Tai watched carefully as his sensei stepped carefully onto the river. He then walked to the center of the river, turned around to face Tai, and he said "Alright. Now that i have demonstrated, its your turn to give it a shot. Now remember you have to focus a lot of your chakra to your feet. If you don't focus enough, you will just sink into the water," Tai looked at him with an overconfident smile and placed his hands together and began focusing his chakra. "This is gonna be easy" Tai said to himself. Then, with a running start, Tai leaped in the air above the river knowing that he would succeed.

"Tai! Not so fast" his sensei shouted but it was too late. Tai had carelessly jumped for the river expecting to land on it safely. As soon as Tai's foot touched the surface of the water, it immediatly sunk beneath the water's surface. The expression in Tai's face instantly turned from overconfidence to shock. Soon Tai was completely underwater. As he sank to the bottom he couldn't help but be embarrased. Instead of doing the technique patiently like he should have, he rushed so he could get his training over with. Tai then began swimming back to the surface knowing his sensei would be dissapointed.

Looking at Rikkou with a blush of embaressment, but screwed her fist up into a punch, without hesitation she hits the wall, in anger, not felling any pain, because the emotion of anger is to powerful, andry, she sits down, in fury, and begins drinking some water from a pouch she carries around her hip, "Hummmm...... im never going to get this, if i dont try, but its just to hard to fight, while having to make sure, that me and the clone are in perfect sicronization" she said, finishing some of her water, "I need to learn this, or im never going to make my familie's name look good, because right now, they have three dead sons and a daughter who is rubbish at being a student" Ayane began to cry, before whipping away her tears, and stood up, ready to master this technique once and for all.

