"You did great for your first battle," Jaeshan said with a proud smile, recalling the fallen Bagon. He glanced over at Butterfree, who was floating elegantly over the battlefield as he made his next choice. "Let's go, Nidoking!" he called, releasing the large, purple Pokemon. Nidoking lashed his mighty tail on the ground, and stomped his feet, clearly eager to do some damage. A second later, the woman released her next Pokemon as well, a Girafarig. It pawed the ground, ready for action. Jaeshan quickly set his Pokemon on the attack - Butterfree fired a powerful, multi-coloured Psybeam at the Hitmontop while Nidoking was told to follow up with a ground-shattering Earthquake. The faster Butterfree launched her attack, a fierce blow to the chest of the Hitmontop while Nidoking raised one powerful leg, sumo-wrestler style, and brought it down hard, sending a tremendous shockwave over the ground. Shards of rock and stone were blasted up underneath the two opposing Pokemon. Hitmontop recovered quickly, launching itself into the air to attack Butterfree with a Rapid Spin, while Girafarig, looking a bit shaken, fired a Psybeam of its own at Nidoking.

"Wha?!" Aphrodite said, as the much smaller Pokemon clung to her back. She flailed and bucked violently, trying to get Felsic off. After a couple of minutes, she gave up at that attempt, and turned her neck to try to see the other Pokemon. If I could just... turn a little farther, she thought, then I could blast him with an Ice Beam and knock him off... Try as she would, the best that Aphrodite could do was turn her neck so that she could see Felsic out of the corner of her eyes.
However, a smile slowly made its way onto her face.
Aphrodite's eyes glowed a bright blue color as she looked at Felsic. "If you won't get off of me, then I'll just make you do it myself," she stated simply.

Felsic looked down, a brighter shade of blue than he remembered. "What's huh?" He felt a tug, being lifted into the air. Not feeling like going quietly, he stared the Lapras in the face, firing a Flamethrower right at her forehead, hoping to break her concentration.

If there's one status condition I cannot stand it's that! Winona grit her teeth, confusion cost her many battles in the past. Suddenly, she remembered a little fact about her female Tropius. "Show it some lovey dovey power Trop, Attract!"
The grass Pokemon tilted its head and winked suggestively, a little heart floating over to Fang.

"Gah!" Aphrodite yelled, as she got blasted by the attack. Because of this, she lost her concentration, thus causing Felsic to be dropped down onto the ground. Backing up several feet and managing to sustain the attack, she glared at the Fire Pokemon.
"You know what?" Aphrodite asked Felsic, "I don't take so kindly to rudeness. For that..." She didn't finish her sentence, but rather, opened her mouth and started to sing. However, this melody was not what one would expect out of a Lapras-- it was not joyful, or happy, or anything even of that nature.
But, rather, it sounded extremely mournful and almost... morbid.
When she finished singing, she smiled slightly. "Perish Song."

Kasiya tilted her head. Well it's not like this is a major setback, she thought, scratching her chin. Fang likes to show his affection dangerously. "It's time for some tough lovin', Fang! Toxic!" she cried, hoping he'd be able to pull it off. The Crobat zipped across the battlefield, straight for the Tropius. "Damn," Kasiya muttered, as Fang opened his mouth wide and glomped Tropius's head, using his four wings to keep himself steady. The Crobat made excited cries as he finally let go, leaving in his place, a searing blob of toxic purple goo. "I can't believe it," Kasiya murmured, staring at the Crobat in awe. "Brilliant, Fang!" she called, to which he replied by screeching loudly.

Butterfree took the attack from Hitmontop, still raring to go. The fighter jumped at her again, his foot extended and ready to make contact, when the butterfly spat out a sticky spread, String Shot, wrapping him tightly and pulling him into her. The added weight pulled them both to the ground, Butterfree struggling to keep her hold while Hitmontop struggled to break free.
Nidoking took the Psybeam, but it only succeeded in angering him as he roared loudly, lowered his head and began to charge, his horn glowing brightly as he rammed into Girafarig with a Mega Horn. The Long Neck Pokemon staggered back, crying out in pain from the powerful attack. It steadied itself, before leaping high into the air and coming down hard onto the back of Nidoking with a fierce Stomp attack, driving the Drill Pokemon face-first into the ground.

As Dante watched the battle he silently prayed that Bahamut wouldn't act like that when she became a Flygon. She could eat whatever she wanted but he really didn't want to have to fly on the back of such a loopy pokemon. Glancing over he smiled at Flannery somewhat befor remebering something. "Oh yeah..." He said as he reached into his side bag and pulled out a blank Frontier Pass and handed it to her. "I got this from Scott, since you are a gym leader and all I am sure it will be ok if I give this to you." He said with a small smile on his face. His own Frontier Pass was pinned on his black messinger bag.

