The ship got up into the air without much incident, which was a miracle in and of itself, considering that it's pilot was only barely coaxed over to the command center after being promised hoho's and a new segway when they had the money. However, his mouth did have to be taped shut after takeoff, as Kayako wasn't exactly happy with Quinn's rendition of 'On The Road Again'.
Now that things had quieted down a bit, Kayako found herself relaxing in her Captain's chair, watching Asuka and Gray try to put together a makeshift mousetrap out of wire, cardboard and superglue. While both LFO pilots were mechanically-minded, they were having considerable difficulty with their task, and even with deciding on what kind of trap their concoction was supposed to be. At first they'd tried for a classic trap that killed it's quarry, but had changed their minds after Liana had started telling everyone all about mice and what cute and fuzzy critters they were. Kayako had a sneaking suspicion of what the rustling in her albino friend's pocket was, but had decided to just send the girl off to look for Rain and Ryouki rather than confront her.
"Hey, Gray." Kayako called across the room to where the boy was kneeling "I've got a job for you. When we land, I want you to help me look for a new weapon's manager. Looks like that Domanic guy snuck off while we were on the ground. While we're doing that, Rain, Asuka and Ryouki can hunt for a job for us, Nic and Reiku can go through the food supplies and throw out all the stuff that's been contaminated, and Liana can round up the mice and shoo 'em outside."
"Trusting that girl to get rid of mice looks like a sure-fire way to get MORE mice. She'll catch them and keep them as pets."
"No worries, after I explain to her about all of the dangerous things you can find lying around in a place like this, she'll make sure every last mouse is off this ship."
"That's cruel, even for you."
"Yeah, well, we don't need a bunch of rodents contaminating our food. Besides, military ships really ARE dangerous for something as small as a mouse, and she'd be hysteric if one of her little friends were to die in an accident."
"True."
As the blue-haired boy went back to helping Asuka with their little invention, Kayako decided to get up and watch the clouds through the window. She couldn't remember the last time she'd actually stopped to admire something. What was she, fifteen, sixteen maybe? In her mind, getting caught up with duties at such a young age was just silly. Of course, given what she and her friends had been through during their short lives, maybe that sort of attitude was expected.

The bridge door's open as Reiku and Nic walked in. Reiku saw Gray walking off the bridge. He let out a light breath as he walked over to Kayako. " Nice isn't it? " He looked at her and smiled. In his mind he was getting nerves about what he was gonna say to her. " Can I talk to you about something kayako... " His voice got a low.

"Hm?" Kayako quickly turned around to face Reiku as he spoke, leaning herself against the window. She had half a mind to say 'why are we whispering', but decided to lay off of the jokes for the time being since the boy seemed serious.
"Sure. Is there something wrong?"

He looked straight into kayako's eyes. " Ya... its about my LFO Something that I've been keeping secret from all of you.. " His palm's where getting sweaty. " I don't know how to really explain this but I'll try. " He looked away slightly towards the window.

Nic stood back from the conversation and stared out another window, but made sure to be close enough if Reiku needed any help. Hands in her pockets she quietly hummed the song she knew for ages and rocked back and forth on her heels. I'm sure he'll do just fine... she thought to herself as she walked a little closer to a window.

"Well OUT with it then, what's the problem?" Kayako tilted her head as she spoke, keeping eye contact with Reiku as he tried to move away. She could tell by his posture that whatever this was, it was scaring the boy, which immediately put her on edge herself. The last thing the group needed was an LFO bomb on board, or something equally distressing. They'd just gotten back into the air, after all, and Kayako was enjoying the peace they were experiencing.
"Senturi didn't mention seeing anything weird last time I talked to her..."

He took a deep breath as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out the amber compac drive. " When we where with tolly a few months back he explained to me that Twilight was found in the same dig as theEND and the Nirvish. The past couple days he's been acting really awkward. To make things worse I'v been keeping it secret that he moves and talks from you and the group. " He lowered the drive to his side. " The only two people that knows he dose that is.. " He looked slightly at nic. " Is Nic and Tolly.." His heart started to race. He knew that Sentury watched over all the LFO's in the bay. " I'm sorry kayako..." He looked down at the compac drive that was glowing.

"So, it's talking to you? Why were you afraid to tell me THAT? My LFO talks to me all the time. Mercury and Silence do, too, and I think Eden even talks to Rain. LFO are alive, Reiku, they're coralians. Then again, I guess it's kind of weird that you can hear it, since you aren't part coralian. It'd have to try alot harder to get into your head." Kayako tilted her head back a bit, thinking to herself. She'd never really given Senturi's ability to speak that much thought before, given that she'd been able to hear it ever since the foundation had changed her. Talking with mecha was natural to her, but obviously it wouldn't be for someone who hadn't gone through what she and the others had.
"If it was found near Nirvash and theEND, that probably means it had a strong link to the coralian core. LFO like that have alot of willpower, you've seen it with Senturi. All LFO are alive, but most of them can't do anything without their pilot. If Tolly was telling the truth, none of this is really a surprise. That compac though....I don't know why it looks like that. Naturally they're supposed to be green, even when they glow. The inverse drives glow red, but that's because they're tainted. Was it like that when you first got Twilight?"