Tamao looked at the mess on her bed and frowned. She hadn't thought it'd be such a bother packing! She had included only the barest necessities. Her dresses and undergarments, her books and beauty aids, her pillows and plushies. But it was a small suitcase, maybe it wouldn't all fit? That made her sad, she didn't really know what she could leave behind. This was really her first trip, after all. Finally, she gave up, and asked one of the hired help to help her pack. She hadn't really wanted to, but she needed some assistance, and the boat was leaving within the hour!
Even so, she felt kind of mad seeing the help toss so much of her belongings to the side as they packed a light and serviceable bag. Two changes of clothes with undergarments, one book and just a few beauty supplies, and a single pillow. That was it. She felt it was impossible, how could she ever survive on such a small amount of things! But no, she had promised herself she'd do this. She swallowed her pride, and picked up her pitifully light suitcase. before heading out of the house, to head to the docks. Before she left, her mother gave her a small pocketbook, with some spending money for her trip. She didn't want to accept it, but her mother insisted. Finally, she agreed, tucking it inside of a pocket. Finally, she could leave!
She made her way down to the docks on her own, she didn't want to be escorted by any. This was the beginning of her journey, she would do it herself! Even so, she had to stop once or twice on the way, already feeling out of breath a little. This only spurred her on more, to go become a ninja and get in shape! She finally made it to the docks, and received a ticket. Boarding the boat, she found a place to sit, to wait until she arrived at the Academy.
It was so boring! She tapped her foot against the boards underneath her, looking out across the endless water as she made her slow way to her destination. Why did it take so long to get there?! She felt a little frustrated that her book had been packed away, she could have used something to read right about now. No matter how impatient she got, it didn't make the boat go any faster. In fact, it made it seem to go slower. Finally, she gave up, and closed her eyes, trying to take a nap.
Without warning, the boat came to a sudden stop, jerking her awake. What? Where was she? It took her a moment to realize she was in a boat, and then she remembered everything. She got up and disembarked, a little wobbly from the extended boat ride. It wore off over time, as she made her way towards the Academy. She could see it in the distance, it wasn't that far away. Maybe she could make the trip without stopping for a break?
Wishful thinking. she had to stop on three seperate occasions in order to finish her trek. By the time she'd already reached the Academy, the sun had already passed it's zenith. She was getting hungry, too, she had skipped lunch in her excitement. She tried to ignore the rumbling in her tummy and walked into the Academy, wondering where she was supposed to go.
From there, things got confusing. A class had just been released, so she was swept up in a crowd that rushed out of the room. She tried to break free, but didn't until she had been deposited back at the entrance to the building. She dusted herself off and tried again. She wasn't ambushed by a throng of students this time; instead she just couldn't find any teacher or adult. She poked her head in several rooms, but they were all empty. It was at about this time that she began to get a bit depressed. Why was this being so troublesome?! She went ahead and sat down in an empty seat in one of the classrooms. Maybe if she waited long enough someone would show up, tell her what to do.
Sure enough, someone did. She had laid her head down on the desk, her eyes closed as she tried to stay calm. Suddenly, a voice rang out, grabbing her attention. Jerking upright, she looked around, until she saw who it was. They looked like an adult, or at least a good bit odler than her. He was more or less well-kempt, and seemed to have a bit of a studious air about him. He walked up and asked what she was doing where she was, and who she was. She explained her situation, and handed him her admission papers. He looked them over, apparantly he had at least something to do with them, for he seemed to know what he was looking at. He handed the papers back to her after making a few notes, and said she could begin classes in the morning. He introduced himself as one of the Academy's instructors, Zaziel Fukaimori. She tried saying the name, and he chuckled, saying that quite a few people had trouble with it. Instead, he said she could just call him Za-chan.
How scandalous! She'd never used a nickname before, what would people think? But it did sound kind of fun... She hesitated, and after her teased her and pressured her a bit, she gave up and called him Za-chan. He smiled, said he liked it. She smiled as well, that had actually been kind of fun!
That was the beginning of her long stay at the Ninja Academy. The first few months were very hard, she had to start training from the beginning, just to get in shape enough to keep up with the other students. It was really hard, she went to bed every night so sore she could hardly move. She never got enough sleep, and her lessons were even harder than at home. But it was kind of refreshing, doing something that she hadn't done before, and being pushed to do her best. As the days bled into weeks into months, she slowly but surely began to become more fit. It happened slowly, so slowly that she hardly even noticed it. But finally, after three long months, she realized that she didn;t get winded as easily anymore, that she could keep up with her classmates more easily now. This made her proud, and eager to keep going.
But in those three long months, her parents became less and less happy. They had been so sure she would have came back in the first week, possibly the first month. Here, it had already been three months, and she still hadn't come home! They'd had enough, they sent one of the help to go get her. He arrived within a day, and immediately set out to bring her back. He didn't really want to; he knew that this was what she really wanted to do, so he didn't want to interfere. But orders were orders. He finally caught her by the end of the next day, but couldn't go through with it. He said that he'd tell her parents he couldn't find her, and told her to become as strong as she felt she had to be. He returned to Nano empty-handed, and was likely punished.
This served as a catalyst for Tamao. Knowing that one of the family's servants had gotten in trouble, just to let her pursue her dream, made her more eager than ever to really become a ninja. But that wasn't all it taught her. That lesson taught her that she wasn't alone, that she always had friends. This enabled her to reach out more to her fellow students, and soon she had lots of friends. This was new to her, back in Nano she never really had what would be called a friend. But now, she had lots of them. She continued to study and practice hard every day,a nd slowly but surely she began to make progress. It wasn't easy, but now that she'd gotten this far, she wouldn't stop for anything! Even when she hurt herself in training, she still came back for more.
But even so, she was at a disadvantage compared to the other students. They had started at a younger age, and hadn't spent their formative years constantly indoors. She had quite a handicap to overcome, just keeping herself in shape, from not going back to her sedentary life. But she still tried, and it showed. It didn't happen very fast, but eventually she was able to consider herself on the same standing as her classmates. From there she managed to become a distinguished student. Not at the top of her class, but close enough to it that her time as the underdog seemed a memory.
And with her achieval of at least somewhat distinguished position came several perks. The first being she didn't need to devote every minute of every waking hour to training and study. She could afford to take a little bit of free time every so often, so she was able to spend time with her friends, discover all the sorts of fun things that friends could do. Sure, she knew fun things she could do by herself, but all the activities with her friends seemed so much more enjoyable. She told and laughed at jokes, she went to slumber parties and had pillow fights, she enjoyed some of the juiciest gossip. It was all fantastic fun, but perhaps it was too fun. Her grades dropped a little, inspiring her to try to find the balance of free time with work to keep good grades yet still have fun. It was a delicate equation, and she made quite a few missteps. But she soon found a working rhythm and fell into it, doing a good amount of study and training for most of each day, but leaving enough free time that she could go do things if she wanted.
By now, almost a year had passed. If she could look back at herself as she was before enrolling, she would have been shocked at the sheltered, pampered girl she had been. Now, she was a little wiser, and a little stronger. She felt more sure of herself, and liked the way she was now. Her newfound confidence wasn't ignored by others, no, even the teachers noticed and gave her a choice normally reserved for students a bit older than her. It was almost time for the dorm rotations, where you could move to a new dorm room if you had a problem with your current roommate. She had been the last student at the time, so she had been put into a single room before this. She gratefully took advantage of the chance to move to a double room, to finally have a roommate. It had been one of the things she had hoped for, way back when she had first came to the Academy.
Her request was approved, and she packed up her things. She moved into a double room, it was a lot bigger than her last room. She didn't know who her roommate would be, yet, she had opted to pair up with a new student, so she could maybe help them the way she had been helped. And she knew just how to do that. Show them what it meant to have fun, at the same time helping them study. She had been an only child, she thought in a situation like this she could be like an older sister or something. Not much older, mind you, just a year or two. Enough to know things her 'younger sister' wouldn't, but young enough to still be fun.
She tried thinking of what sort of a welcome she should offer her roommate to be. A small party? No, too extravagant. A cold welcome, to see what they were like before being friends? No, that was just needlessly mean. A friendly greeting? That's it! She picked up the pillow from her bed and tossed it lightly into the air, catching it neatly. Ever since her first pillow fight, it had been one of her favorite pastime activities. Maybe her roommate would feel the same way? She tossed the pillow once more experimentally, wondering when her roommate would arrive. She'd been told it would be today, but it was already pretty late. As if on cue, the doorknob twisted, and the door opened...

