Isiah wanted to shoot back oh, yeah? Ready to 'handle' her again all ready? but rubbing salt in the wound wouldn't help anybody. It wasn't.. completely Tsurai's fault. He groaned.
For a fleeting moment he wished he could be an idiot teenager again and chalk up all his mistakes to hormones and people tryin' to 'rape him' all the time. Tsurai would have been, by Isiah's teenaged standards, lucky as hell.
Well, maybe not with a chick.
But still.

Tsurai finally found what he was looking for; A switchblade. Everyone Tsurai knew back home wouldn't go anywhere without one. Tsurai lost his, and he didn't know where the one in his own duffelbag went, but here was Alex's, and that was good enough.
Before folding it out, he threw it at Isiah.
"Stand up, and we'll see if you've really ever been in a knife fight."

Isiah groaned, pushing himself onto his feet. The pain in his side was becoming more dull and easier to handle the more he simply accepted it.. "Kid, I've only been in.. maybe three... I really don't think this is a good idea."
Isiah was more than a little embarrassed that Tsurai was going to attempt to teach HIM something, rather than the other way around..

Tsurai groaned. "Fine. How about just defense, then?"
Tsurai took the knife from Isiah and shoved it in his pocket.
"I don't have two arms so this might be tough.. Do you know anything called Akeido, or are Denziens all upper body strength?"

Isiah swayed a little on his feet, spreading his feet apart for balance. "Um... self taught."
Which was true. No denzien applied himself to any one fighting style or school of martial thought. Kaegan was the exception, but he was sure to study a little bit of everything for an eclectic, hard to trace style that made him a difficult opponent. Isiah had learned MOST of his 'moves' from him- but, as was plainly seen to the untrained eye, Isiah reacted almost entirely out of instinct.

Tsurai sighed and walked forward. "Go easy and slow; we're both really tired. I'll just.. Let you move me."
Tsurai took his fist and leaned like he was frozen, trying to punch Isiah's chest. "So then you know the barrel roll? Or the shoulder throw? What would you do if I was stabbing you."

Isiah was becoming more uncomfortable with this by the second. "Grab your wrist and break it. How's that?" He grunted, wincing as pain suddenly worsened, then eased. "I really don't feel up to this right now, Tsurai."

Tsurai sighed, standing up straight and then sitting down. "You can't break a wrist that fast.. And me niether."
He laid on his back. "Sorry."
Alex came walking back, then. She was straightening out her shorts, brushing off her shirt, and then musing with her dirtied hair. She must've been busy with Braeden.
Alex was smiling, but not in her usual evil way, and actually acknowledged Isiah, for once, by giving a brief hi, then looking down at Tsurai. "Are you okay?" She asked.
"Do you have any food that isn't spiked with anything in your bag?" Tsurai returned.
"Oh.. Uh.. Actually, yes. Yeah, I think I do." Then she knelt to her bag and started looking for some of this non-spiked food.

Isiah grunted at her strange acknowledgement. He didn't know what to make of her. She helped close up his wound but.. what she did to Tsurai was completely unacceptable. But if the boy meant to deal with her on his own level then he wouldn't interfere...
He grumped a short, curt "Hi," Before plopping down on his rump similarly, grumbling to himself about being as bored as ********.

Alex came out of the bag with a box of jerky. "This batch is clean. So don't worry about it." She shook it at Tsurai.
"I don't know if I really trust you anymore, Alex." The woman shrugged, putting the box on the floor. "I think that's all I have. I packed up kinda fast."
Tsurai grunted, sitting up and looking through the duffelbag next to her. "I thought I saw some carrots in here, though."
"Oh.." Alex chuckled. "You don't want to eat those. That would really screw you up. They're not carrots, either. Just orange."
He looked at Alex, as if nothing had happened a few hours a go, or any distrusting had ever taken place. "Yeah? What'd you do to them?"
"It's a new drug I tried mixing. I haven't tested it, yet. I don't know what will happen. But it'd a hallucinagen. I don't think-"
"I'll test it for you. I mean, in my condition, I can't hurt anyone, right? Besides. this stuff might get us more food." he went for the box of orange carrot-looking pellets.
Alex grabbed Tsurai's arm. "No, I really don't think you should, Tsurai. I don't want you going crazy. Even if I wanted you to- which I don't- it'd be when you're atleast healthy. This makes your adrenaline shoot up. You'll burn all your resources."
"Tsurai grumbled. "Nonsense. I can live. If nobody tests, it how you gonna sell it?"

Isiah grunted. "Tsurai, don't be an idiot and put that s**t down. That's the last thing you need. I'm sure Braeden'd be more than happy to test it for her." He could not BELIEVE how stupid Tsurai was acting, RIGHT AFTER being taken advantage of. It was purely amazing.

Tsurai frowned and looked to Isiah. "I'd rather be goin' crazy then Braeden. Braeden's some a*****e with a knife. I'm a one-handed starving moron. Seriously, who's more dangerous? Me or him?"
Alex grimaced and wouldn't let go of Tsurai's arm. "That's not the point..."

"You are such a ******** moron. There's no point in putting your ******** body at risk." Isiah was becoming seriously irritated. "Put it down."
There was a slightly threatening tone to his words. He couldn't stand Tsurai acting like such a little retard.

Tsurai shook his head and a shiver went up his spine. Isiah was right. He chucked the drugs back in the bag.
"How long is what you gave me gonna last?" Tsurai grumbled, picking up a piece of jerky from the box and smelling it.
"Because being this calm is really starting to freak me out."
Alex play-shoved the boy. "It's been a few hours, so.. Maybe.. I think it will wear off in another hour or so.
Tsurai hissed at his bad arm being touched. "Try not to touch that, it still really hurts."
He looked over to Isiah, concerned. "You want some of this jerky?"

"I'm not too hungry." He lied. He wanted to say, let me try it first, but didn't want to shun Alex's kindness, especially when she would be feeding them for awhile. Or, Tsurai at least. Once Isiah was back on his feet he figured he might try to stomach some of that..
He shuddered at the thought. Desperate times..
