Streamjumper Musuu I wouldn't pay for Gaia unless I had a job to pay for it.
Also the parents come into the issue -- my mom might not even let me pay for a membership if it comes to that. Lots of people would be loss, and I think they know that. Since I must be stupid, I'd like someone to show me where they said they'd be going subscription only. All I've seen them do is send out a pretty standard survey asking about a lot of possibilities, one of which was sounding out the users on the idea of some content that is for subscribing users. Some. Not turning Gaia into a pay only site.
I honestly think a big part of the problem is you have these SF regs like Sephore, Gelmax, Silver, and others bashing the admins. And users will stay by these people and not think for themselves. I stand by the fact I think the survey was conducted by a third party and has no official standing on the starting up of a paysite.

Also, does anyone have a Human Labcoat that they would be willing to lend to me for a couple of days (I say a couple instead of just one because I'm really sick and can't guarantee I'll have the energy to turn my computer on for a bit if I'm feeling particularly nasty)? Well, it turns out I'm pretty sick and don't seem to be getting any better. I went to the doctor on Monday and she said to just keep taking over the counter sinus medicine and cough drops to soothe my throat, runny nose, and sick stomach. Now I'm coughing up a lung and my head feels like it's going to explode. I can't be on the computer too much because it hurts my eyes/head, so I might not be around for a little bit. I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow, so hopefully I can get some of this sick cleared up.
It's awful being sick the first week of the new semester too. Remind me to never do that again! sweatdrop gonk