Hedoro shuffled down the set of stairs that led to the podium, hearing some of the students make snide comments. That she'd already gotten in trouble her first day, that she'd be sent back to whatever cesspool she called a home, things like that. She ignored them and stood at lazy attention, gazing at the instructor. He didn't look very interesting, probably did everything by the book and led a horribly boring life. Perfect for being a teacher, but much more difficult to reach out to students. They usually wanted someone at least somewhat energetic and friendly, someone they felt they could talk to. She wondered just what sort of person could serve as a father figure/position of authority for her? She didn't respect authority in the slightest, maybe if she'd had a better life she might have?
But thoughts like that wouldn't keep her fed, she unceremoniously tossed it aside. The instructor welcomed her to the class, told her if she had questions about anything she could ask him, and things like that. Likely the same speech he'd used on every other new face he saw each year in his classroom. She did bring up the matter of the wrong name, but luckily that must have been a recurring problem, there were no difficulties in getting it changed to her own name. The instructor made some comment about how he liked her name, which she immediately disregarded as a generically bland piece of small talk. That was really all that the instructor had to say, so she slipped out of the classroom, stepping outside for some fresh air. She didn't really care for being cooped up indoors, it reminded her too much of other times.
She saw a few other students congregating near a small outdoor food cart, it smelled like it was ramen, maybe? She was kind of hungry herself but didn't go over to introduce herself. No, it was better to remain in self-imposed isolation, if she were to become close to someone they could find out what she really was. And if that happened, then it wouldn't be a far stretch to see word getting back to those who pursued her. She didn't want that, so no matter how fun it might be to have a friend, or even an acquaintance, she had to stay alone. She walked past the crowd, deciding she just wanted to be alone for a while. Finding a somewhat secluded spot, she came to a stop, settling down against a tree.
It was a good spot, she had a clear view of the sky. The sky itself was a piercing blue, with big fat puffy clouds slowly passing through. She could hear the chitters of a squirrel and the cheeps of a few birds; it was a nice and tranquil scene. She enjoyed such things, but only when she was alone, in unguarded moments. Without anyone to force their will upon her, she could take pleasure in the simple things, things that were free, like she wished to be. She relaxed, stretching out, feeling her grimy clothes with a little distaste. She enjoyed these moments well enough, but they always made her feel a bit bad about herself.
She wasn't an innocent free thing like those birds or clouds. She'd done bad things, horrible things. And she hardly felt any remorse for them all, she'd do them again if the situation called for it. Even her clothes, they were dirty, discarded remnants of other people's lives. Some she'd stolen from unguarded houses, others she'd liberated by force. But they all had one thing in common, they were filthy. Filthy with dirt, weighed down with sin. Even if she were to wash them, it wouldn't change anything. Not for the first time, she regretted her lot in life. Why had she been made the way she was, it was all she'd ever known. Had it been intentional, had whoever her parents had been done it on purpose? Or had it been an accident, some horrible mistake gone awry? She would likely never find the answer to that question, it would remain with her for her entire life.
She tried to put that thought out of her mind, instead soaking up more tranquility from her surroundings. She didn't know how this venture would turn out, if she would be able to become a ninja, if she would be able to become strong enough to protect herself, if nobody would find out what she really was. She had a lot to worry about, which made peaceful moments like these all the more precious to her. She settled a little further in place, absentmindedly watching as an energetic squirrel dashed down a nearby tree trunk. It approached her, stopping just short of the tip of her foot. She watched it curiously, wondering what it was doing, why wasn't it scared of her. She held a hand up and slowly, very slowly, reached forward to hold her hand out to the little animal.
She felt surprised when the little squirrel ran right up her arm, stopping about halfway, near her elbow. She peered a little closer at the little critter, did it have rabies or something? No, it appeared to be normal, but why wasn't it scared of her? Now that she thought about it, lots of animals hadn't seemed scared of her over the years. Unless, of course, when she'd been in a bad mood and lashed out at them. But most of the time they either treated her with indifference or actual occasional tentative familiarity, like this one was. She smiled under her layers of clothing, it actually was kind of cute. She let it continue to run up her arm, watching as it now clambered up on her shoulder. It was a cute little thing, all chittery and twitchy. She would have enjoyed watching it cavort for some time, if a noise hadn't startled it and sent it dashing up the tree she was leaning against.
