Kenji nods, takes the chalice lightly and drinks the drop from it. He instantly feels different, though the change in indescribable. He looks around at teh world, but it all seems the same to him. Smiling, he looks at his hand as he moves his fingers and twists his wrist about.

Zaan nods. "You feel all right? Here." He pulls another vial from his robe and hands it to Kenji. "Drink this. Not as much fun as getting it straight from the source but...it'll do. After you do that, reach out...gently...with your mind to mine. You'll learn a lot when you do that."

Kenji drains the blood, letting the iron taste swirl around on his tongue before downing the flask. He reaches his mind out to his sire's and is suddenly filled with all sorts of information on the lore, history, and disciplines of the Tremere.

Zaan nods and motions Kenji back to the wagon. Once there, he takes the reins again and leads them on their path again. "So...any questions now?"

"No, I think they've all been answered... except one." He shoots a small, clumsy fireball into the woods. "Not bad, I'll just have to work at it..."

Kenji nods. "I understand, though you do me a disservice to assume I'd go shouting down the open roads that I'm now a vampire..." He joked. "Ah, well I assume we're close, I can sense something... though I don't know what it could be."

Zaan grins. "That's not exactly what I meant. I know you won't. You picked up the Tremere oath, and you know better anyway. ...Never mind. And yes, we are close. I can smell Kaven's filth all over this place." Looking about, Zaan sees they've entered a smallish, rundown village with a large castle looming in the background. "Ah...so he's become master of this little village... We'll make camp outside here. I have a feeling we'll have to fight our way through this village. If the people aren't his thralls, they probably at least fear him enough to bar our way."

"Sounds like a plan to me." Kenji stated, grabbing a whetstone and sharpening his blade, while also cleaning the dried blood off of it and his armor. "I'd like to have something I can lash out at, we've been hearing about this forever, time for action!"

Zaan's head snapped up. "Speak of the devils!" He points off in the distance where several figures armed with a variety of weapons are rushing towards them. Zaan leaps effortlessly up, does a flip, and lands in front of the wagon with his dagger drawn and his Dark Aura already in place. "No more playing around."

Kenji clumsily creates his own aura, and with his sword already drawn, starts off towards the enemies, following closely behind Zaan. Not worried about Sam and Kakashi, he lets out his fangs and goes to work on the first few enemies.

Zaan bares his fangs and summons his Servant. Magnifying his voice slightly for effect, he commands, "Go my Servant! Defeat them!" Hopefully that would at least startle anyone not under Kaven's control. When the first man, armed with only a pitchfork, reaches Zaan, they begin to fight. It is obvious the man has no formal training, but plenty of zeal. Zaan is hard pressed at first, before deciding to cast off all vestiges of modesty. He grabs the pitchfork and crushes the part in his hand into a powder. He then strikes a blow against the man's head, sending him flying several dozen feet in the air, where he crashes to the ground in a heap.

Kenji stumbles a bit, unused to his new speed and strength. Gaining control, he goes against a man with a long-bladed knife. Sending his wakizashi crashing through the ancient knife, Kenji leaps upon his victim and drains them of their vitae.