He took a deep breath. " Yes. When my father before he died gave it to me and told me to protect with my life, he sead it holds some kind of secret that he didn't what the UF or Dewy to get there hands on. It hurts when he talks to me. My head feels like a hammer is getting slammed into it. " He held his head lightly. He let go and looked at her. " I kept it a secret because I didn't what you getting angry... " He closed his eyes as his hole left arm went numb. " Ow.... " He leaned on the rail and shook his head.

Nic was leaning against the wall next to the window when she looked out of the corner of her eye when she heard someone say 'ow,' only to see Reiku leaning against the rail and shaking his head. Well if he needs help he'll ask right? she thought to herself as she fiddled with a paper clip that had been sitting in her pocket.

"Okk?!"
The calming, soothing, mind-easing and artistic beat of reggae was cut by the hollering woman on the other side of Okk Mervis' bedroom door. Buried beneath a pile of sheets and clothes was the one of the Dramatis Personae, grumbling softly as he came to.
Okk Mervis, aged twenty-six at his last recollection, lived in the underbelly of the Flightport's delivery agency as a live-in Package Transport Service Agent. In other words he was a delivery man, short and simple.
His morning began as usual, waking up to smooth funky music and one angry woman. Unfortunately for him she was his boss and had quite the temper.
"Okk," stated the voice again, and he could hear the agitation in her voice as well as the dreaded tapping foot. "I'm awake," he answered clearly and hoped that would be enough to get her to go away. The last thing he wanted to see was her over-sized sunken face and baggy eyes. Truly she was the reason people drank at night. "'I'm awake, Miss Flightport,' is what you ought to be saying." After that Okk could hear the audible footsteps of her leaving and climbing the creaky basement stairs back to the office above, away from his dwelling.
Here he was, living near a port and doing nothing of much importance. It was not quite what he'd had in mind when he left home. But that was his predicament, unable to leave and making only enough money to feed and clothe himself. He had been evicted from his last apartment and was forced to live at his workplace. It was luck that Miss Flightport even agreed to let him stay.
It didn't take him long to prepare for the day. Okk took a quick shower after he brushed his teeth, washed his face and used the facilities. Everything had to be done promptly as he was expected to work an hour earlier than the other employees because he lived at the Agency. As soon as he was dressed he headed out, but upon opening his door he discovered a brown package with his clipboard and a bagel sitting atop it. Miss Flightport had left him with his first delivery of the day. "Oh joy," was the only thing he could say aside from cursing up a storm. The last thing he needed was for that fat witch to know he was annoyed. Okk refused to let her win.
Okk let out a deep breath as he bent down and lifted the box. The bagel slipped as the package tilted and was well on its way to the ground but Okk was quick and managed to catch the morning goody with his teeth via an awkward head lunge which could have been a strange dance on another planet. With bagel in mouth and package in hand, Okk was ready to leave. But first he needed the destination of the package. Luckily the package was crowned with the almighty clipboard of knowledge which gave him a complete shipping record of past and present clients and recipients.
Okk's mouth hung open and dropped his bagel, which hit the ground with a dramatically exaggerated thud, as his eyes narrowed on the name of the recipient.
Noli Spesche
A name he remembered clearly from his days in the Federation. The responsible party for current predicaments. Either he was blessed by a merciful god or horribly unlucky to have the chance to run into Noli again. One thing was clear: he had to make it to the port.

"Reiku, I think you need to go see Nic. I'm not sure what help she'll be, but she knows more about medicine than the rest of us do. Maybe later we can take a look at Twilight, see if anything's wrong with it. Until then, I want you to relax, okay? We should be arriving at the next town within the next four hours." Kayako was growing concerned, watching the young pilot grasping his arm like that. Not that she knew anything about Twilight other than it's basic specs, but she knew that an LFO causing that kind of pain in it's pilot was definitely a cause for concern. If that much strain was being caused by the link between Reiku and the LFO, they'd have to find a way to make it easier on the both of them.

Reiku nodded slightly as he handed kayako his compac drive. " If you want you can hold on to this.. " He smiled slightly as he left it in kayako's hands and turned and walked towards the medicle wing.

((Sorry I'm out visiting family this week. Didn't know the rp was going to move.))
Nic let out a small sigh and turned on her heals with her hands still in her pockets. She thought to herself as she walked towards the medical bay of what could possibly be causing Reiku the pain in his arm. Nothing came to mind as she was soon able to catch up with him. As much as she hated to do it she knew she would have to ask a string of questions before even maybe coming close to narrowing down the possibilities. Atleast I can try to find a way to numb some of the pain until the rest of the situation could be figuered out.