Wondering what had frightened it, she looked around. What the?! The instructor stood ahead and slightly to her left, when had he gotten there?! She straightened up and silently asked what he was doing there. Instead of answering right away, the instructor laughed a bit, saying how he had no idea Hedoro was so good with animals. She protested this, but he brushed her off, saying it was a good thing. Without waiting for an invitation or permission, he plopped down next to her, almost shoulder to shoulder. She pulled back a little, as always, actively disliking physical proximity. This only made the instructor laugh harder. Once he calmed down a bit, he apologized for laughing at her, but said he knew her.
She doubted that sincerely, and said as much. He amended his statement, saying he knew her type. Someone who barred themselves off from the world, thinking they were all alone. There were lots of people like that, he'd seen quite a few in his years as an instructor. While she couldn't dispute that what he said did actually sound like her, she still protested being lumped in with the others. He didn't know anything about her at all, after all. That was true, and he admitted it. But, he said, getting to know people, regardless of what they view as their faults, is something that made being a teacher just a good job. He loved meeting new people, learning about them, being friends with them.
Hedoro didn't have a witty comeback for this, maybe she had been wrong when she had thought of him as a boring, by-the-books type. She actually said this, and caused the instructor to laugh once more. He couldn't really deny that, a lot of people thought that about him. But he really did like getting to know all his students, even the grumpy ones like her. If Hedoro had been a normal girl, she might have blushed at this, but instead she just sighed and nodded. Fine, he'd made his point. What was he doing here anyway, didn't he have a job?
Yes, he did. This was the part of his job where he got to spend free time with his students, get to know them better. Hedoro thought that was just an excuse, that he wanted to get out of teaching as much as most students wanted to get out of learning. Another gale of laughter. Wiping a tear from his eye, the instructor remarked that Hedoro actually did have a sense of humor, now he was sure more than ever that they could be friends.
With a groan of digust, Hedoro bonked her head against the tree trunk, giving up. Fine, do what you want, she told him. He got to his feet, and patted her roughly on the head. She recoiled, although maybe not quite as much as she usually would have. She watched as he started to walk away, and impulsively asked a question. His name? He chuckled a bit, he'd never introduced himself, had he? Zaziel Fukaimori, but call him Za-chan. Hedoro made a rude sound, but still watched as Zaz- no, Za-chan- disappeared further into the forest. Maybe this wouldn't be as boring as she thought? She stayed where she was until the sun started it's descent, lengthening shadows and cooling the air slightly. She finally got to her feet, and walked back towards the Academy, and the dorm nearby.
She had decided to stay in the dorms on a whim, hoping that the constant exposure to people would keep her on guard, make sure she didn't slip up and reveal herself by mistake. But now, somehow, she was filled with nervousness as she approached the large building. This wasn't like her! What did she have to be nervous about? If someone gave her problems, make them stop. It was as simple as that. Or was it? she tried picturing herself striking out at a fellow student. Somehow, it felt wrong, like she shouldn't do it. What was wrong with her?! She'd done just that countless times over the years! Why should now be any different?! It must all be that instructor, Za-chan's fault! Yeah, that was it! She was so lost in thought, she didn't even notice she'd reached the door to the bedroom she'd been assigned. She'd made it through the majority of the building while deep in thought.
Scowling, she opened the door and stepped inside of her temporary home. Only to be struck in the face. Staggering back, she grabbed the object that was thrown at her. A pillow? She looked deeper into the room. What in the world? Sitting on one of the beds, a girl grinned at her and readied a second pillow. What the heck? Hedoro stepped back and closed the door. Apparantly just in time, as a muffled thump against the door told her the girl had thrown the other pillow. She glanced down, she was still holding the first one. An impulsive idea came to her. The other girl had attacked without warning, maybe she should do the same?
Hedoro whipped the door open, took aim, and chucked the pillow directly at the other girl. She looked surprised, and tried to react. But she wasn't fast enough, the pillow bounced off her shoulder. She groaned in mock-pain, and fell off the bed. Hedoro stared blankly, what in the world was this girl's problem? And why was she in her room, anyways? Oh, wait, there were two beds. She must be her roommate. Hedoro sighed, she had kind of been hoping she'd get her own room. At least the other person didn't seem to dislike her or anything. It could be worse, she'd just have to try to get used to it. Hedoro stepped inside the room, closing the door behind her. By this time, the other girl had gotten to her feet. She smiled and held a hand out to Hedoro, introducing herself.

