Gatz sighed and shrugged.

"Welcome to the path of hopelessness," he said. "Not what I would have done, but as I said, it wasn't my choice to being with."

Gatz started to walk away, then paused, thinking of something.

"... Strong people who have no hope for a better furture... they have a tendency to try and drag the others around them down with them. For your own sake, I hope you don't..."

Gatz looked over his shoulder at his friend, his normally carefree face deadly serious.

"... Or else I'll have to stop you before that happens."

"True, true," Gatz said as he walked away, "but there are a lot of things worse than death. And what a person can live with doing is up to him. I'm just saying I won't idlely stand by if you start dragging innocents into your own affairs."

Gatz waved back at him as he left.

There was the sound of quick footsteps as Gatz started running back towards Scorpio. Then he leapt into the air to deliver a Su-style (Love Hina) flying kick to his friend.

"You idiot! That's not what I said at all!"

((BTW, how/what is Taurus doing?))

((Shouldn't he be doing something by now..? I mean, either escaping or getting hit by lava?))

Gatz rolls his eyes.

"Yes, I see. So isolating yourself from others so that you lose perspective of those around you is going to help, and not just make them potentional colateral damage. Brillant. Nobody would have ever saw that classic mistake coming."

He sighed and placed his hands behind his head.

"... You really need work on reading people. I told you 'not to drag innocents into this'. So what you don't do is cut your friends off like you were planning. What you should do let us know what the heck is going on, and what you intend. That way, when things hit the fan, we'll know weither or not to run for the hills, or stand our ground. This way there are no 'innocents' involved; everyone gets to make their own choice. Things like this get people involved no matter what one wants. If you let people know what's going on, though, any colateral damage can be kept to a minimum."

He smiled at Scorpio.

"That's part of the way friends are supposed to work, right?"

"Which one?" Gatz asked innocently. He looked over at Scorpio, and norrowed his eyes a bit as he smiled grimly.

"Well? Aren't you going to go give him a hand?" he asked. "It's not good to only do things half-way."

(("Unraveled", maybe? But that's when something comes apart, like threads on a piece of cloth being pulled off... Maybe you mean unwrapped?))

"Why do you keep asking me these questions like this? You're an adult; make your own choices."

Gatz pulled out a pair of headphones and shoved them on to show that he wasn't listening anymore. He also turned up the volume... just in case he needed to drown out any screams.

"---Though me, I'd let him live... then just kill him when he tries to backstab me as I leave. He seems like he might be the type to try it, and that way I wouldn't have to have any remorse over it. Sounds great, neh?"

"And if he doesn't try to kill you, and you just let him leave... Well, as he is now, he's really not much of a threat. He wastes too much of his power's potential for that. So, at worst, you'd just have to kill him later on."

"---But that said, you could also just get it all over with now and kill him, and steal his power in the process (as useless as it seems to be). Like I said, it's really up to you."

Gatz turned away, humming to the tune playing on the headphones.

The song ended and Gatz pulled of his head phones.

"Asking for advice isn't supposed to be same as asking for a decision to be made for you. It's supposed to help you to make a better decision by yourself," Gatz said sagely.

"However, if you'd like for me to make all of your decisions for you, I'm sure I can find a nice postion for you as my minion, or slave, or something equally fitting..." he said with a kind smile.

((Gatz is big on independence for individuals. xd You keep asking him to choose things for you, and he's probably just going to brush you off. wink But he thinks friends and other people are impoortant too.))
