Rei's eyes slowly wandered up to the door.She said nothing a soft grunt exscaping her lips.

Who else but the pharaoh entered. Atem seemed a little uneasy to be there, but seemed also determined. He went over to the side of the bed. "I know you probably don't like me, but I have to say some things. Do you mind?"

Rei's eyes followed him to theside of the bed.She said nothing but she dident protest eather.Her eyes seemed to gaze right threw him.

"Bakura seems to have gone mad. Are you the cause of that?" Atem asked, tilting his head to the side. "And not the hikari; I'm talking about the spirit of the ring. He refuses to duel me at all, when normally he would have jumped on the chance to get my Millennium Puzzle. He argues aloud with himself when he is in control, which is becoming more and more rare. Him being in control, I mean."

Rei just staied at him saying nothing.Sure she was thinking everything threw in her head but she hadent spoke in months.

Atem sighed. "You want to be like that? Fine. I can see now why the nurse was so surprised when she found out that you wanted a visitor." He headed over to the door.

Rei's lips parted when she started coughing violently.She had become used to nottalking and thats why it was hardfor her to speak "really?" she asked softly her voice dry and horce "Is he really acting like that?"

Atem paused, and glanced over his shoulder at Rei. "Yes. He almost always takes control when I'm around, and he;s been doing it less and less. When he does something I don't like, I challenge him to a duel or some kind of shadow game, but he hardly accepts. He keeps telling me that he 'doesn't have the time' or-- when I asked him if he didn't want my puzzle-- that there are 'more important things than the Millennium Items.'" Atem paused, and frowned. "Which is odd, because he used to only care about the items and fighting me every chance he got. But almost always after he said something like that, he'd hold his head as though he had a headache, and mutter things, and quickly have Ryou take control." Atem shrugged. "He's mad. I mean, I'm sure he always has been, but no he's just really insane."

Rei couldent help but smile. "there are two souls in the ring.Zorc or the bakura your used to and the past bakura..the one I know.They arguring for control..." she said.

Atem ran a hand through his hair, sighing. "You know, for some reason, I've been remembering my past-- as pharaoh-- bit by bit. Bakura... gave himself up to help you, right?"