"Alright Larvitar, lets keep training some more so we can beat the leader in the next town over. I think it's a flying type gym, so we should have an advantage. But still, it won't be easy and we'll need to get stronger first." Crenu sighed as he looked down at Larvitar. "If only I had another pokemon, things might be a little easier. Whatever, lets do this!" Larvitar got into a training stance and awaited the next command.

"Alright, Use bite Larvitar!" Larvitar jumped forward and snapped the air infront of him, echoing an empty sound. "Now, dodge and do three more, one right after the other!" Larvitar jumped to the side, then forward biting. As he bit, he swung his head to the side and bite twice more. "Dodge forward, then go into bite!" Larvitar dove and rolled forward as if dodging a frontal attack. As he finished his roll, he used that momentum to spring forward and bite the invisible opponent as he flew through the air. "Alright, good warm up."

Keegan had been wandering around outside aimlessly, after just putting in a call to home about the egg. It picked up his spirits when he'd found out that there was an extra egg, and he would head home to pick it up before he'd call Jaeshan to tell him he was on his way. The boy strolled through Mauville City, his trusty Vulpix at his side, ignoring the looks people were giving him. Yeah, I know my face is a mess, he thought bitterly. I'm all cut up and black and blue. But I don't care, I showed that punk not to mess with me.
He neared the gym, and stopped outside of it, looking longingly at the doors. As much as he wanted to get in there and challenge the leader, he had a job to do first. "I can't let Jae down," he said, rubbing his hands together and looking at Helios. "We'll take on Wattson when we get back," he went on. "Then we'll be almost halfway there." Excitement fluttered in his stomach as he passed the Pokemon Center next, and soon they arrived at the Bike Shop. Keegan said not a word as he handed over the yellow slip, and his bike was handed back to him, good as new. They'd even painted over and polished the scuffs and scratches he'd put in it. He thanked them for their great work, and was back outside instantly, riding the bike with Helios in the wicker basket.

"Come on Nidoking!" encouraged Jaeshan. "Hang in there!" Nidoking pulled himself up, growling fiercely. He roared, and dashed in at the Girafarig, plowing into it with his entire body. Girafarig cried out, trying to keep from being shoved to the ground. It opened its mouth and fired a Psybeam, which went by Nidoking's right ear.
Meanwhile Hitmontop was struggling to break free from Butterfree's String Shot, which still held the two of them together. The fighting Pokemon managed to gain his footing, and slammed into Butterfree with a Tackle, the two of them rolling back around in the dirt again. The butterfly Pokemon then started to drain away his health with a Giga Drain, both Pokemon were engulfed by an emerald green light as this occured.

"Alright Larvitar, lets go for something new." Crenu picked up a bundle off rocks, then took one from the pile in his hand. As he tossed it up and down as f trying to get a feel for it, Larvitar's eyes bonced with it untill he got dizzy. "Heh heh, alright buddy. Here goes. Bite!" Crenu chucked the rock at Larvitar, and he cought it in his teeth. Crenu grinned as he threw another rovk, this time to the far left of Larvitar. Larvitar jumped for it and barley cought it, but as Crenu threw another above him, Larvitar could not get up fast enough to cath it. "That's alright, try again. Bite!" Crenu threw two rocks, one to the left and another to the right a few seconds after and continued this pattern. Larvitar streached his head for the first one, then leapt for the second. As he landed, he cought sight of the third and forth rock and waited. As they got closer to him, he ran beside them and dove,. catching both in his mouth and crushing them into dust. "Nice."

Kilik paused in the middle of the town, his attention moving to the large Gym. He scowled. Soon, he would be fighting the one person he thought he'd never be able to defeat (save Giovanni) for his badge a second time. Flareon felt the same way, a low growl escaping its small body. Kilik turned heel and began to head toward the Mart. And then he paused again. "I don't need to teach you guys anything yet. Come on," he turned around again, moving toward the Gym.

Butterfree released her grip on the Hitmontop, flying up as she did so and firing a point-blank Psybeam into its face. It was thrown over backwards, struggling to regain its footing. It jumped up once more, attempting to land a Triple kick, but only two of three potential attacks hit their mark.
Enraged by the Psybeam that had narrowly missed him, Nidoking roared savagely before throwing himself into a violent Thrash, pummeling the Girafarig with both of his powerful forearms. The Long Neck Pokemon staggered back and collapsed, defeated.