((lol I can't compare to those last two posts))

Akuma, one of the strangest nins of kiragakure at age 14 he was just now going to finish his training in the Academy. Why you ask? Because he has almost no knowledge of most jutsu excluding 1 of his own creation. As he rose from the tangled sheets of the bed he was staying in for his short stay at the academy he was greeted by the sight of his weapons on and near the bedside table. These weapons along with a few other items were the only clues to his past life, who was he? Did he really belong in Mist? Why were his weapons imprinted with the symbol of a hand scythe on both the blade and hilt? These were questions that plagued him daily. What he didn't know was that his chosen name wasn't too far from the truth. He was a remanent, a cast-off created from the destruction of the soul of another nin from the past. He was the result of a broken promise, a self imposed imprisonment in the living world giving the soul times to atone for it's sins and shortcomings. From time to time Akuma he heard voices coming from the 3 blades that were his main weapons, these voices seemed to be benevelont and wanted to help guide him. For the most part he listened especially when it came to his dreams. Since he woke up in Mist he had been visited by dreams every time he went to sleep, dreams in which he walked between the worlds. In these dreams he was someone else, someone he'd faintly remembered and all around him floated ghostly figures, hundreds of them really some pleaded out to him for release while other begged for forgiveness, but most of them didn't interest him. The phantasmal figure that always caught his attention was the young Suna nin who always stayed at the edge of the crowd of clamouring ghosts. She always remained silent the only one who neve spoke, well almost never. One time when the dreams became more intense and started becoming painful she stepped into the crowd and it parted infront of her all of the other ghosts becoming as silent as she. Then she reached out a hand and said something that he simply didn't understand. "Nii-chan," Brother? why had she called him that? He wasn't from Suna he was from mist, but before he could ask the dream disapated like so many scattering crows. That had been the night before he had left for the academy and by now he had forgotten about it. Tightening his headband on his neck he scooped up the twin daggers and opted to leave the heavy Zanbato behind for the heavy training he had planned for this morning. He peered out the window into the early morning light to see his teacher waiting in the shade of the building. "Saizo-sensei!" he crowed leaping out the open window, but not before catching his foot on the sill and toppling downward in an undignified fashion. " I'm ok!" he held up a shaky thumbs up before scrambling up and dusting himself off while his teacher stifled his laughter behind his hand.

