easier to explain IVs if someone undertsands base stats

No.
Base stats are the range of stats the Pokemon can have in that stat.
Say you have a base stat of 130. Your lowest possible speed is --- and max is 394.

kinda... the base stats reflect the potentional of a species in each stat.
so without EVs/Nature/IVs at 100 all pokemon, of the same species, would have the exact same values in all stats. IVs are a way to add uniqueness to pokemon. as now there will be a (up to ) 31 point difference in every stat between pokes of the same species. IVs and bautyre further help this.