"So Saizo Sensei are we going to start now? I think I'll finally be able to get outta here today don't yah think?" he stood there eagerly clenching and unclenching his fists with all the exuberance of a child half his age.
"I don't know about that Akuma-kun. Most people take years to learn the techniques required to be called a genin. I admit you are a special case, but you've only been here 3 days I'd be surpised if you weren't still here a month from now." his mild mannered sensei smiled down at his teenage ward. Though he had only known him for 3 days the young teen had progressed quickly. "Today we will be working on the art of the doppleganger or Bunshin no jutsu. Now watch and repeat." With a few simple handseals Akuma was surrounded by a ring of clones and he couldn't even begin to tell the difference between them.

"Ok I can do this. Bunshin no Jutsu!" his hands flowed through the handseals quickly and when he stoped there was a flash of smoke followed imediatly by another burst of smoke. " UUwhhaa????!? What happened? Sensei what happened?!?" he stamped his foot in impaitience

"You had it there for a second, but you lost your focus and thus your clone fell apart at the seams, you shouldn't get so excited take it slow and focus this time."

Ayane took the Umbrella off her back, and got out a kunai, chucking the loose end of the umbrella at Rikkou, she watches as it is propeled forwardby the wind, holding her now, visible sword, and kunai, she chuckes her kunai, straight at the umbrella, before quickly starting the hand-signs, while holding the sword in her mouth,, jumping up, she creates a clone, grabbing the sword out her mouth, Ayane jumped up into the air, and dives towards Rikkou, ebfor slashing his arm, and kicking him, in the stomche, but kicking him in the stomche send ayane off balance, and she falls, to the ground, cutting her self, on the leg, looking up she sees her clone standing there, and she smiles, even though, she has been found out to ber the real Ayane.

As he broke throught he water's surface, Tai shook off some water. His sensei looked down at him as he bobbed up and down in the water and said "Just because you focus chakra in your feet doesn't mean your not going to break the surface tension. Your still an academy student. You don't have enough chakra to run across water. I'm teaching you the basic water walking so you can perfect it on your own. Now try it again and this time focus more on the task at hand." Tai nodded and swam back to the edge of the river. He climbed up and began focusing for his second attempt.

Ayane, jumped up, straight after being caught, she blushed, felling quite embarresed she, she quickly ran back to her seat, and sat down, getting out one of her suriken stars, she began fidlling with it, trying not to think of what just happened, still blushing slightly she, stared at Rikkou, waiting for him, to show her anouther technique.

This time Tai concentrated more carefully. He used all the force he could to get his chakra to his feet. This time he could feel the energy around his feet. He looked down at them and saw his feet glowing a light blue. He knew this time he would make it. He stepped onto the water carefully. he walked in front of his sensei. Tai could feel himself losing balance. Slowly he began sinking into the water. Suddenly with a splash he was back in the water. His sensei laughed and said "Well at leas this time you managed to stand on the water for a minute. Give it one more shot. You almost had it that time."

Tai nodded with determination. He got back out of the water, closed his eyes, and began focusing again. "Remember, tap into the deapest part of your chakra network" his sensei said. Tai could feel the heart of his chakra network trying furiously to give him the energy he needs. He felt all his charka in his feet. Tai opened his eyes and looked down at his feet. This time the blue aura was much brighter. He then slowly stepped onto the water. He walked to his sensei slowly hoping he wouldn't sink. "All right! Well you havn't sunken yet so looks like you pass this part of your training. Now on to the next task."

"Ok, ok... focus I can do that." And thats exactly what he did. He brought his hands together channeling his chakra through handseals. He was quickly surrounded by a ring of half formed clones. "Ok Saizo-sensei they didn't disapear this time, but there still not right."

"this time your only problem is that you went for quantity instead of quality. Next time just focus on making one or two and you should have it down." Saizo had to admit the kid was moving pretty fast through this technique.
